  1. "Ah, good. They've listened.", proclaimed Arelyn with a triumphant delight. "Let the will of Larihei be delivered, let the liberal filth be punished. A step in the right direction made at last."
  2. TO END STAGNANCY Issued on the 5th of the Deep Cold, 5 SA MALI’THILL, The history of our peoples is one of strife, yet also one of undeniable lustre. Be it during the days long past of the old Republic, in the age of Lucion Sullas and Kalenz Uradir, or the days of the Diarchy, in the renaissance brought by Dimaethor Visaj - there has been an absolute factor that breeds prosperity: competence. Competence transcends systems. Be it in a republic or in a diarchy, competence is the sole factor in the rise and fall of nations. COMPETENCE, is what I wish to deliver you, Mali’thill, your silent longing and my utmost passion. It pains me, truly, to see the liberalism that has poisoned our people in the recent days, the passivity that has gripped our enthusiasms and the impurity that lurks in the shadows. I also see the cracks that continue to divide our people, of conflict between diarchists and republicans, dragonkin and those opposed or liberals and those righteous, these cracks I intend to mend. I know the grievances that torment you in these troubled times, Mali’thill, and it is these grievances that I will cast away to the decadent filth from whence it came. You have witnessed firsthand that I am willing to do what must be done for preserving the sanctity of our blessed nation, and this is what I intend to continue, returning our nation to the prominence it once wielded. Make no mistake, I do not wish to simply harken back to earlier days without shrewd thought of our present. The institutions of the past, along with the leaders that were at its helm, all hosted their own shortcomings - blindly following their footsteps of the past is only a recipe for disaster. No, I intend to only embrace the best of what our forefathers once flourished, for a new path must be paved for our people, one that respects the traditions of the past, but also the circumstances of the present and our hopes for the future. Pragmatism and Purity shall be the two pillars upon which our divided and disgruntled people shall be united. Collaborating with the our most blessed Malaurir Rhenaer shall I see to the reinvigoration of our nation through swift and decisive action. Our military shall be strengthened through much needed reforms and consolidation. Our culture shall be enriched through the restoration of the opulence in our nation, through resplendent celebrations, grand projects, the Eternal College and the return of magic. Lastly, our purity shall be protected through the uprooting of liberalism, and seeing to the end of the Azdrazi question that only serves to fracture our people. The philosophies of Larihei must return to blessed Haelun'or, for the Elves of Silver must prosper. We must steer ourselves away from the vile regression to liberal tendencies that shall only put us at the pity of the lessers, I have seen this cycle far too many times, and thus do I intend to avert the crisis that looms purity and Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya. As our forefathers once said in times of hope, LOMIAN’ONN, from fragments, shall I end the stagnancy that restrains us from our greatness. LOMIAN’ONN, shall this Iyathir nominate herself for the position of Sohaer. - Arelyn Iyathir Ay'nae'leh thilln kae okare. Ay'Haelun'or kae iyathe. MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA
  3. "There is value in Elmalauriran to preserving tradition.", spoke Arelyn to no one in particular whilst she browsed the Sulii'ceru's missive in tranquil solitude, "Lest we have another predicament akin to Laethis, where purity is lost and traditions sundered."
  4. Liberalism : A pervading force of decadence, that which only compels impurity. UPROOTING LIBERALISM Issued on the 5th of the Deep Cold, 5 SA MALI’THILL OF KARINAH’SIOL, Stagnancy, insolence, passivity, three evils that slither among our indolent people and only bid us stray from our sanctified traditions. The vices that proliferate liberalism must cease to be, for they will only lead us to impurity, the antithesis of our blessed people. Yet it has come to my attention that the Council neglects the venomous words of the impure Eos Sinruil, who has scribed an essay on purity that only demands us forsake it. Bear witness, Mali’thill, to the liberal rhetoric below which so freely lingers in our midst. The extract is pasted below, a direct cut out from the essay so freely distributed with particularly abhorrent sections marked in red. Eos Sinruil preaches impurity and instills liberalism with his reprehensible musings. He clings to false credibility by insisting such malicious writings are reviewed by oem Malaurir, yet it is self-evident that no true Malaurir would endorse impurity. Only Mali'ata may romance lesser ilk, Only Mali'ata may neglect Eltalonnii’sae through homosexuality, and only Mali'ata may preach such abhorrent ideals. The purity of our people is no laughing matter, Eos Sinruil, it is an eternal pledge that distinguishes Mali’thill from Mali’ata, the legacy of Larihei upheld. When one abandons purity, they become Mali’ata, abominable. You threaten purity, Eos Sinruil, and for that… you shall find your own questioned, and recant your liberal beliefs. Heial’thilln, if you truly wish to remedy the stagnancy that afflicts Karinah’siol, I demand a trial so that this affront may be rectified, this unscrupulous behaviour purged. Show the people that you are one of action, and not passivity, Okariran. - Arelyn Iyathir
  5. An Iyathir frowns at the driven, but ineffectual arguments of the Telperion upon hearing and perusing the arguments in passing.
  6. Far away, upon hearing news of his friend's passing, Muriel sheds a singular tear of poignancy. "He was good, and now he is gone."
  7. Arelyn Iyathir sighed upon perusing the missive, disgruntled even, by the sudden turn of events - there was a flicker of a frown. "Shame I never even got to know this Sullas either, let's hope the other Maehr'indor does well in his stead."

