  1. Despite the world that had torn them apart, Lauritz Christiansen nevertheless greeted a man who he considered a friend into the Seven Skies.
  2. "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?" Harren was thrown into a fit of panic at that, quickly hurrying around the various rooms and chambers of Greyspine. Though, Adalia had never instructed him on what exactly he was looking for, and he simply ended up running straight into a door while he wasn't looking, promptly falling to the ground.
  3. It was then that a raven-haired man hummed a jovial tune, gaze peering out over a horizon of ocean waves crashing against each other. He released a quiet, contented sigh, as he pried his eyes away from that sea, instead turning to the redhead and their young girl. He brought a ring forth from his pocket, one of gold betwixt with obsidian, and presented it to her. "Nie more suffering." He spoke.
  4. AULIC COURT OF THE KINGDOM OF HANSETI-RUSKA REVIEW ON THE NOBILITY'S RIGHT TO PERSONAL GUARDS 4th of Jula and Piov, 367 ES Jovenaars Ms. Reza B. Gynsburg Mr. Lukas Rakoczy Lady Erika L. Kortrevich Mr. Lauritz F. Jensen Lady Annika A. Vyronov MAJORITY: Jensen, joined by Rakoczy and Kortevich CONCURRENCE: Gynsburg, Vyronov DISSENT: N/A Exposition Lord Harren A. Ruthern, on behalf of the Margrave of Greyspine, saw fit to refer the Aulic Court to review the Rights of the Nobility, specifically the section regarding the Nobility’s Right to maintain a personal guard of two armsmen: ● 603.07: A Haeseni Peer and their noble kin shall be entitled to retain two armsmen as personal guards; In particular, Lord Ruthern is referring to the usage of the word armsmen, which could be taken as a general term for a household guard, or as the rank of Armsman within the Haeseni Royal Army. Secondarily, Lord Ruthern inquires as to whether every individual that is considered a Haeseni Peer’s noble kin is entitled to two guards, or whether it is the Haeseni Peer’s noble kin as a whole that is entitled to two. Jovenaar Lauritz F. Jensen delivered the opinion of the court; While Section 603.07 of the Haurul Caezk does indeed refer to the term “armsmen”, no prior references to the Haeseni Royal Army exist in the Haurul Caezk, and it can therefore be assumed that the terms “armsmen” does not refer to the rank of Armsman, as such term is omitted from the lawcode as a whole. Additionally, Section 603.08 of the Haurul Caezk states: “A Haeseni Peer and their noble kin shall be entitled to request an armed escort from the Haeseni Royal Army to ensure safe travel.”, in contrast to 603.07, this section in particularly refers to the Haeseni Royal Army, which makes it further evident that the term “armsmen” does not refer to the rank within the Haeseni Royal Army, for otherwise such would have been explicitly stated within the Haurul Caezk. Jovenaar Reza B. Gynsburg in concurrence; The rights of nobility enumerated in the Haurul Caezk reserve their right to maintain two armed guardsmen. The term must be understood loosely, due to the conflict of jurisdiction between the nobility, the Office of the Marshal, and the sole authority of the Crown to govern the actions of the military. It is my opinion, then, that “armsmen” refers to an independent force hired at the discretion of the noble family to protect them. The term “armsmen” is such to permit them to carry weapons for the sole purpose of protecting the family under contract. It would be unconstitutional for a noble family to employ those ranked as “armsman” in the Haeseni Royal Army (HRA) because it violates the sovereign’s sole executive authority over the military. This would also violate current conventions that disqualify anyone sworn in the HRA to be recruited to other militant entities. Jovenaar Annika A. Vyronov in concurrence; While it is unanimously agreed by this Court that the terms “armsmen” simply refers to a personal household guard, and not the rank within the Haeseni Royal Army, it must be stressed that each individual Haeseni Peer and their kin as a whole are entitled to two of these personal guards. If it were to be two individually, this would practically be a breach of Section 217.02, which states: “No other organized military, militia or levy may be formed without the consent of the Crown.”, and additionally it would create an inequality and imbalance between the Haeseni Peers of the Realm, allowing these with larger households to maintain larger guards. It is so ordered.

