  1. [!] A missive from the Tribal Court of Hefrumm to Durin. "Durin, you have one stone day to inform us of your ability to attend your trial. Failure to do so will mean the case will be passed on to the Higher Courts of Urguan for trying to evade the law, showing you act in bad faith. - Chief Asketil Keeper of the Constitution of Hefrumm"
  2. Asketil Blackroot Shakes his head from his window "A dwed es net allowed en a guild meeting jest because 'e be a dwed. Ets en tha laws ef Urguan, thes lad es jest scared to go to trial."
  3. Chief Asketil Blackroot nods as he appears behind Sigrun "Aye, we can do that aftah. Tha law needs to be upkept ferst. Tha es 'efrumms wae."
  4. Chief Asketil Blackroot reads the message "As tha visions and omens foretolf. Tha purpleh lightning wes a warning ef Belka, tha visions ef tha frost creature bringing death, and tha blood star falling en tha north. Khorvad 'as started 'is advances ento thes continent, and tha dwed as keepers ef Yemekar's Balance shall march to protect et." Asketil would forward the message to the chiefs of Hefrumm and their allies.
  5. The Travels of Baldin “Ironside” Frostbeard through Kharvuur: Chapter on Yudora, The All Mother During my three years in Kharvuur I saw many things, things that Khorvad stole from the dwarven folk and witnessed paths former dwarven heroes took through this realm to return home. One of my findings in Kharvuur was Khorvad’s library of forbidden knowledge. A library that holds stolen artifacts and books that Khorvad plundered from our race, as trophies, or to hinder our duties as Keepers of Yemekar’s Balance. One of these books was the tales of Yudora, the first female dwarf and All Mother to all dwarves, whose history was for the most part lost. With this book and the work of Paragon Valen Grandaxe and Fimlin’s work on Aegian kings, we are able to see holistically who our All Mother was, why she is a worthy paragon, what she gave the dwedmar race, and what Khorvad tried to steal from us. It is established that one of the major crises of the dwarves was when Urguan, the father of all dwarves disappeared, and a power vacuum emerged. Those that did not try to usurp the power looked at the All Mother to take the place of her husband and rule. But she did not. Yudora understood that to rule like her husband one would need to like Urguan, one molded from scratch by Yemekar to be the embodiment of his balance, would be worthy of the crown. She knew the answer to the crisis but she wanted her children to figure it out for themselves. Maybe she placed the expectations too high for her children, or Khorvad’s corruption wasfogging their vision, but the children of Urguan did not stop squabbling. This forced Yudora to finally intervene. She did not ascend to the throne as some desperately desired, instead Yudora snatched the crown and exclaimed to all her children “Shame on ye! None o’ ye are fet teh fit teh walk in yer fathur’s footsteps!”. The All Mother, in fury, sealed herself and the crown in her palace and refused to come out, telling her children that she will only talk to one of them about the crown, and that until then they must handle things without being led. "Ye are naesheep, ye are dwedmar. Act like et if ye claim to be worthy of Urguan's crown!" Those were her last words before she entered her palace. The dwarves were ashamed, and afraid of losing their mother after having lost their father. After great debate and struggle, one dwarf was elected to represent the children of Urguan, and they were sent to speak to Yudora. After some time talking the dwarf and the mother came out. She proclaimed that this was the way the dwarves should act. Urguan was the indivisible will of Yemekar made manifest, hence the dwarven people are the collective will of Yemekar. No one dwarf is worthy to claim such a mantle but Urguan himself. "In teh way you elected one among ye teh meet with me, so too will ye make yer decisions. Only then will teh king of teh dwarves shall represent thes collective Will. That es teh