  1. Death by lag ftw lol

  2. Vectis passes it on to the King and the Lord Chancellor that due to his responsibilities in the Royal Armed Forces and building the Crownlands and family commitments that he has surrendered leadership of this project.
  3. The Vekons are a great house of the Kingdom of Oren. They are the Lords of Northal in service to their liege, House Winter. The House is diverse in it's talents with some experienced in commanding armies, others sticking to pursuits of the arcane, while others enjoy the simpler things in life such as brewing alcohol. Vekons are known to be furiously loyal once their trust is earned and are kind folk, save to those who find themselves at odds with their liege lords. The current patriarch of the House is Vectis Vekon II. Ranks - Head of House - The leaders of the family and Lord/Lady of the House. The Lord leads the House with total supremacy. Duke Vectis Vekon II of Northal (( Drazker )) Duchess Penelope Vekon of Northal (( Juno_Ax )) - Blood Members of House - The noble members of the Vekon family. The family tree. Aubrey Vekon (( The_Chiggles )) Vergil Vekon (( Infant )) Sophia Vekon (( Infant )) House Relics - Veritas - The pale, blue-steel longsword of House Vekon either sits in the House's vaults or on the Lord Patriarch's hip. In all the battles it has seen it has never been lost to enemy hands. It is a great point of morale to be wielded on the battlefield. It's loss would be a great wound to Vekon pride. - The Golden Owl - The sparkling sword of House Owl. This blade was first given to Vectis Vekon II by House Owl's Lord ( and Vectis's squire, ) Athirius Owl IV. It was promised that once Athirius was ready to be knighted, Vectis would return the Golden Owl. Some months into the training, Athirius disappeared and so the Golden Owl remains in the Vekon vaults. - Bricks of Burzfolk-occupied Greywyn - Taken from the corrupted landscape of old Burzfolk-occupied Greywyn, these bricks are symbolic in the proof of Setherien's forces' potential. They were taken as souvenirs by a young Vectis II and kept as reminders.
  4. While marching through the midlands of Oren, Vectis halts an armored boot, looking down to a curious egg lying beneath him right in the pathway. He plants the boot down beside the other, bending his knees to further inspect it before taking it carefully into his gauntlets. What sort of egg could it possibly be?
  5. There have to be at least twenty people on this forum with Jon Snow set as their avatar. They don't even know-.. http://goo.gl/0nHjOh

  6. Vectis swags to these beats. Swerve. Never forget the Phoenix Rebellion. #Tarus
  7. (( This post is to be disregarded, as I have never seen Knox213 roleplaying in Herendul nor would his character have entry to any of the current residences occupied by King Edward II in which the letter could have been received. ))
  8. How about you try to lead by example by roleplaying more peaceful characters with the general public? Work in a tavern, sell alcohol; become a treasure hunter or rare item collecter then roleplay further by trading with random passerbys on the Anthos highway; start a business and offer newer RPers jobs and steady income, a basis to create relationships and branch out; literally dozens more ideas exist, all of which are roles that can be used to create more roleplay and less combat. Try giving it a shot and maybe, if people see it and are interested, you can sway people from combat rp.
  9. The ghost of an Imperial Dragon Guard Lord Commander can be seen standing guard over the ruin.
  10. A quarter of the Royal Army's initiates stood in ranks on the crownlands plateau for inspection and briefing on their mission. In the gaps between formations marched the Herendulian High Command. King Edward II, Lord Marshal Vectis, and Crown Prince Harold, accompanied by Knight Captain David, who was to be placed in command of the particular division. Snow began to fall. Cold wind bit at the mens' faces and even with fur worn under the herendulians' armor, they shivered. The northern weather would soon take hold in the men with the training to come. Vectis finally brought the High Command to the center of the ranks, shouting out over the howling wind, "Before long, you men will take up your swords and spill the blood of rebels!" The howling continued as the clatter of recycled plate armor clanged with the shivers of the recruits. Vectis's voice rang out again, "The spilling of blood is on the hands of the rebel leader. No doubt you know his name! Some of you may think Slade Tarus is a hero for trying to rise up against the Raevir. Hell, it wasn't long ago we were prepared to fight them ourselves!" The initiates stood in perfect silence as the wind whipped up the white and cyan banners of the standard-bearers, the Winter snowflake flapping in the unrelenting breeze. "I will tell you now Slade Tarus is no friend of Herendul or man-kind!" Vectis shouted once again, more fervor in his voice, "I met him once when I served the Wolvengard! He was nothing more than a presumptuous child, clinging to the honor of a father many thought traitorous in his life! Now he has the balls to seek the removal of our country, and our KING, REX AQUILONIUS!" A rabble of initiates, most likely native sons of Herendul, cried out in cheers as their hearts were filled with purpose against this new enemy. No longer, in the minds of those sympathetic with the cause, did they see this Tarus as a friend of Herendul or a savior of Oren. "I expect each one of you men to do your duty when the time comes! Ser David, prep them for training! LONG LIVE HERENDUL! AVE REX AQUILONIUS!" The men rang out in tandem, shouting cries of nationalism as Vectis and the High Command left David to transform the green recruits into battle ready armsmen.
  11. People complain about the server not being fun, about how we're all bad people. I say the opposite. I think it's a bunch of warped perceptions.

  12. Vectis passes by a note, double-taking to review the contents. With a smirk, he shakes his head at assumed intentions behind buying feathers. "What are you arming up for, Silus? Whatever the case, no sane seller would ever part with their feathers for such a low price."
  13. (( That information is not publicly displayed so no metagaming occurs. ))
  14. One wonders how this appointment will effect the machinations of the Antagonists and their storyline.
  15. If you have trouble finding casual RP then you are looking in the wrong places. Search outside your normal group of friends & search roads & fledgling towns in peak hours. The server is rich & abound with new opportunities, find new friends or groups who's RP times align with your schedule. You will be surprised.

Also, I do wander around quite a lot. ;) I have always done that, ever since I joined LotC.

There's a nice place that Izzy Flormai runs on the way to the crossroads. Just keep going. If you hit the signs telling you to go left or right for the human or dwarvan nations, you've gone a tiny bit too far. It's an inn and I've seen it bustling with RP quite often :3
