  2. A r c h a i - The Gravelords ި⸌⸝ᛍᛍ ⸍ˎᛍ⸍◟ᛁ⸜ᛁ ── ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ──𖤓── ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ── We are damned, there is no escape from our fate. At the end of our days, we shall fade into that hellscape and suffer an eternity of torment. Sorrows and Sacrilege ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔒𝔪𝔢𝔫 𝔏𝔬𝔯𝔡𝔰 𝔒𝔣 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔄𝔟𝔶𝔰𝔰 Archai are described as the final and most extreme outcome of necromantic progression. They are considered a new form of death, a construct of deliberate creation. The result of total and irreversible convergence with the Abyss. This is why Archai under the Abyssal Scourge are called Wraiths. Physicality Mentality Ө [Abyssal] The Archai are the final transcendence of necromantic mastery as beings whose tainted souls have become so intertwined with the abyss itself that their mortal forms cease to be, instead becoming replaced with physical representation of the abyss on the world that is. Their forms may wary from tangible shadows of their past selves to black smouldering skeletal beings. The Gravelord's physical prowess returns to the state they possessed before undertaking the path of necromancy. While their forms are no longer truly mortal, they retain the strength, agility, and endurance they once held in life. Archai may don heavy armor, wield martial weaponry and cast Necromantic spells. As an abyssal undead - Archai cannot be exhausted, suffocated, drowned, poisoned, nor require food or water. Ө [Walking Nexus] The ascension into an Archai marks the final severance between soul and mortality. Through mastery of necromancy and complete integration with the Abyss, the Gravelord's soul ceases to require an external vessel. Instead, their very being becomes a self-sustaining nexus of deathly power akin to a living phylactery. When an Archai suffers destruction of their physical form, true death does not claim them. They collapse into ruin as what remains is an Abyssal residue that clings to whoever defeated the Archai, then throughout [2] OOC days they reform until they are ready to detach from the unwilling host and manifest somewhere else in the world. Ө [Deathwoven] As creatures whose forms are sustained by abyssal energies Archai do not suffer injury as living beings or even some undead do. Mundane flames do not burn them. Only a vast quantity of aurum, special metals and deific magic may truly harm the Gravelord as stated in the durability section. Ө [Woe of Gold] Should Archai be struck by an aurum weapon of at least [2] or more ingots they would be stunned for [1] emote before rendering the aurum weapon inert for the rest of the combat. Ө [Woe of Light] As Gravelords, Archai receive [-1] to movement and cannot cast Necromancy spells with exception of their innate abilities while in the direct sunlight. This is determined by (/time) command between 7AM to 7PM. Ө [Grave Sight] The eyes of an Archai no longer perceive the world solely through mundane senses. Through their connection to the Abyss, they perceive the currents of life that flow through all things. Living beings appear as vessels of vitality, their lifeforce radiating from within like a faint flame against the darkness. The strength of this essence varies from creature to creature, allowing an Archai to distinguish between the hale, the wounded, and those nearing death. Archai may perceive lifeless creatures through blindsense-like ability from [12] metres This perception extends beyond, allowing Archai to perceive those invisible such as apparitions or illusions. Alchemical concoctions akin to flash potion won't work however Cleric / Templar blinding abilities such as fervent flare would blind the Archai for doubled duration. Redlines: Ө [Hollowing] The Archai retain memories, ambitions, and fragments of the personalities they once possessed in life though even those emotions grow distant each time they perish that even they eventually become only echoes that resound in the vastness of the abyss. Ө [Weight of the Eternity] Freed from the constraints of mortality, Archai perceive time differently from other beings. Years and decades may pass with little significance, causing them to develop immense patience and long-term plans. This perspective often makes them dismissive of fleeting mortal concerns, struggling to understand the urgency with which short lived races conduct their affairs. Ө [Immutable Will] The ascension into an Archai marks the complete sovereignty of the self. No longer bound by the vulnerabilities of a mortal soul, the Gravelord's essence is anchored entirely within its Abyssal Nexus, rendering it exceedingly difficult for outside forces to impose their will upon it. Attempts to dominate, compel, enthrall, or otherwise subvert