  9. Quality lore, kudos to the chad lore writers that helped...
  10. A distant kinsman peruses the resignation alone in some sequestered chamber, donning a callous yet amused grin. "I do wonder, Celiasil. What fervent passions have compelled you stray from the Titan's grace... are they truly worth it?"
  11. Enchanter magic archetypes are always nice, but I'm unsure whether this is the right way to go about implementing one. It seems evident that the magic was taken into consideration first, before the Aengul, and I don't really see the point in writing an entire deity for the sake of legitimising a magic.
  12. A note, scribed in anomalous azure ink that gently glowed with arcanic energy, is dropped in the voting box. The writer's script gleamed a characteristic violet hue. THE BALLOT ((MC name: Johann__)) Name: Muriel Uradir Vote for Okarir'hiylun: ( XX ) Maeve Elibar'acal ( ) Aestenia Aevaris

    Stray Text

An erudite 'aheral came upon the anomalous parchment in the midst of his own ravings that spoke of Creation and terrible things beyond. He simply perused its cryptic musings with a feigned contentment, for unmistakable chills crawled and morbid curiosities swelled. Under his breath were words sparsely spoken within reverberant halls. "Eldritch knowledge, brine, yellow." "Yellow, quail before yellow." His tone wavered, he mused, pondered. He quailed.
  14. A former Maelunir smiled as he perused the missive, reminiscing his service during the fledging days of the Republic.
  15. Phil’s system of voidal connection is far more decisive in serving it’s purpose in that becoming a mage is a dedication one must invest in with its own, tangible consequences. Now this is not to say Tox’s system doesn’t do the same, but only to a conservative extent which doesn’t really do justice to acknowledging the side-effects of the Void, i.e. Voidal Weakness. I feel that the idea of voidal weakness as described in Phil’s voidal connection lore is also more congruous with the picture we already have in existing IRP narratives and perceptions regarding the Void, and the general consensus that to practise magic, you must sacrifice something in return – a clear picture of equivalent exchange we don’t necessarily see in the current lore. I completely agree with @CaesarTheFirst on the matter of Void magic declining into under-valued, “tool magic” as I like to call it, and restoring the idea that the void is inherently an entropic force that inflicts an irrevocable cost upon the user will be a step in the right direction to even hope to resolving this issue. Distinguish mages, and give Void magic the flavour it needs. Give me Phil or give me death.
  16. I share Z3m0s’ sentiments, and I feel a quantified mana system would simplify magic CRP to something more akin to the standardized mechanics we see in games or DnD – as much as it may alleviate powergaming issues, it’s not worth deviating from the authenticity of freefrom rp. Just my 2 cents.
  17. “Pervading, this nebulous band of Knights..”, uttered a masked ‘aheral at the wake of their departure, his narrowed eyes scrutinising the familiar uniforms they adorned from beneath his cowl. “They are more than they seem.”
