  4. Drûth Skhelll Habitat: This massive tortoise exclusively inhabits jungles. Description: The Drûth Skhelll, or Bush Tortoise in the Common Tongue, is the jungle dwelling cousin of the famous Duhnah Skhelll. While similar in its enormous size, the Drûth Skhelll differs from its desert relative in temperament and general behavior. Unlike the Duhnah Skhelll, the Drûth Skhell is herbivorous, finding its sustenance in the dense foliage of its jungle home, and often swallowing stones to assist in digestion. As such, it is noticeably safer to approach. Some might even consider it relatively docile. This is not to say the beast can’t or won’t defend itself when it feels threatened. It shares the powerful jaws of the Duhnah species, and can use them with lethal efficacy. Its shell also provides a near impenetrable defense, rivaling that of the great tortoises of the desert. Unlike the shell of the Sand Tortoise, however, the shell of this species doesn’t become brittle upon death, but stays behind as a proud monument to its previous owner long after the stalwart beast passes away. Like many other reptiles, the Drûth Skhelll grows for as long as it lives, as evidenced by the discovery of rare colossal shells left behind in the jungle, though most specimens only seem to live long enough to reach the size of a respectable house. Their coloration has been noted to vary from deep grays to dark greens, well-suited for their hostile jungle homes. The females tend to lay and bury large clutches of eggs, many of which are likely to fall prey to the various predators of the jungle. Needless to say, the Drûth Skhelll is extremely slow, with the exception of its devastating bite, much like that of the common snapping turtle, but on a far grander scale. ((It should be pointed out that, if tamed, this is not a combat mount. It’s a tortoise. It’s slow. Not something on which one gallops into battle. Since it only attacks in defense, it cannot be forced to fight. It defends itself if attacked, but it cannot be commanded to attack people.)) ((Edit: It should also be noted that this lore is being submited in preparation for a future event that's still being worked on by members of the ED. We just wanted to post this now, so the lore would be ready in time for said event. Obviously, this little note at the end doesn't have to be included if the lore is accepted.)) 7. In all fairness, the tent cities were a regression. Originally, orcs didn't live in tent cities. According to what I've been shown in old videos and told by old orc players, the orcs built actual cities in the early maps. So, the issue with tents is that it doesn't really make much sense for a culture to just suddenly devolve from building cities to just living in a cluster of tents. The current style is certainly more complex than the old cities in, say, Aegis, but that's because the Aegis builders didn't really have the same options at their disposal in the days before upside down stairs.

Mind you, I'm not talking about what you're referring to as normal conversations. I don't go around correcting people on skype or text messages. I'd be a very busy man if I did. In fact, I very rarely correct anyone's grammar, because there's always some guy who feels personally hurt over any and all correction. So, if you're talking about something like a skype conversation or your own intentionally butchered replies to my status (yes, I caught the joke, Pie), then you and I aren't talking about the same context.

  10. To whomever wrote the current wiki, http://prnt.sc/b9nds4 Sanjezal not only no longer exists, but it didn't exist in Vailor at all. It was the orc capital in either Aegis or Asulon. I'm not 100% sure which of those, to be fair. It definitely has never been in Vailor though.