difference between ah dwedmar king as opposed to a tyrant." After this declaration the dwarves once more gathered and through the process taught to them by their mother, Barradin was elected as King of the dwarves and given Yudora’s Hammer as a present by the All Mother. This new realization brought the dwarves closer to their nature as keepers and preservers of Yemekar’s balance, something Khorvad could not accept. He corrupted the Aengul Wyrvun, an ally and friend of Yudora who kept watch over the coldest of mountains to keep them safe for her children. Wyrvun was corrupted into Ondharch and turned against his dwarven allies, his first victim being Yudora herself. Yudora sacrificed herself to bind her essence to Wyrvun, to prevent the complete corruption of her former friend. By happenstance or by holy intent, when Barradin fought Ondharch he was able to expel Ondharch from the mortal realm(and many decades later Paragon Igor Ireheart with this same hammer would liberate Wyrvun from Ondharch fully). After the Deep Cold of Ondharch, that almost destroyed the dwarves, came the Age of Gold and then the Age of Iron. In these times the dwedmar still followed the command passed on to the by Yudora. It was not until the Blood Age that Khorvad was able to gain a grip on the dwedmar once more, due to Velkan Ironborn. Emperor Velkan betrayed the All Mother’s memory and teachings by gaining the throne by force and becoming the very tyrant Yudora warned a dwedmar should never be. Velkan’s descendants continued to tarnish her legacy. But the one that sought to completely destroy her teachings and her memory was Thorgarn Ironborn whose rule oversaw the great collapse, where the larger part of the dwarven knowledge was believed to be destroyed. However, the dark arts of the Ironborn were actually acting as a direct conduit with Khorvad, resulting in the dwarven knowledge destroyed by the Ironborn to be sent to him. It is clear that many souls and entities that dwell now in Kharvuur were once dwedmar, either old Ironborn turned into greater Inferi or sacrificed souls used to feed the forces of Khorvad. However, our lost knowledge and artifacts that are being kept hidden in Khorvad’s realm, will one day fall back into the hands of us dwarves, through rediscovery or through his annihilation.
  6. Asketil Blackroot, Chief of the Blackroots and Seer of Hefrumm, looks into the texts. He would make notes to seek out more information and see if there is any knowledge found in them that could help Da Seers Eron Hefruth better understand the Brathmordakin and the signs they place in creation. ((very nice post))
  7. Asketil Chief of the Blackroot clan, Seer of Hefrumm, and Prophet of Da Kirkja Dverga would laugh out loud from his hut "Tha canonist inquisition trembling at tha sight ef an order led by a lad tha takes tha name ef tha ferst dwed and claims to speak to Yemekar, basicalleh a rambling lunatic. Dwed might es indeed great, but a' never expected tha aneh random dwed could make tha canonists piss themselves. Despite being tha descendants ef man ye realleh ar lackin en manhood, guess we could make them a pair ef runic balls bat their bodeh would probableh reject them, wasting good ink with thes sillyness."
  8. Azketil Blackroot Seer of Hefrumm and Prophet of Belka of Da Kirkja Dverga reads the letter. He would chukle before placing the document into a box filled with other satirical records as he sighs. "Thes es why mi an mi folk 'ad to take time off frem our duties en 'efrumm to teach en tha capital. Seems like tha current Kirkja Dverga 'as in'erited a bunch ef work tha the previous clergeh failed to do, like educating tha beardlings. Poor missguided lads, ef onleh they wer given a propah education. Well, when they come back from their raids en tha 'umans we will be able to educate them. 'ope they do net get 'urt er kill themselves, loss ef dwed life es vereh tragec. Will see ef tha Council ef Prophets ef tha Kirkja Dverga to 'av tha church ef canon return these lads safe ef they are tu be captured."
