  1. "Calling the arcane an Ibleesian magic is like calling alchemy knowledge from Hell. I was expecting our allies to be more wise in these matters, lest they imply they won the war with 'Ibleesian' assistance." Olga would speak as she read the missive in complete disappointment, signing the lorraine. As she signed the lorraine, a burgundy mirrage of her own arm followed the action with a delay of one second. She would sigh as that occured.

  6. "All of this bloodshed because a man refused to be recognized as 'the Impious' until the church resolved the grievances. Valah really are blessed with ambition, which often is a curse." Would comment a fennic elfess, seemingly understanding the nature of the conflict. "How many displaced and how many legacies torn asunder, over such an epithet? All preventable... or was it?" Thus the widespread missive was stowed in a bookshelf full of missives.
  7. "It is what it is, let it happen." hummed a mali'fenn from the distant lands of the south. "It did ne die today, but years ago, when weeds sprung in the garden."
  8. Some sunburnt fennic elvess was busy reading books about elmaehr'sae hiylun'ehya within the Silver City, having brought some books with her near the high balconies, the silhouette of the new ship, Larihei's Vengeance visible in the distance. She was lamenting at how many books there are regarding the philosophy and how much warmer the weather is in the south. . .
  9. A pale snow elvess takes ahold of the missive, after her likewise pale eyes read past few paragraphs she loses interest. Mahn'els and Council on each other's bad side? "Well well well, both sides two of the reasons why the Starland is the way it is today." The missive was ignited by blue flame, quickly fizzling what it washed over. "I lament for Aganar, for he is surrounded by this blight on all sides." The blue fire was patted away, the partially mangled missive handed to one of her recognized aviaries and sent forth, a signed name not necessary due to its distinct appearance indicating its owner. As light dimmed upon her quarters due to the quelled flame, the aviary flew a long distance over the torrential downpour that washed the south.
  10. Somewhere an elf was wandering with several lemon seeds of the lemon the Mother Church had gifted her. Not wanting to see the gift wither and not wanting to stow it on the Void for the sake of symbolism, she opted to plant them somewhere for a lemon tree to grow within her long lifespan. A prayer was muttered after and with great care she'd await until the next day for greenery to manifest upon the soil. Waking within a tent the next day, she'd gaze outside, happy to see the greenery had begun to grow. Alas she sat upon the Yisar after collecting the tent, riding to a new location with hope, leaving the growing lemon tree behind as a testament to new faith.

  12. Im relatively new a player having started just a year and a half ago. Ever since when I applied I implied magic upon it, which is why I was rejected and had to rewrite. My first persona was a mundane holy human and I had a good few months with that persona, which is alive still. But then I got the oppurtunity to fullfil what niche I liked myself on a 2nd persona and this was not pre planned or anything, that of being a mage. After following a series of events that make sense IRP and push the persona towards magic, I am able to find teachers due to family. Likewise to Mori's comment my persona developed overtime the thought regarding magic and different feats, one example is the frowning upon of voidstalkers after losing relatives that delved too much into it, then being affected by the eminent's refined control over it, following a philosophy that you should control, not be by the magic. I dont have any complaints, I havent solely focused on CRP with it, but rply did follow the combat path of eminence after being attacked several times during the lessons. I have been lucky with this persona and I have liked how RP has gone with such, voidal magic being utilized for all sorts of random things, mental effects roleplayed and disdain for other paths visible. I would say I have RP'd well considering I was a newbie when I first learnt. Then comes my second voidal persona, which admitely I wasnt too sure about, but the mage niche tickles my brain. On this one I had no such family ties as the first one or even lived in communities with magic. Being a complete stranger makes seeking magic so hard, unlike how most people have the sentiment that its easy. It could be easy sure for people that play long enough to have ties everywhere as it is indeed quite widespread. This persona was pretty much a homeless wanderer, that had the oppurtunity to pick up translocation. Why did the persona do such? For the ability to stow things to the voidal pocket. Lacking a home and shelter and even a mount (yes I rp'd like that the first years) takes a big limit on what you can carry, granted people rarely RP this and I dont blame them. Thing is after a while voidal sickness set in and now the persona was on a crossroad, either abandon magic and its boon or make it worth, a mage with just translocation is very much inexistant anyway. So I rp'd it as a path of seeking scionism to return the strength of the past before the sickness. Alas in the future I might change such. Overall I really like the void, Im a voidcel. Its undeniably more fun than being a mundane char, gives you mental effects to influence your roleplay, is not frowned upon like Dark Magics and Deifics (not speaking of Templars, which are great too imo but havent tried) are. I can see its widespread, but who am I to ask it is more limited? People like me wouldnt get to experience the niche if it was gatekept to me, being a white-tag and all. On a note I do want to add this: Admitely seeking magic has been HARD and one thing it OOC affects me with is the more I know the less inclined Im to PK. Doing all that work finding eager teachers for MAs to PK without achieving much would be a bummer and I hope you can understand why. Just writing of my experience
  13. The esteemed steed of the burgher Regina, Cupcake, was of 33 years of age, one of the few main horses of the now century old ex-stablemaster, after the war. Despite the jest and perhaps older age paired with trauma from the old war of the woman whose armour alone was 70 years old might have led to the horse's nomination, Regina still appreciated that her trusty steed on its elder years achieved knighthood by the new Duke as his first action. Part of her feels at peace, having grown an entire century working with the horses of the steppe and their descedants she had always appreciated the trust a horse places on its rider, a bond ancient and holy. Though on the other hand she pondered: Maybe Cupcake will be her last steed, as both rider and horse, were in their elder years, or maybe not, should Godan wish otherwise. Regardless a new chapter for Adria had arose with the youthful Duke Mateusz Sarkozic at the helm!