an Archai's mind are met with fierce resistance. Their thoughts are their own, tempered through repeated death, rebirth Ө [Abyssal Affinity] Archai exist in a state of profound attunement to the Abyss. Their minds and essence are most stable in regions touched by decay, death, and abyssal corruption.Within such places, their thoughts remain clear and their presence feels natural, as though the world itself accepts them. However, in regions heavily suffused with divine or deific influence, this harmony is disrupted. While not immediately harmful, extended presence in these opposing forces of existence becomes increasingly intolerable, compelling the Archai to withdraw toward places more aligned with their nature. Redlines: Strike me down if it eases your conscience. Scatter my form across the earth. Cast my bones into the sea and my ashes into the wind. It matters little. The body you destroy is merely a shadow cast by something far greater. The First Gravelord ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ Durability Archai have a set durability system where they may endure [6 Minor] / [5 Major] / [4 Devastating] blows upon Head/Torso and [4 Minor] / [3 Major] / [2 Devastating] blows upon each of their Limbs, before the respective section of their vessel is destroyed. Damage is considered shared across the entire section of their body. Should the Torso or Head of an Archai be destroyed it is considered defeated - utilizing [Walking Nexus] trait. Whenever they choose to wear heavy armor they receive additional [1 Devastating] blows to their health pool for the Head/Torso. ❉ [Minor Blow] 𑁍 Projectiles (Shortbows, Hand Crossbows, Slings, Throwing Knives, Longbows, Crank Crossbows, Javelins, Aurum of 1 ingot) 𑁍 Mundane Blades / Bludgeons (Shortswords, Longswords, Hatchets, Glaives, Spears, Warhammers, Maces, Greatswords, Battleaxes, Aurum of 1 ingot) 𑁍 Diminutive Magics (Non-Concussive Voidal Spells, Heraldry Spells, Mysticism Spells) ❉ [Major Blow] 𑁍 Thannic, High-Density Boomsteel, & Carbarum Blades (Shortswords, Longswords, Hatchets, Glaives, Spears, Axes) 𑁍 Calamitous Gold and Holy Blade Weapons (Pure Aurum or Holy-Enchanted blades of 2 Ingots) 𑁍 Calamitous Magics (Non-Tangible Dragonsflame, Malflame, Tangible & Concussive Voidal Spells/Enchants, Necromantic Maledictions, Shamanism, Druidism, Clericism) ❉ [Devastating Blow] 𑁍 Devastating Projectiles (Ballistae, Trebutchets, Cannons) 𑁍 Thannic, High-Density Boomsteel, & Carbarum Bludgeons (Warhammers, Maces) 𑁍 Ruinous Gold and Holy Bludgeon Weapons (Pure Aurum or Holy-Enchanted of 3 or more Ingots) 𑁍 Ruinous Magics (Tangible Dragonsflame) Redlines: The fool curses the darkness because he believes it is an enemy. The wise fear it because they know it cannot be slain. Before the first flame was kindled, there was dark. Before the first breath was drawn, there was silence. The Black Doctrine ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ Abilities Ө [Harvest] [5] Emotes [Combative] Over [3] emotes Archai may darken their hand with their lifeforce then grapple onto a Lifeforce bearing target, revealing their true form to them. Target under the effects of Harvest would become stunned in painful fear as their essence would become sapped for full next [2] emotes. Should the sapping be successful the target would fall into stupor, their strength reduced by one in the strength bracket below until the end of the combative encounter. Regardless if the sapping was successful or not - the grappled body part would appear to unnaturally wither, this effect is purely visual save for the nightmares of Archai plaguing the target's dreams lasting [3] OOC days. [Olog Strength] → [Orc Strength] → [Human Strength] → [Voidal Strength] → [Voidstalker Strength] Redlines: Ө [Manifest] [2] Emotes [Non-Combative] Archai possess a degree of control over their physical manifestation. Through an act of will, they may reshape their abyssal vessel, altering their appearance as though molding clay. Over [2] emotes an Archai may freely alter its appearance, physique, facial features, and other cosmetic traits, provided it remains recognizably descendant in shape. Some Archai appear as shadowed reflections of their former selves, while others choose skeletal visages, yet these forms always closely resemble the darkness that sustains them. These alterations are entirely cosmetic and grant no mechanical advantage. Redlines: Ө [Exaltation] [4] Emotes [Non-Combative] Unlike the lesser Khôr blades forged by Darkstalkers, Gravelord’s Exalted Armament is bound directly to their abyssal essence, permanently tethering the weapon to its own existence. An Exalted Armament may be crafted by Archai by spending [1] count of liquid life-force or a living sacrifice and performing [4] emote freeform ritual of manifesting the armament from within