  9. Message to Da Kirkja Dverga For centuries Hefrumm has lived in accordance with the Seer teachings and ways. The order gives its time and effort to the teaching of the faith, the history of our people, and the proper treatment of both our physical and metaphysical environment. This is a task the members of the Seer Order do to respect the traditions of their forefather/mothers. The death of a seer is always tragic, more so when the seer is one that has been in the order for decades, teaching generations of our kin. Qrue Grasswhistle was one of these deaths. His funeral was meant to commemorate his time as a seer and in line with the traditions of the seers as he wished on his deathbed. Indeed, Asketil’s could have controlled his outburst towards Alaric. However, Qrue and Asketil were alongside Bjor himself and Beorn as the eldest members of the order, and hence had an extremely high appreciation for each other. However, the lack of respect for the seer procedures and traditions were palpable. The comment by Alaric claiming the Seer order being part of the clergy and that the Seers should fall in line with the Clergy is a falsehood, and in poor taste during the funeral of one of its eldest members. For his part Asketil apologizes publicly for the outburst considering the emotional turbulence situation. Even under perceived disrespect, Seers must retain their composure so that they can serve as an example for the rest of the community. The Council of Seers thanks all that came to Qrue’s funeral and reiterates its position as an independent order. The Order has always allowed its members to form part of the clergy, that a seer is High Prophet, and two others are Prophets does not mean the Order of Seers is part of the clergy. We invite the Prophet of Dungrimm to reassess and retract his statements on the Seer order and its relationship with the clergy, for the sake of harmony between the different religious orders that all honor the Brathmordkin. -Signed by the Members of the Council of Seers-

  11. Keeper’s Records on the Tribal Courts decision over the case of Ursus Grandaxe assault allegations Facts of the case: Ursus Grandaxe killed Elmnorlum Grimsunder, a Blackroot beardling who stole from him. Ursus, trying to stop the thief, launched a fire ball towards the beardling. The fireball caused a stone to unhinge itself from the mountain tops leading it to fall crushing the beardling and killing him. Tribal Courts’ case of Prosecution: Ursus assaulted a forest dwarf in the land where Hefrumm’s law arguably applies according to the Constitution of Hefrumm. The Tribal Courts do not persecute Ursus on the grounds of Kinslaying or manslaughter as those are crimes currently beyond Hefrumm’s competences when it comes to trialing dwarves. The Court did persecute Ursus on the grounds of assault, a crime that happened the moment Ursus launched a magic spell towards the beardling with the intent to cause harm. Tribal Courts’ Ruling: The Tribal Courts ruled that Ursus Grandaxe was guilty of the crime of assault. As punishment he was to pay in service to Hefrumm for the damages caused. -Signed- Chief Asketil Blackroot, Keeper of Hefrumm
  12. Call for Ymir Ireheart to face the Tribal Courts of Hefrumm Last stone day the dwed Ymir of clan Ireheart was seen by the Hefrumm public and his own clan father and clan members assaulting the High Chief of Hefrumm. The High Chief was handing cheese to dwedmar around the village square when Ymir retaliated by tossing his axe at the High Chief giving him a non-lethal injury. Due to Ymir’s lack of mental cognition Hefrumm recognises this is not an act of attempted murder by Ymir, however, the crime is obvious and public. The rule of law in Hefrumm must be protected, and the symbols of Hefrumm must be respected. Due to this aforementioned situation, Ymir Ireheart is officially called forth to respond to the assault charges against Garedyn the Green, High Chief of Hefrumm. The accused can send a representative forth, or the clan father of his clan can decide to represent his clan member. Failure to be represented in the Tribal Courts will be deemed as an attempt to flee justice and will be a higher crime passed on the higher courts of Urguan. (Sunday 3PM EST - For changes or information contact Hefrumm leadership) -Declaration by the Tribal Courts of Hefrumm-
  13. Invitation to attend the funeral of the Ninth High Chief of Hefrumm The Ninth High Chief of Hefrumm, Qrue Grasswhistle, has passed away. His body has been prepared for his funeral. A funeral pyre will be lit at the top of the tallest mountain in the realm for his ashes to fertilize the whole lands and so his spirit can be witnessed being carried away by Belka to Dungrimm’s hall of Kaz’A’Dentrumm. Before the ceremony commences the Horn of Hefrumm will be blown 7 times to let each of the Brathmordakin, and any dwarf in the realm know the funeral is about to commence. The passing of a High Chief is an event of heavy consequences to the forest dwarves and any sort of disrespect will not be tolerated and can have serious consequences. All are welcome to assist the ceremony. However, those that do are obligated to partake in the seer ceremony for the burial. If you do not seek to participate, come after the burial to pay your personal respects. The Funeral will be held in the fifth stone day of this year, the horn of Hefrumm will inform all those attending that the funeral is going to start (Friday, 3:30EST). -Signed- Chiefs’ Council of Hefrumm, Folk’s Council of Hefrumm, and Council of Seers
  14. Asketil Blackroot meditates under his tree after his conversation with Qrue. He had not known him well, but Karl and Mao had, and their memories came to Asketil. A tear would fall down the cheek of the dwarven epiphyte. "Good bye brotah, yer services to yer forest dwarf kin will grant ye that 'ighest ef bids en tha 'alls ef Kaz'A'Dentrumm." Baldin Frostbeard hears of the news of Qrue's passing. The elderly dwarf ponders on his actions in the larger scale of the dwarven race. "A' 'igh chief died thes day...One ef tha good ones, one tha passed on the teachings ef Urguan Silverbeard and Bjor Cottonwood. 'appy to see ye pass away Qrue so ye can be praised fer yer deeds en tha 'alls ef tha Brathmordakin. May yer name remain imortalised in tha minds ef tha Hefrumm."
