Departure of the Maheral 2nd of the First Seed 1651 Haelun’or, you were once a jewel of the land, a bastion of law, order and progress. People looked to us with disdain not because of the crimes we had committed against the outside world, but because we had achieved what they could only dream of. In times past we showed the world what it could become, how to govern, how to live, how to serve as a state of the best of what the world had to offer. This was the time of Asulon and the time after, when those who had originally found our ways within the Eternal college of Elcihi’thilln still ruled amongst us. I tried to teach this Asulonian way of life, a way that came before the corruption of Kalenz, before the infighting, before the countless coups, before our path lost meaning and we as a people were cursed by gold. I have given many lessons, informed both council and citizenry of how they ought to conduct themselves, in both their daily lives, and when times get hard. However, despite learning our ways, knowing right from wrong, but a few have taken it to heart. Haelun’or has been cursed with slothfulness, when maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is tested by disagreements, by politics, by personal ambition, it is cast aside for the easier path. Instead of rising to the challenge of morals, customs, and the common good, these things are ignored or questioned with vague arguments in the hopes that they will be ignored and forgotten. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is not a set of rules one must simply follow, it is a culture, a way of life, and as all other cultures it has norms, unwritten rules, things that simply are. But these norms, these customs, these ways, they are lost upon Haelun’or. This nation has forgotten what it once was, and what it was meant to be, none but a few still truly know our ways, to the point where they do not need constant confirmation that their every action is pure and right. Even our council, are but fumbling in the dark, trying to teach a path they time and time again have failed to follow themselves. Cenwall, our honored Sohaer, seems to be fighting a losing battle with his ever inflating ego, and now finally he and the rest of the council have seen fit to lift the banishment of a psychopathic murderer, that both Maheralan had deemed impure. This has served as the final drop, in a goblet overflowing from a lifetime of shortcomings. My kin, my council, I urge you to consider this. Why do you think that our Elders are departing, why do you think they cannot stand to look upon what you have become. This nation has come to a state in its being, where the only thing it has to show for the superiority of it people, and its past is arrogance. An ever growing ego, with no base other than the self righteousness of those who carry it forward. I urge you my kin, shape up, alter this path, built up a reason for our superiority once more, and work to show that we are the beacons of progress. With this my time has come to depart this nation, I go to join our Elders in the far reaches where they may reside. As the first of the Maheralan, it falls upon me to name someone to take my place, I name the first amongst us, the original holder of the title. The time for Larihei to hold the title of Maheral has come again, may she keep it safe until someone suited for the position arise once more, to lead us down her path once again.

“Since when did the Mali’thill need to imitate the valah in stroking their own egos with their millions of meaningless titles, bastion of purity, redeemer of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Cenwall you are lucky you haven’t been named impure of mind yet, don't flatter yourself too much.” Athedil complained to himself as he enjoyed a cup of tea on his balcony.
-
"At one point in time the outside world blames us for not doing anything about the spooks living in our city, then when we start rooting them out and banish a known murderer they blame us for that as well." Athedil shook his head hopelessly, "Lessers, their idiocy has no end it seems… Though I will give them that our council, and people in general still need a good bit of cleaning out, we have puppeteers, degenerates, and worse yet; politicians.” The Maheral mumbled to himself, as he sat on his balcony enjoying the sunset with a hot cup of tea.
-
“You admitted to knowingly killing her in my presence Varen, and informed me that you furthermore felt no regret about it. Like it or not you are mali’ata, worth less than dirt.” Athedil simply shook his head at the entire situation, before departing towards his home.
-
By order of Maheral Athedil Acal’elor, the individual known to us as Varen’thal Ilmoriel is henceforth deemed impure. He has broken our most sacred of laws, he killed a mali’thill, his fellow councilor Genevieve, and has now finally admitted that he did so knowingly, and that he furthermore did not regret his actions. This man is not fit to sit on our council, he is not fit to walk amongst us, he is mali’ata, an individual lower than even the mix-breed and the warmonger. In an effort to ensure peace and order within our Silver City, I therefore call for his banishment and excommunication. Let no mali’thill speak to him, let no mali’thill trust him, let no mali’thill suffer his presence, for he has lost Larihei’s guidance and is no longer worth our time.

