    Has anyone ever seen a proper Mage battle where both mages don't power game, don't rage LOOC/OOC and don't /roll , at all? If so, was the battle interesting? I am looking to try out a little battle with someone; a friendly battle. PM me on the forums and we can see what can be done :)

    Hey everyone, I'm going to temporarily leave LotC so that I can revise for my IGCSE exams completely un disturbed. For those who currently have RP going on with me, I'm sorry, and I ask that we continue the RP when I come back, if that is possible?       I was gonna put that on, but I couldn't spell the full thing (filhiliajkdemekekfmdk). I'll also add Druidism to it, because all I have ever seen Druids do is try to kill things, so they must be inherently evil >:3

      If someone rolls I usually accept it but then the person who loses does the effect to their body. It's worked pretty well for me so far.

      Fair enough. I understand where you get at BNK, but the point I am making is that people /roll for every single emote. Doesn't make sense, honestly. I don't get why they don't just /roll when the hit is likely to connect, not when it is unlikely (for example's sake).

      I hate the /roll thing. Its just as bad as the Halfling v Orc thing in pvp. Why can't people rp like in the good ol' days?

    I like the update where our IC names are our MC nametags...but I like my skin even more, and seeing everyone in Steve skins is odd xD. Any way to fix this, because otherwise the new feature is awesome!

    I like to think that stories are only as good as the villains in them. You can have an amazing story, but if you have a boring, dull villain...the whole plot is a puff.

    I started an extensive guide on how to RP a 'Thieving Villain' and how to RP a 'Victim'. Never completed it, and now it grows dust. Anyone willing to aid me in the production of this monster of a guide? Be warned: Lots of hard work to come.

    I'm interested in RPing a non-Mage, human character. Are there any families of influence in Oren that have a spot open? Preferably Noble, but I am not picky. If it is a nice crowd, I'd love to join :)

      Well there aren't that many families within Oren that aren't nobility. I guess you could be an Herrick?

      There aren't even that many families in Oren tbh. And by that, I mean the ones you're looking for. Big families with lots of different people around all the time. Most of them are people playing their own bloodline, or are fairly exclusive and not recruiting. Your best bet as a Human would be a peasant like Phoenix said, or try play a Soldier from one of the various military groups around, and earn a name for yourself that way. It's much more enjoyable.

    I'm starting up a new status update competition. It is for debating. It starts when I post, and ends when the post is gone from recent status updates. The person who I believe has won gets a point. Let's see who gets the most points! Topic today: Is LotC a high, medium/average or low fantasy RP setting?

      Medium to low fantasy depending on the people and location. It shows the varity of RP you can get by joining which I think is better then a "one size attempting to fit all but fitting few" forced style.

      Medium rare. But jokes aside, it's probably for the best. People constantly whine, ***** and scratch over the furniture, pleading for both realism and game solutions at once, so the only way to make it reasonable might be a compromise. But Heff is right. Gotta keep the druids a-rollin' the way they were. Clique they may be, but it's how it works. And clerics aren't very high fantasy, surprisingly, so they do can be cut down a notch innit.

    Just a question: How old would my character be, right now, if he was born during Mid-Asulon? I've had varying answers, from 75 years old to 116 years old. Thanks :D

      Eh, mid ASULON would more be around 70-100 from what the years have actually been. Sadly what our actual years are has been hopping all over the place since Asulon, so sadly the formula is incorrect 'Mining' :c

      It wasn't always 14 days = 1 IC year though. That's changed several times since mid-asulon. Used to be shorter.