  14. Uriella that happened to be manning the gate for the elf and human rubbed her purple eyes at the sight of the gate refusing her lever's order. "Definetly a ghost...."
  15. Uriella had been idling nearby as she saw her father Raziel whom was exclaiming with disdain over warlocks. At the mention of a warlock she had slain, she revealed a severed horn from the voidal pocket, one she had seized from an accursed warlock. "They keep returning... some slain once, some tens of times. But now they grow wiser, knowing they can't defeat our resolve, they pretend to be of our ilk to the eyes of other realms, in an attempt to turn the righteous against the righteous." She spoke perhaps in a monologue meant to be heard by her father Raziel, as she gazed at the severed horn of one of many.
  16. Sitting on her desk with a bottle of alchohol most exotic, her oddly gregarious parrot slips in the missive right on the desk with a THUD with its beak, as if it demanded a reward for such. "MISSIVE! MISSIVE!!" yelled the parrot. "MISSIVE LETTER!! MISSIVE LETTER!" It continued. Uriella then took the missive and tossed her parrot some spare seeds, spare from some snacks after an accompanied fishing trip she had the other day. "Here, shut up now." She commanded her parrot. Yet it yelled again in revolt. "SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!!" It only stopped when the orange cat hissed at it, being near the parrot, next to the idle yisar besides the elvess It was yet another day in a people-empty home, inhabited by the most random of pets. As the perhaps surrounded yet lonely Uriella reads the missive, she takes a turn on her bottle of... rum. "Lady Ivria Inkwell... have ne heard of such a name before." The noble elvess then read further down the missive, from the mentions to the ruin to the... gossip, skipping completely over the advert section, having a special disdain for adverts. "Oh... so they were together. Ha" she comments over the section regarding the betrothal. "Ouch!" She reads over the second gossip regarding the returned husband. "I understand you... I definetly understand you. I just turned 60..." She commented on the paragraph regarding the lonely prince, looking around at her empty home briefly then swinging the bottle of rum again. Then she turns to the sections regarding trends and fashion. "SEE? Even the chronicles deem your hair ORANGE Ciradyl. Tsk tsk tsk... wait. Since when was being a blonde mali'aheral rare? My entire lineage is blonde. Im the only outlier." Commented the red-haired Amethil, the only one. "Leather is shic...? Hmm... I do ne feel it. I prefer my silk. Whoever this Inkwell person is, perhaps an alibi, you could say she inks this paper very well. Finally a read that is ne boring politics!" as she mentioned the word politics, her politician of a parrot turned her way, perhaps to berrate her of her studies years ago repeated. Uriella looked at the word 'Gossip' and then looked at her talkative parrot, double thinking something. It definetly is a mistake to study and speak near a parrot that wise...
  17. "I will never forget the case of kha trying to consort with descedants. Its truly an absurd sight I wish I never saw or heard of." would comment an elvess. "For stars sake, its a talking cat!"
  18. A high elf, Uriella, was reading a missive regarding Celia'nor's 'ker village of Darad Kezyah the other day, she then pondered. "They truly are becoming mythical... ever since the abandonment of their own settlement. Hope they gather together someday and bring their culture and kin into a renaissance." She placed yet another dark elf related missive in her bookshelf, double thinking of adding it in the fictive category or dedicate another shelf on it. Such were the times.
  19. From deep within her comatose state when one reads the missive outloud next to her, Uriella's able to hear it. Really? That happened? And they decided to throw in that I was drunk? Whatever was it I definetly wasnt drunk, it must have been that blister I felt on my ankle when doing a herb run. She spoke to herself in limbo, unable to make true word in reality or even remembering the situation fully.
  20. "Is that Ibarellan found yet..?" Asked Uriella.
  21. "The fact they'd kidnap someone and stow them in church grounds is already heretical, I would ne be suprised if they burnt their own church to fabricate a reason if their own dogma they dont follow. As they say, God watches." Said Uriella upon reading the unexpected missive.
  22. "While this is a valid demand as they have proven troublesome, didnt Raguel himself proclaim that cursed children were not to be presecute-" paused Uriella from the self monologue upon the words of her crafty father. "Uhh... sure?" She departed outside after.
  23. "Expel the foreigner, revere the empress!" Said an aheral upon reading yet another missive of foreigners trying to criticize the affairs of the nation.
  24. I don't like the idea of having to PK over player interactions even if it somehow is a public execution though I would consider PK-ing way more over that. But once you invest 1 year with 1 char, struggle to find MA's and achieve FA's and earn TA's for things that feel rather gatekept, would you be prone to PK with ease? Personally I wouldnt and its a gigantic factor. Chars with less applications Im way more prone to PK, but definetly not over bad faith banditry or fighting a player whose char is essentialy 'Doombringer, Devourer of Worlds, Harbringer of Chaos.' I have had a lot of crp interactions but rarely has any of my chars died, in fact only happened twice. My first char was bandited and killed to be 'eaten' in 2 emotes a year ago a week after I started and my second char was trapped in a building with 5 people to be killed and 'eaten' yet again 1 week after I created them. Of course I didn't PK over that. Its also the fact that crp banditry/darkspawn raids or whatnot is like 4-6 people fighting one with a very poor goal like 'eating you' which guarants that you'll die 100%. Nope, not PK-ing to that.
