  1. The Words of a Halfbreed. as remembered by Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard After my exile from the Frostbeard clan at the hands of Verthaik II Frostbeard due to my role in ending the second Frostbeard rebellion I wandered the lands alone. Few were there who would welcome me from my past life, be there Frostbeard or not. Loneliness is the fertilizer that helps the crops of Khorvad grow. But in these dark times I found a hermit, a half dwarf. He was wise beyond his years, and he told me some things I would never forget. I am sure that if it were not for him the flame of Yemekar would have been extinguished in my heart. These were his words; “Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all dwed. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the soul. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser dwed than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own goals, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many dwed strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as everlasting as the mountains. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of Yemekar no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as he planned it. Therefore be at peace with Yemekar’s Balance, whatever you conceive it to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.” It is true that these were words of a half dwarf, but the truth emerges even in the most unimaginable of places. [!] Depiction of the Hermit.
  2. A Poem to the wind There lived a Frostbeard back in ancient times, It was a time before our great crimes. In a village on top of the mountains he lived, among his clansmen he thrived. His name lost, but he belonged to those of beard and frost. He was a dwarf who loved and sang, directed toward those who above him overhang. But even among them, there was one for who these words stem. It was to her he sang this song; Goddess of the winds from the far north to the far southern shore What can be said of you that has not been said before Your great power and beauty none ought to deny Lady of passion or Goddess of love are names you are known by Your marvellous realms are for all to see And your beauty is everywhere all around me The one who can create a beautiful flower Remains unchallenged as the seas power In your anger the ground you shake And death and disaster you may leave in your wake Yet such beauty you create for us to admire The Goddess of water of wind and of ire The fact of the matter and fact never lie Is that one debout to you is not afraid to die. -Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard- [!] Depiction of the nameless Frostbeard.

They do net need anyone giving them the options, they know tha law and tha procedure they would need tu use to change et ef needs be. Tha policies ye propose ar jest tha, proposals. 9. The Tale of Abba Stonebeard Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard This is the tale of a spirit. A folk tale some could say. This is the tale of Abba Stonebeard. Abba fathered many children and he loved them dearly. He was devoted to his family and to Belka and Anbella the Brathmordakin that blessed him with such a large family. As he grew he taught his children what he was taught in his life and what he learned from experience. The large family of Abba was dangerous and the Ironborn felt threatened by him. They persuaded one of his sons to kill him. Abba did not have the chance to turn and see the face of the kin that had slayed him. [!] Abba being called by Belka. In his last moments he thought about all the things he could do for his children, all the things he could teach them, in his mind they still needed his guidance. Abba felt his family was in danger without him, and so, when Belka came to take his soul to Kaz’a’dentrumm he ran away from her. The pious dwarf ran away from his body until he lost sight of Belka. For days his soul roamed the world alone, until he met one of his children. Her name was Bekka, she had grown older. It was then that he realised that the days that had passed were in fact years. He realised he was dead, and that he was unable to impact the physical world in any way that would help his children. He left the children he loved so much to look for a body. [!] Depiction of the wandering soul of Abba. And so, days became months, and months became years. But one day he gave up, he knew he had insulted Belka by running away from her. As he was dead and still a pious dwarf he begged Dungrimm. The moon was full and the sky was clear. It was then he heard the voice of the most honorable one. The voice of Dungrimm boomed from the moon. “You wish to stay alive Abba son of Droik and Monna Stonebeard? Why should you be given the luxury that has not been given to others? Are you so important that you should exist beyond the natural cycle we have created?” Abba bowed down until his ghostly lips could touch the ground “Honorable one! Please! I need to do this to protect my children! Without me they are in great danger!” “So you believe aye!” Replied the voice. “Your soul is not ready to enter my halls Abba son of Droik and Monna Stonebeard. But there is still hope for you. I shall give you your wish, perhaps once you realize the mistake of your ways your soul will be ready to be judged…” The voice echoed away as the moon fell and the sun rose. As the sun shone on the ground a statue would rise from the earth. Abba walked towards the statue, it had the face of a dwarf, yet it was distinctly a statue, not alive. Once he laid his hand on it Abba could feel his ghostly body being pulled into the statue. He blinked for a second and in that second he found himself looking from the eyes of the statue. He felt he was not astral anymore and was in fact physical. However, he was not breathing, he could not smell the woods around him, and he could not feel the ground at his feet. He looked around, but colors did not look colorful, he was unable to feel what he saw. After agonizing for a fortnight on his fate Abba gathered himself and started to march to the capital so he could be of service to his children. [!] Depiction of Abba on his way to the capital of the Empire of Khorvad. Abba did not notice it, but once he arrived in