I'll, take this legit. I haven't been a leader since early 4.0 and haven't really been active minus a few squirts here and there where I make a topic or help out. When I heard the news I assumed I was just being informed as everyone else, so I sorta shrugged it off as 'Stoopeed GMs thinkin' me still 'round 'em parts hehe'. Only until after the **** hit the fan did I realize I was apparently supposed to be Moses and was supposed to bring the news to 'my people'. Except I didn't. Woops. Seriously though, 5 seconds in the halfling section or just ASKING WHO THE LEADER IS could have removed this issue.

I usually try to be tactful and what not since I had returned, because I was once a very rude person, but here it is. Shut the **** up. You have no idea what you're talking about and you're not a halfling. You don't know our playerbase, hell, you don't even understand who runs the halflings. None of your points are even logical, and I have lost IQ points because of 4/5 of your 'reason points'. The onlyhing I agree with is that a few of the halflings have a been a bit loudmouthed to the staff when we should have stayed level headed. Now **** off with telling us to 'stop', we're a community, all of us, and it's a sad day when the halflings start feeling like we're having to defend ourselves from others OOCly because we take up a spec of land and rp with one another. I will also take any warning points FMs want to give me because I swore, but don't remove the post. This is an emotional piece I seriously feel like needs to be said.

A Thesis on Holy Rights I began to ponder a thought on what the Holy Church deems as basic human rights. Although such a phrase has been said before, there are no ‘official’ laws within the world to identify what is, logistically, a ‘Human’, or, more so, what a ‘Human’ is entitled to. Basic bloodlines state a Human is just that- a pure human, but bloodlines are always melding and mingling, either with other races or with other Humanly bloodlines. A well kept example are the quant Halfling folk of the Vale, who are, obviously, related to Humans, as well as dwarves. Are halflings, than, Human? Are they ‘part’ Human? What of Adunians or other half-breeds? Or even, what of Elves, who, besides culturally and physically, ear-wise, are some of the closest species to Humans? Do such deserve equal rights to that of Humans? If you are looking for something closer to home, simply look at Northerners, Southerners, Highlanders, and Farfolk. All different cultures, bloods, and ethnicities mixing within a pot- if Humans are anything they are promiscuous (With or without Church consent or opinion.). So we, and I, as I searched for answers, are left with Several questions. For one, what, if any, Holy Rights as a sentient ‘being’ do we have? What qualifies as a sentient ‘being’- as in, is it simply pure Humans, half-breeds, or more? Finally, in what respects do other creatures of the World have in standings with Humans, as the Creators children? To begin: What qualifies a ‘Being’. I purpose we look deeper into the scripture as to what as a ‘Being’ even entails. Just living things? Or Simply sentient things? The issue with this specific question is that it entales a bit too much for my own knowledge- I am not completely versed in all scriptures, and it is a philisophical question which holds even less answers than questions itself. Secondly, what as a ‘Human’ are one’s Holy Rights? This, again, maybe be better played out within scriptures I have never learned (I am no Acolyte, no Deacon, no Priest.) so it comes to my attention, the question, what is our Right? I prupose the few simple ones- To learn of the Creator and his love. To learn of the Scripture, of the traditions and laws, and rules of God. Finally, to learn of, and walk down one’s own path in God’s eye. These three motions are, to what qualify as ‘Beings’, rules which all should be told, or given the chance to follow. Lastly, how do Humans, or rather these ‘Beings’ fair against non-holy beings? Where do they stand in the spectrum of God’s love and wrath? I, personally, feel, as he has shown with his wrath upon the undead and unholy, that they are shunned within his eyes. Why else would his wrath and rage be pushed to hardily against these monstrosities of he loved them- unless, perhaps, it is not in anger but in love. Like how one punishes a child for stealing cookies- not because you hate the child to punish him, but to teach, and to learn. These are a few simple answers I could, with limited knowledge, find for my odd philosophical questions. -Benedict Avo II

As of 9th Grand Harvest, 1513, The Halfling Eldership of three has been taken down, a coup of the Brotherhood Of Shovels. Finding the leadership corrupt, incompetent, and overall lazy and ineffective, the Overseer Rupert has allowed the removal of the government that has lead the halflings for the time in Athera. With the Death of Elder Fumble, the lack of of Elder Lotho, and the corruption of elder Amell, we have seen it fit to set forth an election, and for the time a semi-active government to keep the halflings moving. Sheriff Frondor will stay in his position as of now, as we do not see it fit to remove this set forth elective as he has done little wrong. In place, a replacement Elder has been put up, Overseer Rupert Herbewallow. This placement is only until the election starts off, either this Elven day, or the next- and up until the end of voting. The BoS will be on patrol to help the Sheriff in any protection, and will give aid to the Halflings of the lands ready for the coming times.
