So, in summary it's acceptable for people to do pretty much no RP then pvp. -shrug- Fair enough. Would still like a member of direct staff to post an acceptable example for concrete reference.

I would still genuinely prefer a response from a staff member capable of enforcing ruling's response. This isn't meant to be a bash fest on Bandits and I don't give a squirt to hear complaints on either side about that angle. I just wanted a provided example of what the rules would require. It's a HUGE grey area and I know all about it. Used to deal with the crap all the time, defaulting makes matter easier. But, I would like to know the punishments and intended regulation of sorts.

So, the fallback for matters of combat is PvP, this I understand. Defaults and such. But, what amount of RP is expected prior to PvP? All I've recently seen is half-assed nonsense followed by a countdown. Most of the time, there isn't even emotes of weapons being drawn. Can an admin/gm/staff present an acceptable example and express the precise punishment for failure to meet these basic standards? Thanks.

It's borederline useless. There are a few instances of RPers that will actually RP the pain or fear but, most of the time people just cackle as if it's the funniest thing ever. That, or make no efforts to RP at all because no one likes being imprisoned. (Dirty 'I GTG'ers) If you're going to be genuinely good at torture, you need to know a bit about your victim. Who they align themselves with. Their direct friends, family and etc. Why? The best form of torture doesn't involve touching the victim. Instead, torture those he/she aligns themselves with, be it their family or friends, directly in front of them. Far more likely to achieve favorable outcomes. However, this is inevitably going to bring forth a grudge of sorts.

Thersist cackles the moment this particular instance arises. "They admit to falsely placing king and try to pass off the forced replacement of High Pontiff as nothing. These men tha' would try to pass corruption of not only inner council but the church itself as nothing are now in control!? Truly not worthy o' any form o' leadership, tha' lot. A small group of cloaked men begin their journey anew, moving from the Cloud Temple and taking a seat upon a cart. There is silence amongst the group and each stares to the cart's worn flooring. A figure shifts his vision from the flooring to the others amidst the cart. The man's face is worn and covered in scars. His left eye had long since lost it's function and patch now took it's place. As the cart approaches the new lands, the figure leans back in his seat and crosses his arms. For a moment, he looks out the cart's back, shaking his head in disgust. More or less a checklist. Have an optimistic, ambitious and intelligent leader. Create objective. Have well structured reasons for objective. Create great lore for faction and those within the faction. Make some decent uniforms. Offer a helping hand to anyone interested in joining the guild and bring people in with an optimistic view on things. Train. Train more. Go to conflicts. Win. Rally on the fact that you've won, as it boost morale stupidly high and will drive recruitment. Start doing things almost everywhere so people always see you, as it drives up the curiosity factor. Create objectives during stalemates, even if only petty patrols. Request RP from other groups or GMs when you have nothing to do. Don't be afraid to go to war and don't be afraid to lose. Conflicts ALWAYS peak activity. IGNORE THE FORUMS AND DO NOT REACT TO ANYTHING ON THE FORUMS. Keep IC-created OOC drama minimal. If someone is seriously crying, 'real tears,' over RP not going their way, take the time to explain that it's just a game. Keep stressing the fact that this is all for S&G. If everything is done, you're set. ------------------- On a side note entirely, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd stop talking as if you were a Rose Tnoy. You aren't, weren't and really won't be. You can't speak on our behalf and were much less than beneficial to the Guild. I can recall MAYBE 3 or 4 times I'd actually seen you doing anything within the Guild. As such, your word's value on matters of the guild are nothing. You were left unoathed for a reason.

To those that found this amusing, you understand why we do these things. You know, YOU KNOW!! To those that got pissy and went off on rant tangents in your little skype corners, what the heck is wrong with you? Have you forgotten that this is just an online fantasy minecraft roleplay server? You do realize that eh... none of this is real, right? None of this even remotely matters and the twisting of the nips over a group, one that doesn't even exist anymore, sheds some pretty hefty light on your addictive personalities. You eh, might need just a tad bit of help. I'm not going to bother coming back to read any of this, as it'll likely just be quoted to me by someone on Skype or TS anyhow but, by all means, rage away over a bit of amusing literature.
