Perhaps a concession can be made from both sides? A status locked and commented upon that a thread is necessary after a five-minute breather is common ground I believe we both can stand upon. Deletion is so frustration to the average player, it is much like trying to speak your opinion while angry and being told to shut up. It's such an aggravating feeling.

In blunt terms, I shouldn't have to want you to listen to our statuses. You just should. If people are complaining with a side of snark, I believe it is uncouth to ignore the main dish. While toxicity and crude words are never wanted, this does not change that the person is still angry about something. I believe that dismissing rude comments entirely is an issue that all people have as a whole, not simply on our fabulous server. Thanks for your reply! I wasn't aware of this policy; I don't believe I've ever had a status deleted that wasn't clearly removed for good purpose. If your team isn't doing this, I would highly appreciate it if they did. It may be time consuming, but no one likes to be silenced.

No, I don't scream bias when something doesn't go my way. I understand that my thread may imply that I am a whiny person, but I do not believe I am. I'm not going to speak for or about Miky's behavior. I understand that there might be good reason for Wardogs statuses being hidden, but I don't see it. I really don't. No, the staff don't need to express their reasoning for every little thing, but I see the necessity to explain why they are silencing opinions.

I appreciate this. May I ask why status updates are being deleted without provided reason? Perhaps staff members who hide statuses can PM the poster to inform them of the reasons?

I'm not going to mince words. Staff (that mainly includes GMs), you need to communicate more actively with the player base. You've deleted multiple statuses created by my friend, Wardog, and you've not given him a reason. People are complaining publicly and you're removing their right to, which is censorship. I understand that LotC is not 'America', but you need to communicate with us. We're not your enemy. With that said, I would like to open this thread to calm discussion about how the staff can communicate with the player base and vice versa.

Now that is has been a month since the removal of status updates, I shall offer my opinion. I feel disjointed from the server, disconnected from the friendly environment of LotC, but also relish in a slight dip in forum-based drama. I want status updates to return for the first two reasons; however, for the last reason, it is my hope that the status updates are more heavily policed. As Rittsy stated in his reply that locked the flame-ridden thread about the original issue, the forums have long been a cesspool of drama. Perhaps they are also ventilation, but I do not enjoy reading hatred in small quips along the side of the forums. TL;DR? Return status updates, police them more heavily for trolling.
