A Public Statement: The Dean's Recommendation of Investigation
It was through a whisper that my suspicion first arose. An elderly woman in the Felsen Square was telling of Seahelm, a town in the Norlandic region of Vailor, currently ruled by The House of Ruric. Her story was truly chilling; it spoke of pagan-worship and barbaric manners. Obviously I was already well aware of the issues prevalent in that area relating to barbarians and pagans, but that is not what caught my attention. At the end of her tale she mentioned that a Church had still not been erected in Seahelm despite House Ruric's declared loyalty to GOD, blessed be his name. I thought nothing of it - an old wives' tale, surely.
Later in the week, as my mass came to a close and the congregation of St. Adrian's Chapel rose to donate their coin to GOD's cause, I heard yet another whisper from sailors in the congregation. They spoke of the godlessness of Seahelm, a petrifying town in the North. I inquired with them as to why they were categorizing a holding of the Noble House of Ruric in such a dark light. Their answer was simple - they had no Church to worship the almighty GOD for the sailors stopping by their port, much less for their own people. I was doubtful of this anecdote, but the lady in Felsen Square had told a similar story and so I decided to investigate for myself.
Upon arriving in Seahelm, the evidence struck me immediately, before I had even entered the city itself. A large sign was lettered with the words: the All-Father is judging
Who could this All-Father be? Certainly not the Lord God, for that is not his name. I decided to explore the frigid city of Seahelm further before drawing any conclusions. Sure enough, there was an auction house, a humble bank, and many a home. The city did not look barbaric in any way and was clearly civilized, surely the work of the Noble House of Ruric. However, there was no church. I walked throughout the city thrice and could not find a single Canonist House of Worship anywhere.
Simply put, this is a crime against GOD.
It is for this reason, Monsignor Auditor, that I recommend a full investigation is opened on the House of Ruric, this so-called All-Father, and their lack of a proper Church.