Up in the Haelun’or winery, the Maheral equipped his mask, taking a moment to adjust it while admiring himself in the mirror. “I certainly hope people are ready for the ball, only a single elven hour left before it all gets started.”
-
For the first time in about a week Athedil made his way down from the winery, after finding the letter in his mailbox. He made his way to the city square, in the hopes of finding a crowd that would listen. “Tragedy has struck our city, lessers invaded and dealt a blow to our people. When life returned to Haelun’or, we wished for changed times, a step back towards the times of Asulon and the view on maehr’sae hiylun’ehya that lead our people to greatness. We wished to be able to live side by side with lessers, to interact with them for the betterment of all. But it seems times are hard to change, even for those who wished to see it happen. In the time since Haelun’or’s revival, we have killed mali’thill in pits of acid, a crime never before committed by our council. We have named lessers who openly mocked purity to the position of tilruir, allowing them to taint our city from within. We have invited the chaos of those below us into the city, but taking part in their schemes and provoking them to attack. This is not our way, the lessers have shown time and time again that all but a few of them are unfit to be in our presence, they should be left to themselves to rot in the chaos of their own making. Let Haelun'or stand above the chaos, as the enduring bastion of science, order and purity it was always meant to be. Let the chaos of the lessers be their own, within our walls of silver only maehr'sae hiylun'ehya should reign, this was the wish of Larihei.

Haelun'or Winery “Now that the city has been rebuilt, and is coming back to life we are proud to present the Haelun’or Winery. Primarily a producer of wines for the city’s own consumption, to cater to the finer needs of the mali’thill.” Grape varieties: Valmuel’feta (Cold purple) - A deep purple grape, best known for its rich taste and distinct color. Valmuel’feta is mainly grown in colder mountainous terrain, preferring a harsher and thus relatively unchallenged environment to grow. It is an early grape, adapted to be fully grown before winter cold may set in. It is best doing temperate years, where the winter cold has left early, giving the grape a head start in maturing. Len’tuveh (Soft song) - A clear green grape, generally known for its light and soft taste. Len’tuveh is a hard grape to grow, requiring a rich and fertile soil if not to produce small and sour grapes unsuitable to high class wines. The grape matures late during the summer, which only grows the longer you leave it on the vines. It prefers long summers, leaving it to sweeten for the longest possible period of time. Wines: Ambers: Akal’suikaonn (Golden sweet): A sweet golden/amber wine, perfect for desserts or leisurely consumption. The wine is produced from the Len’tuveh grape, aged in jungle wood barrels to ensure a well rounded and soft finish to the wine’s taste. Reds: Haelun’or miruel (Haelun’or red): A deep purple wine with a strong taste, best suited to be enjoyed alone or with roasted foods or rich meats. The wine is produced from the Valmuel’feta grape, aged in dark oak barrels to add to its rich taste. Indorir miruel (Scholar red): A pale ruby colored wine, special for the fact that it is alcohol free, making it excellent for consumption during scholarly work. The wine is made from the Valmuel’feta grape, aged in regular oak barrels to best retain the rich taste of the grape after the removal of the alcohol. Whites: Haelun’or ibar (Haelun’or white): A soft white wine of a pale yellow color, perfect for spicy cuisine, fish, and chicken. The wine is produced from the Len’tuveh grape, aged in birch barrels to added to the softness of the wine. Maheral’s reserve: A white wine of a deep yellow color, the pride of the Haelun’or winery, if you have access to this wine you know how to drink it and what is suits best. To avoid rivals attempting to copy the wine, all information shall remain with the head vintner of the winery.

~* The Shepherd's Calling / Celestial Familiar Application *~
Talias replied to Stag's topic in Axios Roleplay Archive
Iatrilemar Elervathar, I am honoured that your would accept me as a caretaker of a celestial, however, I have been forced to depart Haelun'or for an unknown period of time, and will thus be unable to properly administer the duty of looking after one of these beautiful creatures. I hope that you will understand, and that I am deeply saddened for the added administrative work I may have placed upon your shoulders. Athedil Haler'thilln- 13 replies

"Ralnor, you have proven yourself useful over the the last elven weeks. Eventhough you may lack experience, I have no doubt that you will grow to fill the task of Okarir'maehr. I wish you the best, and hope that you will stay true to Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya."
-
Athedil stood with his hands gathered on his lower back, as he listened to Erendriel as he speaking. A brow raised, as the topic that was to be spoken of was made clear. "You speak words of truth Erendriel, but to blame the council for all our hardships would hardly be righteous. They are but three, two of which only recently ascended to their position. Surely you cannot blame them for straining under the burden suddenly left by Erinali’s death, and the departure of Icarus. Take a moment to consider things from their side.” He walked to the front of those who had gathered to listen, so he might speak to them all. I blame not Erendriel nor anyone else for the anger and frustration so many of us carry these days, I feel it as much as the rest of you, but I ask you, urge you even, to not raise a whip to the backs of our okariran when things go poorly, seek to understand and instead aid and support them to get our nation back on its feet. They are but Mali, just like any of us, when burdens weighs heavy on them they too might fall to despair and hopelessness, much like the citizenry. It is in these times they need our aid, so don’t complain, ask yourselves 'how I might helpful in overcoming the stagnate existence that has overtaken Haelun’or.' Perhaps it is time to fill the council, to spread the burden of leadership on the strength of more than three. The council cannot do this for us, this task falls on us all, to take a moment to consider if we could aid in carrying the wright of leading our people, and if you believe yourselves able, to rise and let your voices be heard, and in time perhaps chosen as an okarir. I know the prospect of leading might be frightening to many, the fear of failing is great, but see it as an experiment, our research is trial and error, rarely do we get it right at first, but we learn from our mistakes and try again."

