  1. When it existed, it even admitted OOC that it didn't come from the creator. It came from an unknown Aengul. I'm pretty sure the staff does not want the creator handing out magic of any kind. Additionally, any magic that claims to infringe on other magics even a little makes me not too happy about it.
  2. I'd like to note a couple things for the guide: First of all, wood eleven eyes tend to come in the blue/green/brown. Other colors would come from interbreeding with the other subraces. They're also the only subrace that dryads come from. Additionally for Dark Elves, Velulaei isn't viewed as an ascended. She is viewed as the aengul of the moon by believers. EDIT: And just because, a note on the words that denote familial relationship: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/19254-recovering-the-ancient-tongue-of-the-elves/page-33#entry770861 llir: sibling/cousin/friend malii: child/son/daughter
  3. So the height inflation is happening on multiple races. Still should be put a stop to, just on all races instead of just orcs.
  4. On that note, that also means you can't tell if you're hurt which means you could let some potentially fatal injuries go without realizing it until you're literally dropping dead. RPed right, that would be interesting!
  5. So in all of this fighting, I've been thinking. When joined a year and a half ago, in Anthos, orcs capped out at about 7-8 feet tall. Now they're reaching 10 feet? What's changed? Why are they growing taller than they used to? I know that people like to push to make their character as tall as they can get away with, but this is excessive.
  6. At this point anyone can play a dryad. They are an optional life state for wood elven women, after all. EDIT: Added a section of brief guidelines.
  7. Soul Puppetry is meant to be voodoo curses. Healing is certainly not along those lines. I'm pretty sure Monkey would be opposed to this lore addition.
  8. I poked Bird for that last night. I'll bother her again if she missed it.
  9. Bumping this back up so that it gets moved to the lore forum, which was locked at the time I wrote this, but now seems the place for this stuff to be considered. This is pretty much the way dryads are RPed nowadays anyway. I could perhaps add a list of things to do and not to do as dryads at the bottom for a quick summary.
  10. I'll note again that it hasn't really been allowed since Kefi.
  11. Yeah... I can say the original idea was voodoo curses to the point that the magic was called voodoo early on. I remember there was an early attempt to expand the lore but I'm not sure what happened to that.
  12. Yeah... that's sort of why we can't do it anymore (Even though I think Savvy was the only one who ever did that). I'd like to have it come back in a more limited form, but I don't know if that will ever happen. Anyway, I like the lore! I don't think it quite fits the Monkey's original vision of the magic, but it makes sense, and sometimes unexpected things can pop up as a logical extension of a magic, right? :)
  13. This sounds similar to how Saviticus used to replace lost limbs using druid healing, except a bit more thorough and a different type of magic. ( If you know the character Kefi, you've probably noticed her wooden limbs. )
  14. I could use screenshots of various LotC Elven styles of architecture for reference. Does anyone have any good screenshots from any LotC time period?

Well, the main Elven style has always followed along elegancy, and free-form. Message me later and I can show you a few Malinorian methods if you don't want to free-form it.

Well, what I want is a reference so that I can get an idea of what I'm doing, and the architecture does differ greatly between the three subraces. I just want some stuff that's representative of the styles as a whole. If you're willing to show me a few things, I'd love to see them.

  15. Does anyone have some really good screenshots of dark elven and high elven architecture?

I just want reference material for playing around in single player. By really good I mean representative of the style.

  16. So, from what I've seen, resets kill item creation in the workstation ( I lost a bucket making salt because of a reset). Resets occur ever 4 hours. According to he stonemason workstation, glowstone takes over 7 hours to make. Does this mean Glowstone is impossible to make?

Does the time to make stuff like Glowstone decrease as your skill level improves? Why does glowstone have such a randomly high craft time?

      Nefarious Aus Shitpost

it decreases as your level in the skill needed to make it goes up.

      Mirtok

My workers have been able to craft a good amount of glowstone so it is very possible.

  17. I just got an idle kick after about 30 seconds of walking O.o

Pretty sure it's when using the chat log, I've gone tabbed out crafting for hours with the chat log open and never got kicked. Walk around for thirty minutes, get kicked.

If you're referring to the chunk loading distance,it's to prevent lag.

I would rather have a bit of lag then a tiny chunk loading distance. You can barely see anything on tiny.

  20. I'm calling it. The abyss and the hellscape near it are evidence in support of the Myth of the Great War :P

      Lark

      could be bark armor.

    3. Eleatic

      Eleatic

It entirely depends, Katherine. I'm a Dread Knight, and I wear armor. I would, for other reasons, not be allowed in your grove, but what if the armor is contextual and a just-in-case?

    4. IrishPerson

      IrishPerson

      No, it's not.

  24. I just can't seem to get animted gifs to animate as my avatar.