  15. [!] A murder of crows fly off from Hefrumm to all dwarven lands and settlements bearing the sigil of the Seers of Hefrumm. A bleeding star flew over Karosgrad, rumors speak of blood falling as a storm of rain from the sky. The continent itself suddenly went cold and snow fell all around mortal civilization. Under these circumstances the Council of Seers of Hefrumm met and discussed the omen. It was clear to the council. Belka has sent an omen through her realm to warn the descendants of an imbalance in creation, one that challenges Yemekar’s Balance. This was consolidated by the red lightning witnessed months back, another symbol of Belka. Rumors were also heard of great worms roaming the land, able to eat drakes. These worms seem strangely similar to the ones that overtook Athera in the year 1513 of the first age. Our youngest Seers, despite their training, shook in fear like all beardlings. Never had they witnessed Khorvad’s presence and the unbalance could be felt, death and suffering is coming. But do not fear, ships will be built to escape Khorvad’s rage for those unable to fight. However, the duty of the dwarves is to protect Yemekar’s Balance at all costs. Defending the continent is the duty of the dwarven race. For centuries the descendants have been on the backfoot on this war against the fallen Brathmordakin, this can be a chance to slow Khorvad’s process or lock him up once more. Celianorians also spoke of the reincarnation of Ibless walking the continent bearing a wooden mask. The presence of Khorvad’s most loyal servant surely means that he is planning to lay claim to these lands. The Council of Seers also remembered a previous omen we have received years ago. An omen where a snowman appeared with the eyes of Khorvad, bringing with him snow, blood, and death. The bloody star fell North and that is where we believe that Khorvad will appear. Hence, an expedition will head to the north in an expeditionary mission led by the Prophet of Belka. Khron’Hundmar being in the far north will need to be monitored so aid can be given if Khorvad is to lay siege to it. The Thanium they possess cannot fall to the enemy, and no dwarven settlement will be left undefended by the fist of the chosen folk of Yemekar. Meanwhile, in the south we recommend all settlements to use the protections of the Grand Kingdom. Clans, guilds, and organizations are advised to arm themselves to be ready for any possibility. The Chiefs’ Council, Council of Seers, and the High Chief call to any and all descendants to seek refuge in Hefrumm if they so need it. Only together will we be able to face the fallen Brahtmordakin. -Council of Seers- Asketil Blackroot, Seer of Hefrumm, Prophet of Belka Qrue, Seer of Hefrumm Garedyn the Green, Seer of Hefrumm, Prophet of Yemekar, High Prophet Tuzic Mossborn, Seer of Hefrumm, Prophet of Ogradhad
  16. On Belka’s dominion over the Stars Work of Asketil Blackroot, Seer of Hefrumm, and Prophet of Belka. [!] Depiction of Belka guiding sailors. Recently I had a discussion with the Prophet of Dungrimm. He said he never heard of Belka’s relation to the stars. I was surprised at first, but it should not be, many dwedmar have a slightly different interpretation of the Brathmordakin. This piece is in his honor, may the Brathmordakin guide him and allow him to continue to do his good works, and I hope it serves as an informative piece for anyone else. Belka is one of the Brathmordakin, created by Yemekar. Like all other Brathmordakin she holds dominion over a precera of domains: passion, beauty, travel, weather, the sea, etc. While these are generally agreed upon by anyone that walks the streets of any dwarven city worth its name, there are other dominions that are not generally known or are in dispute. The source of this dispute is the lack of awareness of different perspectives of the Brathmordakin between different dwarven clans. The domain we are here to discuss today is the dominion over stars. Any dwarven clan or group that has a culture of travel or sailing, domains generally attribute to Belka the dominion over the stars. After all it is the stars that guide them and hence the connection. It is sensible to believe this and not wrong. On the other hand, dwarven clans that are more sedentary, that do not rely as much on sailing and travel tend to see the stars as the domain of Grimdugan, the lord of darkness. This also makes sense, the stars happen to be in the dark sky, and those that fall into our plane hold ores and other materials attributed to Grimdugan. Really this is not a debate where one is right and the other is wrong. Both are realities based on the material surrounding and needs that Yemekar gave each group. Hence, for each group a different Brathmordakin is ruling the domain. In the same way that when a smith works on a sword they work in the domain of Yemekar, while if they are wielding it to defend their land they wield it in the domain of Dungrimm. However, as a ardent follower of Belka, a do think that this matter could serve as an inspiration for a great poem about Grimdugan and Belka, with the lord of darkness giving her part of his hoard as a sign of respect for her power and beauty, so that she can guide her worshippers through any road and any seas even in the darkest of nights. This is not a canonical work, unless the clergy decides to make it so. It is more of a socio-religious analysis of folk’s relation to a religious topic. One that can still teach about the faith in the process, after all knowledge by the blessings of Ongradhad is a holy thing.