the capital many more years had passed, the Ironborn Empire had a new King and many of his children were now parents and grandparents. But still he thought he could protect them and guide them. He made himself known to the Ironborn King who did recognise the name of the dwarf Abba. The king believed him dead, as did his father before he passed away. Nonetheless the King looked upon Abba, he saw an abomination that could not possibly take the throne from him, and so the ironborn allowed Abba to make his request. Abba just asked to be able to serve in the guard of the king, so that he could be able to protect his children. For years Abba served as the executioner of the king, the stone demon. Soon his name was forgotten even by his descendants. But he remembered all of theirs. For the sake he slaughtered any individual the king wished to be killed, be them innocent or guilty. It was not until Kreyos, the son of his grandchild Abba II who is in turn the son of Monna, his daughter, was deemed as a threat by the king. Kreyos was soon captured and he lay on his knees in front of the throne of the Ironborn Empire and its King. Beside the king was Abba, when the king ordered him to kill Kreyos he stayed silent. He knew the King was now a threat to his descendants and so he used his fist to punch a hole into the chest of the king removing his heart. It was at that point that he turned himself to his descendant. But in his eyes was disgust, the same disgust that appeared in all those that came into the room once they heard the king’s body hit the ground. All the dwarves of the city, his descendants and those that were not, they both shouted and spit at him. United in their hatred of the stone being. Abba was forced out of the city. He had nothing, and now he had less than nothing. [!] Depiction of an Ironborn King. One night he reached the top of a hill and there he sat for years. He sat thinking about the best way he could serve his children. It was after many winters that Abba finally realised, there was only one thing he could actually do to help, and that any action that he takes now that he no longer belongs in this realm will result in chaos. There was only one thing he could do, and that was to do nothing, to accept his time has passed. It was at that moment he closed the eyelids he did not possess and fell asleep, the first time ever since he was killed. He woke up in what felt morning, but he was no longer on top of a hill. He could feel himself opening his eyes, and as he did so he would gaze upon and feel the essence of the opened halls of Kaz’A’Dentrumm, the Brathmordakin calling him forward to start the bid on him. [!] Depiction of Abba reflecting on his life.
  10. The Rollingstone Interviews: Bhodi Cottonwood, interviewed by Baldin Frostbeard. When asked he describes himself as a friendly forest dwarf, skilled hunter, who liked to have a good time, today we will ask Bodhi Chief of the Cottonwood some questions for journalistic purposes. Baldin Bodhi Chief, as a forest dwed what is your goal in life? My goal in life is to make sure my kin are safe and live long enough so I can share my knowledge of hunting so they can pass down how to be safe. How long have you been a hunter? How compatible is it with the lifestyle of a Chief? I have been hunting ever since i got to hefrumm many years ago. And I manage to do both you see, cottonwoods love hunting. Soon we will have more hunts and trainings for those hunts. What makes a cottonwood? A Cottonwood is one that cares for Hefrumm as much as Bjor Cottonwood did, aswell as having a passion inside them for the clan and its kin. What makes the cottonwoods stand out from other clans of Hefrumm? The cottonwoods make up most of the village, and the most skilled clan, we know how to craft, hunt and all sorts of things How knowledgeable are you of Cottonwood history? Aye, Beorn and the other people have told me about the clan but I’m learning to this day. I would like to know about the last hunts and people that have made an influence on the clan like Bjor did. Who would be your favorite Clan Chief and Why? Maggie, she helped guide me through the clan when I first joined and she helped me out every day. In what ways did she lend a hand? She taught be to be a cottonwood and to be a hefrumm What is your opinion of the Cottonwood Revolt in Atlas? The what? The revolt of the cottonwoods in atlas to take down edel silvervein. I do not know, it was before my time. How did you make the decision to become Chief? It was because of Beorn, Maggie, and my father that made me want to become one so I can make them proud and I'm sure if maggie was around she would be very proud of me because of what I have become so far. And what is that? She would of seen me grow from the dwarf that I once was to the one I am now, she would of seen me lead my guild into battle and now see me leading my clan into the future of the village, and she would see the things I have done for the village and it’s kin What would you say you have done for the village and its kin? I have given them hope and helped them find what they like to do for the village. I have welcomed them into the village with open arms and not just our kin, but whoever walks through the village, I have also been helping out Yaz giving her more ideas to play with, to help improve the village. With all you have achieved, what are your current goals as chief? My goals are to get more Cottonwoods to join and to have weekly hunts, teachings, and stories, and lots more. I also plan on bringing back racing. What will your position as Chief mean for Hefrumm and the larger Urguan? It means that I would like to make an impact on the village and city like Bjor and the past chiefs did and to make it so my kin look up to someone who won’t let them down when things go south. How is Yazmorra doing as High Chief? I think she is doing the best for the village, the best that she can, and she has grown a lot from when we first met all those years ago. What about the Grand King? Has his policies been helping hefrumm? That I don't quite know but I think he thinks the village and its kin as his own and what is best for it. It was a pleasure and an honor to interview the chief of the Cottonwoods.

