very different gameplay and style. shovel knight is far more about the combat and boss fights (from what i remember, i never finished shovel knight) whereas owlboy is more about exploration and puzzles and the great story.

honestly it's one of the only games i've noticed the character design and thought 'wow that's awesome'

if were going character design i think cuphead takes it. I heard owlboy is more of a puzzle arcade then action. I forgot can you attack in it , or did you need to hit some powerup?

you attack sorta-- carry around people and you control their attacks. and yeah it's maybe a bit more of a puzzle arcade

and yeah i guess cuphead has the gorgeousness and physical aspect of character design fair enough