themselves. Exalted weapon appear unnaturally dark akin to look more like a shadow of the metallic weapon shape it may resemble. The weapon’s origin is always easily recognisable and cannot be hidden. When striking flesh, Exalted armament inflicts Abyssal Wounds. These wounds do not clot naturally and fester with necrotic corruption, causing blackened tissue to spread around the injury over [1] OOC day. Mundane treatment cannot remove such afflictions, only deific healing, advanced alchemical remedies, necromantic cauterization, or equivalent magical treatment may properly cleanse them. Should the wound remain unhealed for [1] OOC week the limb would require amputation, while untreated torso/head wounds will result in death. Unlike ordinary Khôr blades, an Exalted weaponry never shatters so long as the Gravelord persists, the weapon may mend fractures, chips, and structural damage in a matter of seconds. Should a living being attempt to wield an Exalted armament, the weapon rejects them. Abyssal necrosis creeps across their flesh from the point of contact, accompanied by overwhelming weight and resistance, making meaningful use impossible. Should undead attempt to grab the Exalted weapon they would recoil from its connection to the Gravelord, instantly feeling as if the weapon itself is far too heavy for them to bear. Should Archai permanently perish, the Exaltation would vanish with them. Redlines: Ө [Divide] [2] Emotes [Combative] At any given time The Gravelord may call upon the bond between themselves and their Exalted Armament through [2] emotes, instantly recalling it to their grasp as it is a part of their being. If the Archai wields the Exalted armament they may plunge it throughout [2] emotes in front of them into the ground - manifesting a horizontal [3] metre length and [2] metre high barricade of abyssal energies that lasts for [1] emote. Archai cannot move whilst sustaining the Divide nor perform any other action whilst sustaining the ability. The Abyssal Barricade withstands any non-deific attack or spell. Barricade may withstand [1 Devastating] Deific attack spell before breaking. Redlines: Ө [Abyssal Domain] [3] Emotes [Combative] The Archai calls upon the Abyss to sever the immediate battlefield from the mortal world. Over the course of [3] emotes, the abyssal essence expands outward in a widening circle before collapsing into a sealed dome of oppressive darkness reaching [5x5x5], centered upon the Archai or a single designated target within [5] meters of it. Within this dome, any light and sound is heavily suppressed, reducing visibility to [1] metre, Dome itself cannot be dispelled and lasts for [3] emotes unless Archai wishes to end it. The Archai retains full perception within the Veil through Grave Sight. Anything is free to enter or leave the dome save for the target that Domain was cast upon - they may attempt to break through the barrier by hitting its border with [2] aurum hits or [1] active deific spell however they cannot break the portion of the barrier and leave it in the same emote. Should Archai or the chosen target leave the Domain, the ability ends. [Non-Combative] The Archai may impart a fragment of its abyssal essence into the world, creating an Echo through which it may commune with lesser beings without physically manifesting itself. Over [3] emotes, the Gravelord anchors a portion of its lifeforce within a chosen vessel, establishing a permanent point of communion. Such Echoes may manifest in countless forms: a distortion of abyssal ripples suspended in the air, a blackened mirror-like surface, a cluster of whispering shadows, or even a seemingly lifeless corpse that stirs only when approached. An Archai may maintain up to [2] Echoes at any given time. While focusing upon an Echo, the Archai projects its consciousness through it, allowing it to hear and speak from that location regardless of distance. During this communion, the Gravelord's awareness is transferred entirely into the Echo, rendering it unable to perceive its surroundings through sight. It may hear all sounds around the Echo and communicate through it freely, yet remains blind. Echo may be destroyed by any Deific cleansing spell. Redlines: Ө [Gravestride] [2] Emotes [Combative] Over [2] emotes Archai shifts into an abyssal mist that may travel to any corpse or undead within [10] meters with a speed of an arrow. If they remain on tainted terrain they may shift freely around it instead. Should there be any physical obstacle on the path during the shift, Archai would manifest in front of it. Redlines: Ө [Oblivion] [3] Emotes [Combative] Over the course of [3] emotes, the Archai extends an open palm and manifests a surge of abyssal hands which leap [8] metres in a straight line for medium or below armored targets and [6] for heavy armored, dragging the target right