It’s not really up to players, it’s the admins who need to be convinced. Plenty of players want guns, but admins denied that outright after we, LT, pushed for it again.
I think it’s better for everyone if we went about this in a positive manor instead of relentlessly arguing back and forth. The players who don’t like fast travel may come off as a bunch of greedy bandits, but a handful of them have genuine concerns that should definitely be voiced and addressed when tackling this issue as a whole.
Personally, I’ve added a suggestion in the staff discord voicing my suggestion above, and if admins emote with an X on it, then that’s pretty much that and they won’t be swayed. Perhaps then we should resort to screeching on the forums to be heard.

I would be extremely interested in hearing about any roadside taverns that exist and are successful right now. The last I saw a “roadside tavern” was almost half a year ago, and even then, it was just outside of a city, within viewing distance.
Disregarding popularity, you’re being wildly unimaginative if you assume warp signs have to be implemented in one solid fashion that kills absolutely all travel rp. We wouldn’t need one giant warp sign in cloud temple, and honestly that’s something I’m against when discussing the implementation of fast travel.
Preferably, I’d enjoy a system that encourages travel more so than outright makes it obsolete. Place warps a hundred blocks away from cities, encourage people to go outside and walk a little bit, and then reward their brief journey with a warp that takes them a few hundred blocks away from their destination. These warps could have minor hubs around them, such as “roadside taverns”, that encourage roleplay to be done around them.
Warp hubs implemented in such away would generate far more roleplay than the current system we have, and a system that implements a standard warp sign. Bandits could still roam between warp points, and it would encourage cities to send guards regularly out on patrol between these warp points in order to keep the roads safe.
Have warps cost mina, perhaps even place an application system similar in a way to a charter application. Have players be able to host local events that can temporary disable warps, something similar to a raid or a heist, with cool downs and such.
There’s no reason why fast travel needs to be as easy as a single click. It can be fun, rewarding, and promote villainy and roleplay all in the same package, if done right. I truly feel that if the admins approached this issue with an open mind, something could be created that benefits all sides of this conversation as a whole, something that would benefit the server entirely for the greater good.

Not correct. Rp wasn’t negatively affected at all, and travel rp even experienced a large boost in activity because players could actually visit other settlements without wasting ten to fifteen minutes walking between them.
The warp signs at cloud temple did everything to prove the admins wrong when they insisted that road rp is good for the server. There is extremely little to no rp done on roads at all, and even bandits hover directly outside of cities and charters when they’re banditing.
Road rp sucks, it’s boring, and the lack of fast travels only encourage players to stay inside their safe zones and soul stone saved slots.

No I’m pretty sure people have always protested the removal of fast travel. After a year or two of having it gone, when roleplay was proven to be unaffected with their temporary return, people are upset now more than ever that admins are ignoring them.

Yeah, it’s just to show “hey, I have an olog app, I was approved to play this”. Usually for people who main ologs and khas and the like, i just have them copy and paste their **** from the last app because there’s obviously only so many times you can repeat the same bullshit over and over without losing your mind. Some LTs may hate that, some might not, that’s just how I do it.

Two years in staff and I got removed for not filling out a survey. You know, despite the fact I’m only available for half of the week since I work 12 hour shifts? But hey, I never got thanked for anything so I guess this is what I get right? Don’t apply for staff, it’s a waste of time and just shackles you to this rotting server.
