Well no because I agree that making a joke on the day of a tragedy is a fine thing. But not when your joke is intentionally spreading false and fucked up ****.

In the hours after a tragedy I think it's important we keep the lines open so to speak so the real info can get through. A joke, even if intended to be lighthearted, can clog things up when people are trying to get information regarding their loved ones. It's just a really careful situation.

So everytime there's a national tragedy we should just all stay off any social media at all? I know you didn't directly say that ,but that's the only alternative to being ON twitter, right? If you want people to know you're safe and you are close to them I'm positive you have better ways to contact them than a twitter timeline or LotC status updates.
