EARLY LIFE, DIRECT CONTACT WITH SUBJECT
Vladim Horenski was born in the northern reaches of the Kingdom of Haenseti-Ruska, in a rural village where the harsh winters shaped the character of those who survived them. His family, poor but resilient, instilled a sense of duty and discipline in him from a young age. He joined the Haenseti-Ruska military at the age of 17, quickly rising through the ranks due to his sharp intellect and ability to command. Initially serving as a common soldier, Horenski's ambition led him to a strategic position within the army, where he began to study revolutionary doctrines.
During the Kingdom's struggle against the Holy League that Horenski’s potential began to crystallize. Amidst the chaos of the conflict, he became increasingly disillusioned with the hierarchy of Haenseti-Ruska and the nation's leadership. His fervor for change, combined with a charismatic ability to influence and manipulate those around him, propelled him to the position of Propaganda Commissar.
In this role, Horenski became a master of ideological warfare. He utilized his position to spread the seeds of Neosanoism (a perversion of the teachings of Sano, applied to the socio-political landscape of Haenseti-Ruska). Under Horenski’s influence, the Haenseti military's rhetoric shifted, with the soldiers indoctrinated to view their cause as part of a larger global revolution, rather than mere territorial conquest. His speeches were filled with fire and conviction, rallying troops with promises of a new world order rooted in equality, though, in truth, it was an ideology built to destabilize and tear apart the old guard.
In the final days of the Kingdom's defense against the Holy League, Horenski's name became synonymous with the failed resistance. His revolutionary zeal had alienated him from those around him, and when the Kingdom's leaders agreed to surrender, many considered him a dangerous figure to be suppressed or executed. Yet, even as the surrender was signed, Horenski’s influence continued to grow in the shadows.

ESCAPE AND EXILE
As the Haenseti army capitulated and its forces were disbanded, Horenski’s position became untenable. Aware of the growing opposition to his radical ideology within the remnants of the Kingdom’s political structure, he attempted to flee to the Ruskan Mountainside, a secluded region known for its rugged terrain and sparse population. From there, he planned to continue his revolutionary activities, likely seeking refuge among the outcasts and militias that dotted the mountain regions.
However, Horenski’s escape was thwarted at the Eastern Border, where he was captured attempting to cross into foreign territory. Disguised as a common traveler, he was detained by border patrols after being identified by his distinctive tattoo and a loose description provided by those who had worked with him in his later years. His arrest was a blow to the factions of his former supporters, and his capture marked the end of his brief but incendiary influence over the Haenseti military.
Following his capture, Horenski was deemed a dangerous radical and was subjected to a high-profile trial. Due to the international repercussions of his actions, and the delicate political situation between the Kingdom of Haenseti-Ruska and neighboring states, the decision was made to exile him rather than execute him outright. He was sent to a remote foreign isle in the far southeastern reaches of the known world—an isolated place where his revolutionary activities could be curtailed, yet not easily monitored.
The island, a bleak and unforgiving place, was intended to serve as a permanent cage for Horenski, far removed from the political currents of the continent. However, rumors persist that he is still attempting to communicate with radical sympathizers from his exile, reaching out to those in the Eastern territories who share his passion for Sanoism.
THE OYASHIMAN CONNECTION
One of the most troubling elements of Horenski's rise is his unexpected and controversial relationship with the Oyashiman, a powerful and insular samurai culture hailing from the far western lands. The Oyashiman are known for their strict codes of honor and martial prowess, yet Horenski was able to infiltrate their ranks and gain their favor.
His manipulation of the Oyashiman for his Sanoist cause drew concern among his allies, who questioned whether his ideals of class struggle could truly align with the samurai’s rigid code. Yet, Horenski’s power of persuasion was undeniable, and many of the Oyashiman warriors were drawn into his fold, fighting not for the Kingdom of Haenseti-Ruska but for a new world order—a world of radical egalitarianism under the banner of Sanoism.
CONTINUED THREAT
Though his exile might appear to have sealed his fate, Horenski remains a dangerous figure. His connection to the Oyashiman, a network still active in clandestine operations, ensures that his influence lingers in the margins of global politics. Sanoism, under Horenski’s stewardship, continues to be a covert ideological threat, one that could once again rise to challenge established powers should it find fertile ground in the right circumstances.
There are rumors that Horenski, though exiled, still sends coded messages to his former supporters. Aided by the samurai of Oyashiman lineage, these agents could emerge at any moment, reigniting his revolutionary mission.
The Oprichnina will continue to monitor all communications and any movements from Horenski or his subversive allies. His exile was intended to silence him, but the full extent of his impact on the world’s revolutionary movements may yet unfold.