in front of the Gravelord and nullifying their ability to sprint for [1] turn. Olog and above creatures would instead be hamstrung for [1] turn without any dragging. [Non-Combative] The Archai may impart a fragment of Oblivion directly into a living soul. Over the course of [3] emotes, the Gravelord places its hand upon a willing, restrained, or otherwise helpless target and siphons away their emotions for themselves, this grants a feeling of euphoria for the Gravelord which quickly fades after the deed is done. The victim remains conscious and for the next [1] OOC day, they experience profound emotional detachment, finding it difficult to feel anything beyond muted echoes of their usual emotions. They retain their memories, personality, and reasoning, but react to events with an unnatural indifference as though separated from their own feelings. Alternatively Archai may bestow a false vision upon the victim that would feel indistinguishable from reality which memory of, would fade with each passing day, leaving the target with a deep sensation of uneasiness. Redlines: Ө [Obliterate] [2-6] Emotes [Combative] The Archai channels the crushing weight of the Abyss into a wielded armament, causing black residue and grasping shadows to coil around the item as reality itself strains beneath its presence. With each passing moment, the weapon grows heavier with the burden of Oblivion, carrying enough force to shatter bone, steel, and spirit alike. By spending consecutive emotes channeling Obliterate. For every emote spent charging the ability, the next successful melee strike increases in severity. Once the empowered strike is delivered and the gathered energy dissipates by [1] gathered stack. ❉ [2] Emotes (+1 Stack) 𑁍 The next melee attack is treated as [1] in Strength bracket higher. ❉ [3] Emotes (+1 Stack) 𑁍 The next melee attack gains additional stack. ❉ [5] Emotes (+1 Stack) 𑁍 The next melee attack gains additional stack and is treated as [2] in Strength bracket higher. ❉ [6+] Emotes [ET Event Only] 𑁍 The next melee attack is treated as that way above of an Olog with a speed and force of a rolling boulder. Using this ability uses all gathered stacks of Obliterate. [Voidstalker Strength] → [Voidal Strength] → [Human Strength] → [Orc Strength] → [Olog Strength] Redlines: To embrace the Abyss is not to reject life. it is to understand its place. A candle does not diminish the night. It merely reveals how vast the night truly is. Way of Primeval Man ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ True Death & Creation Ө [Coronation] [7] Emotes [5 Necromancers with 2 being T5 and possessing knowledge of all rituals] [Non-Combative] Coronation is the foundational rite through which an Archai is brought into existence from an Elder Necromancer, often leader of the coven. The ritual requires a coordinated circle of at least five necromancers, with at least one practitioner of Tier 5 Necromancer capable of Sundering acting as the core conduits of structural severance of the T5 Necromancer that is to become Archai, responsible for breaking down their fundamental boundaries between soul, body and the abyss throughout freeform ritual of no less than [7] emotes. Coronation is considered irreversible once completed. Should the ongoing ritual be interrupted the Necromancer which was about to ascend will soft PK and their body may be used again for the ritual after [1] OOC week. Should the body no longer be available - [2] living sacrifices may act as replacement. Redlines: Ө [Final Toll] [7] Emotes [2 Archai or 1 Archai + 2 [T5] Necromancers capable of Sundering] [Non-Combative] Severance rite used to bring an end to an Archai whose existence has become a danger to the agents of abyss. Over the course of [7] emote freeform ritual the congregation of the Archai and Necromancers may sunder the living soul nexus of another Archai that is attached to one who has vanquished them. Final Elevation [ET Handoff] - Once Archai has consumed the soul nexus of another Gravelord they are capable of ascending into an even greater being of the abyss, losing all connection to their past selves, becoming consumed and driven only by the endless hunger for life-force. Redlines:
  3. Changes are made in gold. [Necromancy] Goresmithing OLD: NEW: It makes little sense for 2 Necromancers to goresmith Sundering: OLD: NEW: Transcension OLD: NEW: I propose a lil alternative for the old necromancers around (If there are still any). So they may actually feel like an Arch-Lich. Contagion OLD: NEW: Contagion could do something usefull as a combative spell, even if it were used to hinder pursuers. [Darkstalker/Draugr Lore] Elevation: OLD: NEW: Instead of shadowruling at least please make the change on the page? If this ammendment does not pass it means Darkstalker/Draugrs can REALLY aid only tier 3 rituals.
