  2. She didn't deserve this. Nobody deserved this. On entering Iryalen and hearing the news of death, her mind spins with the shock. Was it her Guide? Someone else? There's trepidation in the wake of everything as the toll of a lost soul shakes the very Song they're attuned to. She never hears it, or feels it. Her eyes instead are the ones to bear witness. It dizzies when she discovers who. How. No why's given, other than the warning to trust nobody. Her heart hurts, and grief finds her swiftly and deeply. Still, her resolve steels, for there is work to be done. It sharpens, when the Prince shows up to their gates. Leverages and accusations of fault to those who lost the most by a man who didn't even own the land he laid fresh claim but half an Elven day prior. She holds her head up, arm set to the shoulder of a friend in comfort. It focuses, clamps down on preconceived names. A selection that has plagued her home for years. Draoi. Draoi did this. And somehow, the safest place everyone knew had been breached. It points, like the tip of a spear. A single dedicant, with a newly grown bite to her fangs. Gathering the wills of Druii who all alike bid for the same thing in anguish: Retribution. "Maybe it is a warning or advice? That the path you are following will lead to some violent parts, and if you follow it blindly, you will come back to the point you started?" "And yet you stepped up to the responsibility, and perform it admirably." "And that is why I advise you to take time to examine your own heart and soul... ..But you cannot tell your heart to stop loving so easily, can you?"

  5. 10 pages of people expressing frustration is fine. we saw you deleting navigators post accurately calling out that making a meme title about a very serious matter as an admin who's actions and justifications after months of absence are in question, is what most people would rightfully consider genuine feedback in response to such a post. if peoples response is to criticise his choice even if partly by meme, then that should be the evidence you need to see where the players sit on this topic. removing them doesn't help you unless they're actually offensive. of course this blew up. when an admin goes absent and the first thing they say is "we're removing the very moderators doing their work and adding new ones in their stead, live with it," of course there will be an outcry. if you dont like that people are rightfully upset, that might be a good sign to like.. idk. evaluate the situation once the initial outrage dies down?
  6. removing members of the team doing their work is wild shit
  7. Recently made an Anorum weapon so the changes are actually pretty interesting, a couple details however: 1. Changing the property from ferrum to steel, would that not change the melting point as well for working with it? If so, you may need to amend that redline too 2. Possibly change it that salt is to be added whilst the material is being smelted to allow for proper distribution for those seeking less opaque options, requiring thorough distribution of salt to the crystalline composition of Anorum (for RP flavour) 3. Id hope the answer is no but seeing how simple of a material it is, for my vweapon I added kuila to it - I'm assuming you're thinking the use of mundane salt and nothing that would necessarily counteract other materials that are embedded or inlaid? Otherwise, +1
  8. CT admin for smol... wait

  9. Crazy to read this right after finishing my run for the day last night. I did a 3/4 full run, having missed three regions of the map but doing a combo mining+herb run. With access to only three nation mines, only two of which hold Neth or Iron, I tend to rely more or less entirely on wild nodes for my supply and tend to blend both into a single route if I'm playing solo. A combined run can take 3-4 hours. A mining-only run can easily take 2 hours if I'm not completely locked in and am collecting every ore along the way that I currently have mapped. It doesn't even get me a full kill and this doesn't include the leather cost. As Prim said, there's also the fact that as nation mines got rolled out, there's now less and less wild nodes to work with as the resources are pulled away and relocated into locked mines, as evidenced by empty node rocks. Don't get me started on the fact that Iryalen had NO ORES WHATSOEVER for the first two months of the map - we had rocks, we had gaps in walls, but not a single piece of the ores meant to be on the tiles. That's two months of materials lost because they straight up weren't implemented until we got a pasted mine, and that only happened because I pointed it out and it got ticketed to the tech team. We've also tried to determine the patterns of node placements. Across the map I've noticed about three areas where terracotta remains on the terrain where there was likely a node planned, then removed in favour of something else or abandoned during placements. On top of this, we've also tried to determine - are nods placed in groups of three? Groups of four? It seems as though the majority of herb nodes are done in sets of four, while others are in sets of three depending on what they are (for example, amberiddle has 16, two sets of 8, beardweed has 8, but drakestail has two sets of three). But some herbs seemingly break that rule altogether, so it becomes a guessing game of whether or not a mistake was made or if it's an intended feature to limit the herbs. Or perhaps a miscommunication somewhere. Who knows? I hit every accessible iron+neth node I am aware of on the map, but if one run barely gives a kit, and seeing as roleplay tends to take priority over farming, it's hard to build up mats. It's not realistic to expect someone to take 2+ hours of their day grinding that could be spent on roleplay to not even get a full kit, and there's the very real fact of course that not everyone has access to every mine to boost the total gains. Add the risk of roving farming groups or bandits, and it sets the scale of risk/reward off kilter. I wouldn't mind if there were more uses for some of the ores but priority goes to neth+iron, and those are few and far between in the wild.
  10. Lowering the costs doesn't just lower it for smaller nations but for larger ones with the capacity to likely survive most wars, and certainly aren't getting scratched up by raids in the same way either. That's why defenders don't pay, cos smaller nations are likely to BE the defenders, and Also big agree that lairs stand to lose the most if there are WCs against them, especially when I hear consistently of struggles from villain players about the wait for upgrades, how weak some are when others are too strong to ever truly kill. There's no way of fixing constant raids against them and unless staff help them make truly hidden lairs or ways to not be taken down so simply by chaining attacks, much as the RP may support it, they get dealt a bad hand of being that high school kid who's parents keep forcing them to move schools so they never settle down. I can't imagine it's fun. They also get the worst hand in terms of being heavily CRP/RP based while facing PvP attacks

  16. didnt you know? any valid criticisms or advice from a post asking for player feedback only deserve the lowest form of badly attempted ragebait
  17. too many meme responses but as usual heres my 2 pence: 1. no core player races should be allowed to decide to just wipe out another core player race. theres no talk on "if EoM conquers the world" because by that point the server, the staff, and everyone in ST has determined without asking any other core races properly that total domination for one playerbase is fine and acceptable at the expense of everyone else's desired roleplay. isnt this meant to be a fantasy game? infinite vassals doesnt sound fun either. you throw out the whole four-brothers thing that is meant to be unique-ish for the server too. by all means, you want to remove the other player bases entirely for homogenous christian roleplay? do it. but folks likely won't roll with it. 2. concepts like genocide rp should realistically not be relied on as core driving points for conflict because while villain players make the concious decision to play something evil, reading an extermination call for 2 CA races with a playerbase of <20 people is insane and the fact it gets a pass for the sake of roleplay is questionable at best when you have people complaining in OOC chat how the word "genocide" implicates people too harshly out of character 3. i support the idea that any NL can at any point become evil in any way they decide within the guardrails of the rules, because the point isn't whether they should, its if they can and want to. if ST want to offer that then they can. feels like a silly question. if hadrian becomes the next god of undeath or whatever, more power to him, it'll be interesting 4. i dont think this means ST has to forcibly step in and "create" a nation just to fell the EoM or its armies, it feels like a cop-out to ignore the actual present problem. the biggest issue and reason why half the non EoM players have given up or are struggling is because the entire ordeal is exhausting so slowly the smaller nations are chipping away and losing players or are currently focusing on human personas as their mains. as a realm, by way of size, the playerbase gets away with what is basically narraative-granted powergaming by way of naturally having the largest playerbase and also one of the most active in tandem. there's no way to fix this because this is based on population and /realms activity interest > purely roleplay intent. feel free to correct me but it IS the largest player base, and its a massive benefit when you have a known pvp population versus CRP/RP heavy groups