  18. Clans of Hefrumm The Cottonwood Clan [Blackroot vassal] Despite not being an elder clan, a title only the Treebeards hold, the Cottonwoods are the founding clan of Hefrumm. For most of its history the clan was considered very primitive, since they mainly focused on subsistence hunting. This turned the members of the Cottonwoods into great hunter-gatherers. With time the Cottonwoods evolved a culinary culture that formed the base for most dishes and drinks consumed by the forest dwarves. The Cottonwoods tend to be easy going and open towards anyone that hunts or celebrates with them. They enjoy living life and try to avoid straining themselves. Since the rule of Chief Bhodi Cottonwood, the curse of the Wendigo fell upon the Cottonwood Clan. The remaining Cottonwoods often look back at their glory days of their clan. Their hunters remain eating the foods their forefathers taught the clan without creating any innovation, and await for the day that their fire will be reinvigorated. Origins and Appearance: The first written records of the Cottonwoods originate from Atlas. Originally a nomadic forest tribe, the Cottonwoods tend to have a very specific appearance; Olive skin and orange hair. Traditional Cottonwood clothing tends to be made from materials collected be it plant or animal pelts. Achievements: The Cottonwood clan was the founding clan of Hefrumm. The Cottonwood Village served as the building blocks of Hefrumm back in Atlas. This created the first political union of forest dwarves ever recorded in the history of the mortal races. The cottonwoods were also the first clan of forest dwarves to ever have Paragon from their clan thanks to the paragonhood of High Chief Bjor Cottonwood. The cottonwoods brought the forest dwarf tradition of druidism into Hefrumm. The Blackroot Clan The Blackroots are one of the oldest clans of Hefrumm. Originally the Blackroots were a branch of the Cottonwood clan, one more focused on spirituality rather than the simple hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Cottonwoods. This spiritual perspective led the Blackroots to see the body as secondary to their spirit. Due to this, Blackroots often try to exceed their limits both of body and mind. Their caste of Berserker warriors was formed trying to overcome the pain and limitations of the body through sheer will and traditional Blackroot remedies. Others became Seers who use substances to reach beyond their minds' capabilities. The Seers of the Blackroots are the eldest and most honored seers of Hefrumm allowing many blackroot seer traditions to overflow onto the larger Hefrumm Seers' culture. Despite their traditionalism in spirituality, the Blackroots are quite out of the box thinkers and are usually open to social change, aiming for the physical world to come into balance with the spiritual world. The clan gave Hefrumm multiple High Chiefs, during whose rule the culture, spirituality, and autonomy of Hefrumm has always been prioritized. Origin and Aperance: The Blackroots share blood with the Cottonwoods as well as the Grandaxes and Frostbeards. Due to this, traits found in those clans can also be found in the Blackroots. Traditional clothing for the blackroots tends to be made from pelts or bones in order to honor the fallen creatures they have killed, and be granted the spirit’s favor. Achivements: The Blackroot Clan through High Chief Karl Blackroot was the one to create the first constitution of Hefrumm, laying on paper its relationship to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Clan Blackroot led Hefrumm through the inferi invasion under the rule of Karl Blackroot. The Blackroots through High Chief Yazmora Blackroot was the first forest dwarf clan to reach the rank of Grand Queen of Urguan, through her marriage to the Grand King. During her tenure as Queen she remained in her more important position of High Chief. The Blackroots normalized the forest dwarf seer culture in Hefrumm, allowing for a unique religious practices among the forest dwarf clans. The Treebeard Clan The Treebeard are the oldest clan of the forest dwarves, being the progenitor of all other forest dwarf clans. The Treebeards hold a symbolic importance in the same way as the Cottonwoods. Treebeards are known for being academics and religious dwarves, being the link between the more traditional cave and mountain dwarves and the other forest