Probably the easiest way to do it would be a "space colonists settle on a foreign world" setup. That way you can build fancy spaceships but you don't need to worry too much about making the map outer-spacey.

I think the wilds spawn a lot more mobs, namely slimes. I work on an island far away, and they basically own the island right now. Stupid slimes...

Most of them were considered as ways just to get your post count up, but there's no actual rule against them.
