  1. Agh, those dreadful and elitist High Elves, who don't let anyone into their city! Except for Wood Elves who live in Lin'ame. Or Dark Elves who live in Ker'lomi. Or the last few remaining Kha. Or Human officials and the like from Oren. It just makes my blood boil that they won't let in any Dwarves just because they are at war, or any Orcs just because they are bloodthirsty brutes! Let's also not forget that they don't let in any Snow Elves, just because they made themselves the political enemies of Haelun'or and are allied with the dwarves! I mean, come on! Obviously if you want roleplay on this server, you have to let in every madman, murderer and monster to stimulate healthy and productive interaction! This is a terrible injustice and I am calling upon the staff to intervene by turning all of their walls into TNT and setting it off. If I can't interact with the elves, then no one can!
  2. The elves shall resist all attempts by the staff to 'help them out' over other races. We've got this.

I only wish it could look more... like a stone fortress. If only there was a city like that...

  9. Patrons and Aspects are aenguls/daemons (though this is not known in RP), so all of the things you suggest are equivalent.
  10. Yes. But some people are either not aware of this or willfully ingore this fact.
  11. The Lore Team has many times discovered that players, when seeking approval for a piece of lore, shall 'shop' lore masters. A player shall present the lore to one LM, and if it is denied then send it to another LM in hopes of a different result. We are more than aware of when people attempt this. Due to the numeracy and persistence of people attempting this, we have resolved to clarify that no single lore master can give approval for a piece of lore independently. Only a discussion and vote amongst the members of the LT shall affirm approval. That is to say: all instances of the phrase "Lore Master Approval" in this thread should read "Lore Team Approval". For example, if you do not know if your lore violates the mechanical standard, you should contact the entire lore team rather than a single lore master. If, by chance, you are a player which has shopped lore masters before and somehow gotten away with it, you are advised to seek approval from the Lore Team as a whole. This is not so much a matter of doing the right thing as it is doing the smart thing. Depending on when you were successful, it is likely that the lore master you squeezed approval from is no longer part of the team and so there is no one to vouch for you. Or, if the lore master in question is still part of the team, it is possible that he may not remember having accepted it, since it was never put down in writing. If you think there is only one person on the lore team who can vouch that they accepted your lore, you are vulnerable to both of those scenarios above.
  12. There is simply no use in pressing this further. The Lore Team has already shared its stance on this. I fully accept the "A Wizard Did It" trope in this case. There is no reason to explain anything here, and it is more valuable for time to be spent writing lore that people will actually get the chance to experience rather than mulling over the movements of cells and genes. Make fun lore.
  13. Who is to say there is any biology to explain to begin with? Why do we presuppose the existence of sperm, eggs, genes even, in this fantasy world? Moreover, what exaclty does it mean for a magical curse to affect someone biologically?
  14. This is the stance of the Lore Team. Iblees cursed the mortals with magic, not genetic modification.

  16. What many have tried and failed to do. I bid thee good luck. Here, have a skin I made a while ago:
  17. ((Copied from Lago, creator of Thanhic Ore lore: [12:33:59 PM] Lago: A thanhic sword would suck the heat out of the air in the same way a fridge does, too slowly for combat use. The handler's hands would start to cool until they started to get frostbitten with prolonged use though. They'd also slowly go insane. [1:20:27 PM] Lago: That being said, frost would form on the sword, and I suppose if you stuck it in cold water the water would begin to freeze around it. [1:20:35 PM] Lago: So you could make an unmelting popsicle sword... [1:20:56 PM] Lago: Coldsteel basically stays subzero and water freezes on it. You seem to be aware of its other properties, just to inform you.))
  18. lore for the lore gods

  19. Can you explain to me what the essential wrongness is of merely declaring that one's eyes naturally adjust to the darkness? And, as Dark Elves spend more time underground, one could conceive of their eyes adjusting to the darkness faster than those who do not?
  20. In light of what Gaius has indicated I have opted to have my thread removed. No, I'm not being ordered to by staff etc etc - it is my own choice.

I think the last status I responded to was removed. However, if there's anything that needs to be discussed about the thread I made, feel free to contact me.

Yes, I am unaware of who removed the last status. One point I must make because I have assumptions made about me is that I am not "OOC offended". I have no horse in this race so to speak.