dwarf clans. Culturally, the Treebeards do not have a shared identity entirely distinct from that of the other forest dwarves. In fact, their lack of a monolithic identity is what allowed all other forest dwarf clans to emerge from it. Origin and appearance: Treebeards are (like all forest dwarves) descendants of Gloin Treebeard son of Urguan Silverbeard (ancestor of all dwarves). Achievements: During the Blood Age the Treebeards allied themselves with the Mountain dwarf rebels to overthrow the Khorvadic Empire of the Ironborn. Clan Treebeard normalized druidic beliefs in forest dwarf culture, something that many of the clans that came after the Treebeards continued to do. The Mossborn Clan The youngest clan in the chiefs' council of Hefrumm, a lot of their history has been lost due to time due to several natural disasters that have struck the clan in ancient times, from plagues to droughts. These days the Mossborn have reformed themselves by seeking out lost individuals of the clan scattered through the realm, and they have reunited with their forest dwarf brothers in Hefrumm. This clan is known for their famed skills in metallurgy, a craft rarely practiced by forest dwarves. In terms of faith, the Mossborn are devout worshippers of the Brathmordkin, in particular favoring Yemekar The Forgefather and Anbella the Hearthmother. They see their green armor as both a way to honor their ancestors and as a way to worship both Yemekar and Anbella, since both their aspects are required for its creation. Though this by no means that they are only smiths, as Mossborn trains in and appreciates many different forms of crafting. Origin and appearance: The Mossborn originate from the bloodline of Grojak Mossrot, son of Gloin Treebeard, and the bloodline of Theodoric Grimgold, son of the Paragon Tungdil Goldhand. The Mossrot and Grimgold bloodlines coalesced into this clan, when the Grimgolds married with Mossrot islanders, who had fled the mainland to escape slavery by the Ironborn Empire. One can easily tell who is from the Mossborn clan by their striking green armor which they wear almost always, though this is not strictly enforced among them. Achievements: The Mossborn clan gave Hefrumm their first Grand Admiral of the dwarven navy through Garedyn the Green. The Mossborn have given Hefrumm their first Grand Steward The Mossborn gave the forest dwarves their seccond Grand Queen of Urguan, due to Ealisaid’s marriage to Bakir Ireheart. The Mossborn are also responsible for spreading a selfreliant smithing culture to Hefrumm. Clan Aavik A folk clan of Hefrumm originating from the Treebeards that ended up in the frozen tundras after the exile of Gloin. The Aavik, very much like the Cottonwood and other survivalist clans, are great hunters. Their diet is also balanced heavily with fish. One of the biggest cultural aspects that differentiate the Aavik from other forest dwarf clans is the role metal plays in their culture. The Aavik only use metals that originate from the stars. Appearance: Like most forest dwarves the Aavik have a more toned skin compared to other dwarves. They tend to wear clothes made from the pelts of the animals they have hunted. Alternative Groups Green Collective Despite not being a clan, the Green Collective serves as an organization within Hefrumm of much importance. The Green Collective is the order of the epiphytes and sporophytes of Hefrumm, one dedicated to the service of the tribunal the Brathmordakin that protect Anbella’s balance (Anbella, Dungrimm, Belka). They serve as keepers of Hefrumm’s oath to Anbella and nature. Origin and Apperance: Since epiphytes cannot reproduce, the ranks of the Green Collective come directly from the clans, usually the largest ones. The seers of Hefrumm have a ceremony to honor one’s path to become an epiphyte. Because dwarven epiphytes come from different forest dwarf clans their appearance tends to vary, however, if they merged with the same species of fae plant they would be made of similar materials. In the folks’ council the Green Collective has one extra vote in Hefrumm as a ceremonial way of honoring the organization. Achivements: Members of the Green collective have been able to reach the position of Chief in their respective clans, with some like Karl Blackroot achieving the position of High Chief of Hefrumm. Common Clans / Clanless dwarves Apart from being a confederation