Nice concept though, I have a feeling you guys said the same thing about the end of 2.0, and 3.0.

It is a cool idea, but you know how people are lol XD. Some people would be saying "WTF?" and others would just pretend it never happened. Some people would go along with it, but not everyone. I like it though :) Maybe, a thread could be made, where players sign up to permadeath, and the handful of players would die instead?

2.0 was not intended to be deleted. It's likely we'd have just recently moves to 3.0 if the Asulon world save didn't get noped.
