i dont know how book clubs work tbh. i just wanted to see what others have to recommend

Hey friends and @iMattyz So I've recently gotten a literary addiction, reading the multitude of books I have in my possession though rarely have touched, opened up accounts on different audio book services and even read a few pages of the God forsakenly bad "Antigua: Land of Fairies, Wizards and Heroes" using google books that my best friend jokingly recommended to me. And after seeing that Niccum's shitpost collection got some of you disappointed and claiming to have hoped for the thread to be an actual book club I figured I could farm some rep start up LotC's book club myself! Let's start off with Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fate of Human Societies by Jared Diamond The book goes into detail of the many factors to leading up to European colonialism and later European world domination, I'm sure all history buffs here have probably read or already been recommended this book before but **** it, why not advertise this some more! My second recommendation will be the previously mentioned awful book known as Antigua: Land of Fairies, Wizards and Heroes (PART ONE, sadly) The book starts off by establishing a great confusion in the mind of the reader as the writing is horrendous enough to make you wonder if perhaps you somehow contracted a worsened form of dyslexia. It's about ( I think) a couple of dragons who roam around pillaging and burning some generic kingdoms and speaking in edgy "heh, nothing personnel kiddo" lingo that will make even the most seasoned of double wielding katana orphans cringe. For God gave us two hands for a reason, for us to use them well. To defend his people, to work the fields, to toil in the mine and to take care of our fellow man. Do not misinterpret my meaning, readers, I am not saying we are to live on bread and water our whole lives, or that we should toil for naught. Humans compensate for their lack of longevity with their ability to do great things. Let us use our ability for the common good. The world is already filled to the brim with suffering and challenges, let us give one another a chance of relief when we can, as I'm sure all good canonists already do. Hoarding our goods like some petty dwarf will do us nothing but harm, for the sin of greed distracts us from piety and God's sacred laws. Make sure you go to bed next time knowing your soul is clean of greed, such sin weighs so heavily on the soul that in your ascension you'll only drop like an anchor into the eternal darkness of the Void. I got OCD too pal, it's a very broad disorder and everyone has their own obsessions and compulsions. The basic "rule" for roleplaying it out is simply to establish a few compulsions/rituals that your character subtly goes through whenever the character stumbles on an event that (i hate even using the word, but its the medically correct term) triggers the OCD.

Funny to see how the dwarves and orcs conveniently support the regime that But I'm afraid that's not gonna work this time around, friendo.