If one were to open the book they would be able to smell the aroma of a temperate forest, and cactus green coming from the pages. Animal Guides, Understanding Hefrumm vol.I Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard In my time living among and marrying a hefrumm I have witnessed first hand their traditions and ways. On one hand it has shown to be alien in some aspects, to a agnarumm like myself. On the other hand, hefrumm like agnarumm have shown to be able to look at our world and look beyond to develop a deeper interaction with it. The relevant example and the one that will be looked into in this paper are animal guides in hefrumm. [!] Depiction of Fraye Cottonwood and her bear companion. To make it clear to you fellow reader, animal guide is a term I will be using to avoid the use of the word pet, as they are not the same and I do not wish to offend any hefrumm. As per tradition acquiring an animal companion is a step taken by many dwarves of Hefrumm in their process to maturity. Some clans even have the process in their trials, seeing it as a crucial part to understand hefrumm culture. To hefrumm an animal companion is not just a pet. They are a lifelong companion, one that receives the affection of their dwarf and returns it, just as showing affection towards the Tribunal and the things they influence will result in receiving the attention and affection of the Tribunal. [!] Depiction of a Cottonwood and her wolf companions. The tradition of animal guides is not ancient, nor is it new. It was Paragon Bjor Cottonwood who started the tradition when he fought and subdued the great boar of Atlas. Despite their fight the two beings saw the connection that linked them to Anbella and to each other. The boar became the Paragon’s greatest ally and close friend. Bjor loved the animal so much he used the boar’s image as the sigil of the Cottonwoods, so that the spirit of the animal could guide his descendants. With time Bjor’s boar died of old age, happy and fulfilled. [!] Depiction of Bjor, the great boar of Atlas, and the boar’s offspring. The Brathmordakin took pity on the mourning Bjor and one day, the dwarf that would eventually become a paragon met Mr.T. Mr.T was Bjor’s toad companion, the creature never left his beard and like the great Boar of Atlas before it, Mr.T gave Bjor all its love and stayed with him until the end. The love of animal companions towards their hefrumm friends would be clear to anyone that witnessed the death of the mighty Bjor Cottonwood. In his last moments as the venom of the alras turned his body to stone, Mr.T stoically stayed in Bjor’s beard, seemingly accepting that Bjor’s death was now certain and that it would die soon be it alone in the woods or stuck inside the dwarf’s beard that was turning to stone. Mr.T chose the later, choosing to valiantly stay with Bjor, spending the last moments of its life mourning its old friend. For days one would be able to hear the quacks coming from inside Bjor’s petrified beard. Each day the quacks would become weaker and weaker, until eventually Mr.T gave its last quack. [!] Depiction of Bjor depicting Mr.T. I have witnessed dwarves of all kinds have pets and mascots that they deeply cherish, and with the clear exception of the Irehearts and their wolves I have not seen any other group of dwarf that has such a close relationship with the creatures of this realm. Hefrumm are truly fascinating, their written culture can be read in a fortnight, but their rich oral ways, and their seemingly heightened sense of compassion are things that enable them to amaze even the most learned dwarf. [!] Depiction of Knud ridding the great snail of Hefrumm.

  13. Baldin responds to Thorin "Dearest Thorin, I have not done such a thing and will never speak in the name of another's order. The personal religious meaning I place on things and how I choose to worship our gods is my choice."
  14. Baldin writes a response Deception is an art few posses, and even fewer use fer good. saddleh Grimdugan has not blessed me with it. Feel free to act as you plese, though I will always do what I belive is right and accept the consequences, so if I have done something to wrong you feel free to feel entitled to your feelings towards me.
  15. A reponse from Baldin. Not one that teaches no. When a dwarf reaches a certain age he should learn to keep his knowledge to himself, allow the youth to discover it. But if what you mean by seer is being part of the order of seers, then no I am not one of them. The knowledge I gave the seers of the seers council is just the one given to me by previous lone seers. This Seer Collective is not something I partake in as it is not the individual path I was taught. However, I accept their take on Seerdom.