Quick question from the scrub, is there an easy way to convert this into a single player map? So you won't have to set up a server to access it.

We Open Governments — The Truth Emerges
Talias replied to Supremacy's topic in Axios Roleplay Archive
Athedil sighed deeply, as yet another poster was put up. He read it carefully, narrowing his eyes as his own name was mentioned. "Monarchist!? Can you not read you absolute imbecile, I wrote that I support the oligarchy, not the monarchy. Or Uthirate as we civilized people like to call it.” -
Athedil sat in his garden, as he heard of yet another set of posters being put up. He slowly raised his hand to his forehead, letting out a deep, utterly hopeless sigh. "By Larihei, when will this idiot give up..."
-
Athedil shook his head slowly, after finishing a sip of his evening tea. "My, my, Arche must be bored these days, why else would he keep beating a horse as dead as this, just give the poor thing the rest it deserves."

“I have yet to see any argument as to why democracy is pure. Is it an insurance of purity that an impure could work to fool the city, only to be elected to rule? Is it an insurance of purity that the most popular is in control, however not the most fitting to sit on the council? You wish an election because you hope to be elected, so you might rule supreme, there is no other logical reasoning. But because you people seem utterly unable to put a lid on your truly quite astonishing stupidity, I wish to give you a challenge. Continue speaking your word to the people of Haelun’or, speak it as well as you are able. Urge the ‘pure’ to join you in an exodus, just as Larihei once did. Let the people show you where they stand, don’t simply put words in their mouths. If you wish to pursue Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, we will not stand in your way, and if our people believe you to be more fit, let them join you. Don’t force yourself upon a city, where you know nothing of what happens, how people think, what people do. Violence is the way of impurity, let those who seek Arche’s guidance go to him, and leave the rest of us in peace so that we might strive towards the true enlightenment that Larihei sought for her kin.”

Athedil's eyes widened as he read the 'anti-government' propaganda, slowly a smile crept its way onto his lips before he finally broke into a hysterical fit of laughter. “Well how about that, the screaming child returns, once more wishing to oust the ruling body. Well, I shall enlighten you to our oldest of ways, you half-wit degenerate. If necessary I can even spell it out for you. In the times of Asulon and the first silver city, we did not have democracy, all you children are simply too young to remember. The original finders of the Eternal College took the position of Okariran, and when a seat became vacant, they simply chose the most fitting to fill it. The wisest and purest must rule, the ones most fit to govern, if you leave it up to the masses you’ll just end up with the ones best as telling people, that everything will be wonderful once they rule, only for them to then sit around doing nothing all day. And what is this about ‘no king but Malin’? As I recall, the other elves where the ones to kick out Larihei and her followers, just for thinking differently. I mean, why would we follow Malin for any logical reason? He did not follow Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, he is most likely a lesser, as he does not descend from someone who bathed in the golden pools. No, if I were to follow any dead individual, it would be Larihei. Remember Mali’thill, kaean'leh thilln chul'okarae.”

Pathing Progress; 1st of The First Seed, 1595
Talias replied to Parion's topic in Axios Roleplay Archive
Athedil joined the small mass of people standing around to comment on the new reform, "I for one support this lack of democracy, too long have we suffered under the stupidity of the masses. Things should be how they originally were, in the first silver city the council was not elected, they chose who joined them when a seat became vacant, and it was the least impure city we have had since the death of Larihei." -

Name: Athedil Haler’thilln Race and Age: Mali’aheral - 375 School of Arcane known(Magics Known): None as of yet, however I intend to learn transfiguration if accepted. Why do you wish to join the Enchantry?: The arts of the arcane have long been of interest to me, I was suggested to seek out the Enchantry to have a group to belong to and work with as I began my studies. As for my reasons to seek the enchantry, most noteable is by far the desire for a network of other mages and scholars, with whom one might discuss matters of the arcane on an educated level. Secondly is the chance to be on the forefront of research into magical anomalies, and a chance to aid in figuring out their secrets. Both for the betterment of the world in general, but certainly also to further my own understanding of the arcane. Do you understand and accept the Enchanters Codex?: I do and I do.