of forest dwarf clans, Hefrumm is also the home of all forest dwarves. Since many forest dwarves come from smaller social groups they lack any sense of clan and hence their identity is just based on their forest dwarfness. Some others do have a sense of clan however their clan was destroyed or almost wiped out due to the history of the forest dwarves. Both of these groups are respected in Hefrumm and due to them the Folk’s Council was formed so that they could also partake in the community of Hefrumm. Origin and Apperance: Common folk originate like all other forest dwarves from clan treebeard, some broke away from other clans, and some are from very small clans that do not reach the requirements to be in the Chiefs’ Council. Because of this the origins of the common folk of Hefrumm is varied, something that affects their appearance. A common forest dwarf from the swamp lands does not look similar to one of the frozen tundra, they are as varied as the larger forest dwarf clans. Achievements: Qrue was the first clanless forest dwarf to ever become High Chief of Hefrumm. [OOC] Join Hefrumm today! Here is our discord: https://discord.gg/8Fgtkdmmg8
  19. Abolition of the Blackcarrot Concordat and the Vassalization of the Cottonwood Clan 4th of the Amber cold of the 101st year of the Second Age This year we celebrated the 4th stone year of the founding of Hefrumm. It all started with a small Cottonwood Village in Atlas, that was part of the Confederation of Hammers. It decided to become its own entity, to welcome the forest dwarves that have roamed the mortal realms ever since the exile of Gloin Treebeard. Hefrumm is the first entity of its kind, never being seen before in dwarven history. For 225 years Hefrumm has withstood all sorts of crises and has served as a key player in the recreation of the new Grand Kingdom of Urguan alongside their comrades of the Confederation of Hammers’ and Grandaxes of Kal’Bogrin, who created Azgarumm. Hefrumm stands on the works of those forest dwarves that came before, most exemplary among them were those of the Cottonwood clan. Because of the service of Clan Cottonwood and sharing the same origins, Clan Blackroot accepted to vassalize Clan Cottonwood so that they may stay in the Chiefs’ Council. However, the anniversary of Hefrumm made me realize that the current version of the Cottonwood clan is not worthy to call itself the inheritors of Bjor’s legacy. During the leadership of the last Cottonwood Chief the clan died out, its culture did not develop in any way, and worst of all the Chief has been possessed multiple times by the wendigo spirit. As we know in Hefrumm possession by spirits comes from a failure of hunting with respect to Anbella’s Balance and towards the creatures one hunts. The Cottonwoods, being a clan that was back in the day based among other things around its hunting prowess, cannot be recognized in the current version of the clan. Because of this Clan Blackroot cannot recognise the current Cottonwood clan as a true representation of the beloved Cottonwood clan of Boldrumir, Bjor, Beorn, or any other Cottonwood chief. Hence, it is the decision of the Blackroot clan to end the vassalization of the Cottonwood clan. With the end of the vassalization, the Cottonwoods do not possess the necessary requirements to be part of the Chiefs’ Council and hence the clan returns to be solely part of the folk of Hefrumm. It is our deepest wish that the Cottonwoods return someday with the innovation they were known for, their friendly demeanor, and respect for Anbella’s realm. While this does not happen Clan Blackroot will continue to keep up the Cottonwood legacy that is inherited through Freya Cottonwood the mother of our founder. This abolition of the vassalization and the loss of position of the Cottonwood clan will only be canceled if the Cottonwoods elect a new Chief of their clan. One that will be an active presence in the village and will be able to guide the Cottonwood beardlings and returning members that wish to settle Hefrumm. If these demands are not met then the Blackroot clan cannot in good conscience keep in a position of power a chief that is no chief at all and that does not keep true to the Cottonwood customs, customs we Blackroot honor as they too are part of our heritage. Asketil Chief of the Blackroots, heir of Freya Cottonwood, Seer of Hefrumm, Prophet of Belka
