    Can someone bring me up to speed on what happened to Anthos, and what the Fringe is?

      Anthos literally sploded and now we're in the fringe.

      the squidlord took over anthos and now we have to live on the fringe, ever vigilant for another attack. Or Anthos flooded or something and now we're living in the fringe. I'm not entirely sure myself.

      there's lots of forests underwater on the outer portions of the Fringe though so I'm thinking somebody needs to build an ark.
