  1. Peter, Wilhelm's previous wife's little brother, gasped and he looked at the missive with a frown "This man has no shame, has he?" he murmurred to himself
  2. Johann Ludovar smiled from the sky "That's my boy!" he said, proud of his ward.
  3. Peter smiled widely hearing the news "THEY DID IT!" He cheered, for a second he was about to go search for Laurelai to be excited together with her, then he rememberred he doesn't remember how to contact her.
  4. Perked a brow as he read the missive in interest. Quickly he mounted his horse to meet two of his friends. He gathered them together and pulled the missive with a small smirk "what do you say?" He asked @tcs_tonsils_ @Capt_Chief26
  5. sitting on the edge of the dock with his fishing rod, the young Jakob Vernhart shook his head with a deep sigh. He looked to the sky and wondered by himself "How can we save our people when the roots of toxicity run so deep and hide so well between our ranks?" he asked himself before a feeling of nausea took over him, he quickly collected his tools and went back to his house to rest.
  6. Johann Ludovar smiles from the sky to his daughter and gives her a tumbs up at her hard work
  7. Jakob Vernhart sat on his chair in front of his table. his head resting on his hand, grabbing his hair tightly. The loud boy who used to jump around and try make friends grew to be a distant, cold, and calculated man. But his heart was still with his parents. He was mad at the world but never at them, he knew they were not at fault. He never showed weakness, he never wavered, but when he heard of his parents' illnesses. Only then... only then his cold poker face and brief calculated smiles broke, only then he really felt shaken. He knew his mother's situation, but he also knew he could not handle it. And it scared him. He distanced himself further, doing his best to not react when she spoke to him and tried to prepare him. He gave short answers brushing it off. Was it a mistake? Regret took over him. Should he have spoken to her more? Was he supposed to let her know how he really feels? Looking back, one part of his heart told him he should, but the other was too scared to show his real emotions. It has been so long since he last did... 'What am I even supposed to do now?' He asked himself, finally lifting his head. He looked to the ceilings left only with questions, confusion, and regret.
  8. So, I don't know if has been brought up before, but it has been really bothering me how hard it is to use the forums from the phone, the menu is a bit hard to navigate through, when you try to press on a topic so it will take you to the link on many sub forums it doesn't do anything or takes you to write a new post instead, and lacks things from the computer version, on top of that the buttons above that lead to that menu and such are covered by the logo so it most of the time makes you press on the logo instead of the buttons and takes you to the home page. I personally like browsing through my phone much better than through my computer (in general, not specifically here) so how unaccessible the forum is through the phone bugs me a lot. It would be amazing if you could make the phone version more accessible and easier to navigate. Thanks a lot for your time!

  13. Jakob Vernhart read the response and looked to the sky. He was conflicted. On the one hand, some might think the issue is now over, that he got the reply to his question of 'why?'. Some of it really has. But he knew it didn't end the real problem. The man whose only dream was to sail away in a boat and fish, was now regarded as greedy for a position he never wanted, and the division within his beloved nation that he wanted to finally close, would only grow. He wondered, what could even be done if no one would even lend an ear.
  14. A Letter to the Royal Duma; On What is Eating Us from the Inside Published by the Grand Maer, Jakob Vernhart, in 437 E.S. To my nation, to our People, to Their Majesties and to the Royal Duma: I open this letter by stating I do not wish to fight against my nation, but only for it. This letter is one of my ways to fight for my beloved home, because there has been an ailment eating us from inside for far too long. Our people have been splitting; some content and prospering, and others fighting for recognition, yet losing hope they will get any. Some have been growing closer to the crown, while the rest feel left behind. Their Majesties work hard everyday for our nation - and there is a lot of work to do. It is a given that they must have their own councils of capable men and women by their sides; aiding them in making our nation greater everyday. And these councils have become what aspiring people of our nation dream of: a seat beside and under the Crown. No honor could be greater. Yet, a recent appointment has made me decide I must break silence. Duke Mikhail var Ruthern is a very talented man; displaying inspiring capabilities, and a great passion for the military and politics. I could easily see him sitting on the seat of the Lord Marshal, an Ambassador to a nation promising foreign or even the Envoy. However, instead of a hardworking member of the Queen's Council, a man with no previous relation to said Council has been appointed to be the second to the Queen: the Grand Lord. Why? Were the courtiers who worked for years, some even during the reign of Queen Emma, not enough? Why was their hard work neglected? I must admit I know not the reasons behind this appointment and this is what motivated me to write this letter; to discuss and raise questions. From a glance at the Crown's Councils, there is a worrisome picture being drawn. Each seat is occupied by close friends of their Majesties. I do not doubt for a second that each man and woman on these councils are capable, or else I would have broken my silence much sooner. I also do not doubt Duke Mikhail’s talent, as stated previously, but this situation might raise some questions - given all these facts: A man with no previous relations to the Queen’s Council, who is close to Her Majesty, receives a seat on the Aulic Council under an office he had no previous ties to, nor any experience in, following many appointments of people only close to the Crown in one way or another. What are we trying to convey to our people? That if they are not in their Majesties’ close circles then they have no hope of climbing up no matter what they do? This divide in our people has been felt for longer than it should, I merely decided to break my silence now; that the divide does not make sense to me anymore. I have watched my colleagues, my family’s friends, and various other citizens of Haense grow apart from our Kingdom for so long. Some have gotten up and left, and some have simply given up and grew further apart mentally - losing motivation or hope. It brings me to tears. I was born and raised here and am willing to fight to my last drop of blood for this kingdom, thus I cannot watch this from the sidelines any longer. I want for all our people to feel like they have equal opportunity and that the Crown loves them all the same, and I trust the Crown does as well. So I wish for us to talk this through; I want us to break the silence and speak our minds. This is why I put forth a request to the Lord Speaker and the members of His Majesty's Duma to hold a meeting of the Duma of great importance, where we shall open discourse of such a harrowing yet important topic to me. Signed, The Honourable, Jakob Vernhart, Grand Maer of Karosgrad

  16. A Home for All - Jakob for Maer Introduction: Jakob Vernhart is the oldest son of Iulius Vernhart, the Komptroller of Immigration, a young scholar learning from his father. From a young age he faced the loneliness of the city for one from a lower background, one with no connection or interest to noble life. From his experience he rose and decided no other should face such loneliness, and the city of Karosgrad must become a home for all, no matter what your background is. Goals: Make Karosgrad a more inviting city for people of different backgrounds Make positions and finding jobs more accessible Decrease the loneliness of residents of the city May our kingdom thrive and develop forever, so our people will have the greatest life we can provide them. Jakob Vernhart

  20. I like this a lot! I recently thought that suchca thing could help create a more interesting rp. My main question is - when you take out that serving, does it create another item to give another player or if I want to sell people bottles or such do I need to make tons of kegs and wait long until I prepare a sufficient amount of bottles
