Yes on lotc we had the empire but we also had mass erping and kiddie abductions and powergaming and dark elf edge ninjas who would advocate for being able to reflex dodge arrows and admins who played sexy OC dragons and inserted themselves into narratives and all those sorts of things.

But it was better back then.