  16. Baldin Responds to Norli, I am not asking for any religious authority. I had my time to do good for the Kirkja Dverga, it is your time to shine.
  17. Responds to the response of the response I was a Frostbeard during Agnarum and when the current kingdom was founded. I have not stopped existing. Hence I am a Frostbeard.
  18. Baldin would respond, You accepted I was a Frostbeard in the past, you cannot just disown a dwarf for no reason. If you do so you will be dividing the Frostbeards loyal to Urguan for no reason what so ever. Also the declaration does not apply to me as I did not claim the name during Kaz'Ulrah. I became a Frostbeard after the battle of the tall grass defending the Grandaxe Village from the Iron Uzg.
  19. -=- Public Message -=- I was forced to write this message publicly as a message meant for my fellow seers has been tagged with two other messages from Azkel and High Prophet Norli. If you are neither of these dwarves this might not be of interest to you. To Azkel you tried to get me to stop calling myself a Frostbeard in Atlas. Yet I ignored you and was able to work with the High Preceptor of the time, the honorable Fili Grandaxe, into giving mercy to those Frostbeards that wished to return. I actually remember working with you on this matter after you got over your inexplicable hatred of my person. After Fili I continued the cause as High Preceptor to try to reintegrate the Frostbeards into dwarven society. Because of this I tell you now the same I have told you then, I will stop being a Frostbeard the day I die. My sins in the rebellions have been forgiven by Fili after decades of service under the order of the flame, unable to get any titles or political power. I have gained the right to call myself a Frostbeard, and that is something that only the Brathmordakin themselves will be able to take away from me. To the High Prophet Norli, one should not take what is said in battle seriously. At my age and with my physical pains one tends to over drink to be able to fight in battle. If you are still sore about our disagreements back in the day I would love to have a drink with you. Let me assure you however, I do not intend to be part of any organization. My role as a seer is to observe what I can. I do hope you are doing well though, we haven't talked in a long time. I hope you have enough food at home, and that you study a lot. TO CONCLUDE, I am Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard and this means I will serve Urguan and the Brathmordakin to my last breath bearing the name that has made me who I am. My actions will be as they have always been guided by the teachings of the Brathmordakin. -Signed- Baldin 'Ironside' Frostbeard
  20. [!] A letter has been left behind on the throne of the high chief from High Chief Karl Blackroot To my fellow dwarves; It has been an honor, Thank you for your service, Thank you for your friendship, I will always be by your sides, Watching over you from Anbella's realm, Do not waver in adversity, May the greatness of Urguan bring prosperity to dwedkind, And may the Hefrumm become greater than ever before, I love you all, -Karl Blackroot-
  21. Baldin Frostbeard smiles at the good news "Finalleh someone es doin somethin so tha the likes ef Kerwyr and Verthaik II Blackfist do net gain power en thes new Frostbeard clan, one truer to our ways and ancestors."
  22. Second Folk's Council of Almaris Three years after the arrival into Almaris we as the folk Council make Known the following decisions: High Chief Election Through an unanimity vote it was decided that Hefrumm will have a new run of High Chief elections. The runners at the moment are the Chief of the Cottonwood clan Bhodi and the current High Chief Karl Blackroot. Chiefs’ Council number requirement change The number of clan members needed for a clan in Hefrumm to be able to join the council of Chiefs’ will be reduced from 3 to 2. However, they will still need to follow the other requirements as set forth in the constitution of Hefrumm. Clan Windrock new member of the Chiefs’ Council Clan Windrock has been approved to join the council of Chiefs’ as they possess the numbers. The decision will be official once that they have ordered the needed paperwork. Reformation of the Chiefs’ Council The late days of Arcas left the chiefs’ council weak and without enough members to hold legitimacy, for that reason its powers were transferred to the folk council. Now that the Cottonwoods have reorganized themselves the Council of Chiefs’ will reform itself. Yazmorra Chief and representative of the Blackroots in the Chiefs’ Council, Bhodi Chief and representative of the Cottonwoods in the Chiefs’ Council, Tasdroul Chief and representative of the Windrock clan, Karl High Chief and representative of Hefrumm. Decreed by the folk Council -Signed High Chief Karl Blackroot-
  23. Workers’ Freedom Act The collectors of each caste are now able to own everything they gather or harvest. Caste quotas are now changed to a donation based system, where individual workers out of their own freewill will choose to help their community donate whatever they feel comfortable giving. A donation chest will be placed once every caste has built their HQ, until then caste members can give the donations directly to the Primarch of their caste or the High Chief. Either way, the Caste and Hefrumm will divide the donations in half between them.
