[!] A missive would be spread across the entirety of Azuras, save for the lands of the Horde and Urguan.
The first page featured a retelling of events, the second a Royal decree.
In the year of our Lord 270 SA, the High Kingdom of Idunia called upon the Righteous to gather within its marble halls. From across the continent, many gathered in representation of their groups, to discuss the matter of dark prophecies and divine providence.
Templars and like-minded adventurers, knights and warriors were welcomed in their participation by Prince Adûnakhôr Arthalion, representing his Royal Majesty the Tar and the High Kingdom in this matter.
Among them, a spy of the malignant, the foul darkspawn of our world, sought to infiltrate this summons of the righteous and holy. It was through one of the attending Paladins of Cauróst that their true nature was revealed, and they were taken in by Idunian guards, questioned and later executed for their servitude to evil incarnate.
Alas, this was not the only evil that sought to disrupt the High Kingdom and its many allies that day. Some time into the discussions on the matter, a sudden darkness, a concentrated wickedness, instilled with negative emotions dimmed the hall. Most light was lost as it washed over the Palace, candles robbed of their flame, and even the Patron-Aengul Malchediael’s blessing faltering in its presence.
An ill will clung onto the minds of those gathered, as even among the Templars - ones usually wholly immune to such malediction - some were misguided by the sudden burst of emotions, amplified and corrupted by the invading force. Swords were drawn and allies nearly turned on one another, as all seemed to fall apart before it had truly even begun. Yet, in that moment of hopelessness and despair, it was the Patron-Aengul’s flame, manifested by the Prince’s courage, which washed away the light, returning clarity to those gathered.
And though it was weakened by that lingering presence, once channeled through a lightstone - a resource lost with the lands of Aevos - it wholly overpowered and vanquished the shadow which loomed over Minas Aradar.

The roundtable meeting continued, different matters made clear and information exchanged. One of those attending alleged himself to have been a Cleric of Tahariae in days long past, and claimed that, without a doubt, it had been his former patron who granted this vision.
The Paladins of Cauróst in attendance revealed that they had discovered a strange obelisk of sorts within distant parts of Azuras, a force suspected to be linked to the Aengul’s vision. A decision was made that of the ones gathered within the palace, ten would depart to scout out the site, and to confirm suspicions.
Hidden away in a rather nondescript cave, just large enough to fit most of the ten who had set out on the exploration, the obelisk revealed itself. A vile force so great, so oppressive that all within could feel something to be wrong as even their blessings faltered, radiated from that structure.
Dark tremors whispered ill forebodings as it became less bearable to remain with each passing second. The call to retreat was made, as it was decided that attempting to destroy it was too great of a risk - the possibility of not just death, but also releasing the evil trapped within.
Yet, before the last left the cave, they identified what appeared to be a person within - one they thought to be Reikenor, a name from a vision not shared before, a name later whispered by that same voice.
The expedition would have ended there, if not for a group of Samurai hailing from the Shugonate arriving by the cave just then. Three men, each willing to risk their life, stepped into the lion’s den, unafraid of losing their lives. Though what exactly occurred within remained unknown, it was explained to have been a failed attempt at destroying it, the three barely escaping with their lives before collapsing on the spot, one cursed beyond even a shaman’s capabilities to heal.
Quickly they rode back to familiar lands then, the Samurai treated in the Princedom of Cauróst.
As of the publication of this missive, little seems to have changed about the cave itself. The monolith still sits within, and whether worshippers of ruin have found it too remains unknown.
Thus, the High Kingdom declares:
None shall get too close to the hidden obelisk, as remaining within its presence alone causes one’s mind and body to be corrupted.
Frequent patrols are to be take place within the area, to immediately report changes in the region, so that they may be shared with our allies
Anyone seen or heard interacting with that Obelisk are to be reported to the Crown, so that their foolishness or treachery may be made known
A second summons for a Roundtable of the Righteous is to be called upon information of great importance or changes within the region or continent being found out
The High Kingdom of Idunia asks its allies to assist in this matter, that we may thrive in cooperation during an age where darkspawn think us vulnerable.