  11. Hm. So, this is a little awkward lol. I woke up today, and found out that I need to replace the description I provided with a farm more in-depth description Hellfiazz prepared but never posted. So, here it is. 100% of the credit goes to Hellfiazz for this information, and yes I have his permission. Sorry for the confusion this may cause. The Scaddernak One of the mightiest beasts in the known world, the Scaddernak is a fearsome creature that has earned its place in the Orcish psyche as symbolic of themselves: resilient, strong, and relentless in its fury. They resemble vastly overgrown scorpion-like monsters, though to describe them so does not quite do them justice. Physiology: Upon reaching adulthood, an average Scaddernak will be 40 feet in length when laid out from front of pincer to end of stinger, though will generally be 25 feet when active, and roughly 15 feet wide. They have two large pincers that are easily capable of severing a mortal in two, and have been used many a time to batter down stone walls in sieges and the like, as well as eight very sturdy segmented legs. Their stinger, a large portion of their total length, does not actually contain any venom glands and is instead used as a massive club-like appendage by the Scaddernak. They instead have venom in their Chelicerae, or mouthparts, more similar to a spider, which is potent enough to kill an Olog within an hour if it enters the bloodstream, and can even act as a horrifically strong corrosive in high concentrations. Their carapace is exceedingly thick, made up of a nigh impenetrable chitin that can resist even the bolts of ballistae, and can only be pierced by conventional weaponry around the Scaddernak’s mouth or underbelly. The chitin itself can be used as a very effective if unmalleable form of armour, if one is able to get access such a coveted material. Generally, they are of a black colour, but their have been uncommon cases of red, sandy, and even dark blue scaddernaks. History Scaddernaks have had a long history of interaction with Orcs, dating back to the first days of the Orcish race. The first taming of a Scaddernak was done by Krug himself, who managed to subdue one of these great creatures. He named this Scaddernak Lurgoi after his son, Lur, who he bestowed the beast onto. However, most interactions between the Orcs and Scaddernaks have been conflicts, with Orcs hunting the Scaddernaks and having many casualties afflicted upon them in the process. For a long while Scaddernaks verged on extinction with the only known remaining being the now legendary Lurgoi, though more recently they have began to rejuvenate their population under Orc stewardship. Taming and Ownership Though there are some instances of Scaddernaks being tamed, this is an extraordinarily rare occurrence due to the overwhelming difficulty and danger of the process. Such a thing involves forcing the Scaddernak into submission multiple times, which without an immensely strong sedative is almost impossible to do without rendering the beast unconscious, or worse, dead. As such, most domesticated Scaddernaks have been raised by a mortal from hatching. Scaddernak eggs are generally gained from an already tame Scaddernaks nest, which are as expected far easier and safer to access. In theory, a Scaddernak can be stolen from a wild Scaddernak, but this will almost certainly result in the thief’s death after a very vengeful adult hunts them to the ends of the earth. LM Approval required: Still an absolute yes!
  12. Scaddernak Habitat: The Orcish desert, or wherever the orcs take the few remaining specimens. Description: (Much credit to booklight12, whose descriptoin was the only one I managed to find. This is his description with a few slight alterations on my part for accuracy. Booklight12's original topic can be found here https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/121307-atheran-wildlife-deus-proditor-flora-fauna-and-bestiary/#comment-1163711 ) Scaddernaks are huge, dark creatures that resemble a mix of spider and scorpion with eight legs and a giant, venomous stinger. They have two claws, each bigger than an entire Orc and enough strength to smash down a fort in seconds. They are usually black or sandy coloured. These powerful creatures have impenetrable exoskeletons, with small vulnerable points found only at the joints, mouth, and eyes. Their pinsirs constrict with enough force to dent or even crush iron armors. They are extremely rare, with only two known living specimens and one known egg. Both known scaddernaks are under the fierce protection of the Orcish people, not that they need others to protect them, as they are intelligent, unspeakably lethal, and aggressive. It should also go without saying that they are very difficult to kill. Encounters with adult scaddernaks will almost inevitably lead to the deaths of its enemies. Of the few living examples of this highly endangered species, the most famous is the ancient Lurgoi. This monster is under the care of the Lur Clan, and is an enormous specimen, far larger than your average house. Confrontation is not recommended. Author: For the life of me, I have no clue who originally came up with scaddernaks. They're old as dirt though, and need to be on here. LM Approval Required: Yes! The reason being that they're incredibly rare, and should realistically almost never be encountered.
  13. ((To be fair, I used the word "minecraft" lol. Either that, or they just don't like people pointing out that none of their supposed "orc skulls" are real. Regardless, I shouldn't have mentioned minecraft in an IC post lol.))
  14. The Dwelfhumkha. This Orcish delicacy is a deboned dwarf stuffed inside of a deboned elf, further stuffed inside of a deboned human, stuffed inside of a deboned kha, and baked at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for and hour and a half. Season to taste. Feeds a family of four, or one Nurena. I don't know if this is eligible as a submission or not, but I just had to get this idea out to the public somehow.
  15. Malog, having been a long-time follower of Orgon since long before Kharak had even been born, surveys the landscape with a chuckle. He shakes his head knowingly at the fallen wards. The nature of the fungus is no mystery to him. He's known of it for countless decades before Kharak or his plague even existed. He's studied it, fed it, and watched it grow upon every shrine erected to Orgon since the Fringe. He understands its consuming nature. He is, after all, one of its discoverers. "Kharak," he muses aloud, "lat am a hozh Rex, agh hav bub'hozh potenzhul az a wizch doktur, but lat hav muzch tu lurn abowt Orgon. Hi kannub bi kontayn'd, ur chayn'd like a pet. He suddenly utters an Old Blah phrase, which even he hasn't spoken in years, in a phlegmy, harsh, guttural tone, "Mubaramizhi, gith prazogat. Mubaramizhi, gith kul Orgonob."
  16. A young man begins recording the high elven number system: 1 = At least 1, depending on how much one wants to exaggerate. 2 = Apparently, a "great multitude" 3 = I dunno... about 40 billion, I guess? 4 = No doubt more than one could physically fit within the confines of the entire known universe.
  17. Malog, being a wise and learned shaman, informs him that the high elven definition of such would be when two orcs arrive separately and are individually targeted by a swarm of seven or more elves.
  18. Malog makes a brief announcement to all Yars, "En viuw ob hiz promozhun tu Targoth, and jenurul purfurmunze en kombat, mi deklayr Vorgo'Yar tu bi azh ob da Zkhelll Chopperz!"
  19. ((It should be mentioned that Sanjezal has been gone for hundreds of years. If your character was born in Gundz'koth, he would never have seen Sanjezal. I understand the lore about orcish cities can be a bit unclear, so I hate to seem nit-picky. I'm just letting you know for the benefit of your character's backstory. Nobody wants to get into rp, and realize there's an inconsistency in their character's personal story. The current capital is San'Thraka, which was built some months after the demolition of Gundz'koth. If you'd like to name an orcish city that existed at the same time as Gund'koth, Laz-Dur would be the one. But, like I said, Gundz'koth was built centuries after Sanjezal was gone. I hope that's helpful.))
  20. ((We are indeed still recruiting. I just haven't been on in a while. Very sorry I took so long to see your question.))
  21. Malog surveys these blighted lands with a nod of approval, remembering his own years of service to Orgon. He gazes with a sort of nostalgia at the shrines, pleased to see them spread, "Mubaramizhi, gith prazogat. Mubaramizhi, gith kul Orgonob."
  22. ((Well, they don't worship him. They historically have believed in his existence.))