  4. Sadly, this is not it either. But it's still better than the first proposed write.
  5. "Even i am not that evil to break every single window" A certain dwarf grumbled...
  6. I agree with you, sadly this is the direction green gang wanted necromancy to become. Hell, they turn every single dark magic/CA's into wimps. But i don't think we will be getting another Necromancy rewrite anytime soon. And with all this mentality of: Write it nerfed to the ground and maybe it will pass i guess our only way to approach this kind of thinking is by trying to slap band-aid's and pray it will at least be less bad.
  7. [Tɪᴇʀ V] Puppetry - [3 Emotes] [Combative] Through the weaving of abyssal powers expert necromancers may abandon their own freedom in order to impose boons upon the willing undead vessel. Their consciousness intertwines with those of the undead which is an extremely taxing feat even for the eldest dark mages. Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ: OOC Note: "Modern", "Hip" new necromancy was turned into "Support" magic with removal of any kind of npc's let alone letting any spell be without OOC consent... Blah blah... I propose a new spell for the Bolsterment section that necromancers could use to aid their Player CA minions for the cost of their own vulnerability, not to mention there are actually only 2 support spells for the whole support based magic.(I do not count revivify as a support spell for various reasons.)
  8. Ragthanatos when will you bestow your gift of dark magics upon me so i might do your dark bidding?
  9. He straight up cooked you @PolarLoLs I don't think you will be able to get back up from that.
  10. That already did happen 😣
  11. Thorim Blackheart surely began to draft a missive. "Any dwarf he says?"
  12. Just play Draugr/Darkstalker at this point. Seems more fun, flexible, playable and possibly stronger than this + you won't have to pull out rolex to see if you can play outside or not. Current necromancy is nothing more than a printer of better undead CA's for other people. If Ascended undead could lead the rituals no one would use this magic. Which shows based on the activity where almost every necromancer sits at lair doing only rituals becouse they can't really do anything else (I will point this issue has even more problems/sources) and this CA iteration will only ground the already catatonic state of dark magics. Instead of being a feared enemy it became a laughingstock and with how it's going here i doubt that would change.
  13. For ooc representation: Try puking whilist trying to swing a 5kg stick at someone
  14. Thorim is happy he is learning ritual of Sundering today.
  15. Lesser requirement for DS/DR/Ghoul while keeping higher count for Necromancers makes sense. +1
  16. Blackheart turns to the other side in his bed. He covers his head with a pillow hoping that this will muffle the constant noise his ghouls make.
  17. I agree with Kunuk and co. there. Musin are not actively hunted nor evil group so instead of waiting half a year for a denied lair app you can thrive as a nation's vassal. On the other note i think if there are enough musin perhaps make a nation app? It would be more likely to get trough the painful processes of lotc. I am with you guys by heart but i know how that will end by experience.
  18. The old dwed chuckled at the missive then sent one of the ghoul with a scribbled note to the young Felix "The Empra'h, really lacks an eye for the art" He then gazed outside the bell tower at yet another dumb brigade screaming and crawling under the Sepluchre's doorstep. This is not a shelter for the homeless why do they keep comming here? Does empire not care about the wellfare of its subjects? He pondered, then retired into his chamber. Perhaps his former teacher and his ghouls finally began to act on his mind.
  19. If we can't have asthetic zombie/skeleton horses nor should demons have demon horses. 🤗 Also if they are demons they should be affected by deific and aurum, dismounting the rider...