  6. "Wow! Tittie is so smart... But niet as smart as me, right?" Harren inquired of Adalia as he read over the notes. @shay
  7. Franz read the missive from his vacation house in Yong Ping, having previously been in the process of burning various incenses, before finally having settled on the lavender one to be the right one for his bath. His mood was much cheerier than that of his usual apathetic demeanour, and he released a relaxed breath as he leaned back. "A walk of penance." He nodded to himself at that, before turning to his companion and tilting his head to the side. "Forgiveness must first come from within." He stated, in stark contrast to his otherwise grim philosophies on life. Nevertheless, he quirked a brow at her, inquiring for her thoughts. @marilka
  8. "WHERE ARE VY GOING?" screeched Harren, tripping and falling down the stairs as he attempted to follow.

  10. Another mirror was broken in Franz's chambers, such was so much of a common occurence by now that the courtiers paid it no mind, and already had a mirror ready in a storage room to replace it. He could hardly differenciate between the realm of the dead and the living anymore, so many people that once were living had transcended to the dead, but to him, he felt no difference. But he held no ill will towards his nephew for what he had done, nor towards anyone else who had let it happen. He had, after all, done nothing about it himself. And when prompted by Josefina as to why he did nothing, he couldn't come up with an answer. Though, perhaps there was one to find. Already from birth, he had been without a parent, and from then on his mother had gone into solitude, leaving him as the youngest of six, Nataliya being the oldest. She had naturally been the one to take care of all of her younger siblings. His aunt, Alexandria, had once told him that family was the only people that you could truly trust, the only ones that would always have his back. But when he was fifteen, Nataliya left. She picked such a false and hopeless pretense as love over her family, over those siblings she had watched over for years. Perhaps that was why he had done nothing.
  11. Letter to the Aulic Court, 366 ES Issued By HARREN A. RUTHERN On the 13th of Jula and Piov, 366 ES Va ve Wicaczjoest ag ve Jovenaar i Haense, The safety of the subjects of Haense is paramount, a large portion of which belong to the nobility of the Realm. As such, the nobles are granted certain privileges in the form of being able to have personal guards, however the law regarding that particular right is vague and confusing, and as a member of the nobility, I would appreciate it if the Aulic Court could clarify on the matter of: ● 603.07: A Haeseni Peer and their noble kin shall be entitled to retain two armsmen as personal guards; In regards to this section of the Haurul Caezk, the following questions are to be raised: Firstly, whether or not “armsmen” refers to the rank of Armsman within the Haeseni Royal Army, or if it instead refers to no particular rank of soldier, but rather just any person being arms. Secondly, whether “A Haeseni Peer and their noble kin” means that the Haeseni Peer and their noble kin as a whole are entitled to two armsmen as personal guards, or if all of them are entitled to two armsmen as personal guards each. The Aulic Court is thus requested to publish a legal opinion on this section of the Haurul Caezk. His Lordship, Harren Anastasyus var Ruthern.
  12. Franz was apathetic as always to his surroundings, nothing really bothered him anymore, and there was nothing that he was really particularly attentive to. It was only when Katerina sent him a letter that he even learned that she had left, it was then that he even noticed any sort of absence from her at all. He recalled a time that he had spoken to his aunt, Alexandria, in the woods. She had told him that family was the only thing that they could trust and rely on in this world. "You were so wrong, aedymamej..." He murmured to himself, twisting his eyes to stare at his own mirror reflection, "There is only yourself." He pointed his finger forward at that, "Nie one else." Another person gone, he was left only to wonder who would be next.
  13. "Adalia!" Harren exclaimed with teary eyes as he learned of Yuliya's death, "Badminton woman died." He murmured with a frown, dramatically turning to one of the books laid on his desk, Badminton, the Sport of Gentlemen - A Rules Handbook. He brought a hand up to wipe his tears, "Badminton woman... I will finish what vy started." @shay
  14. "Nie!" Harren exclaimed at Adalia, even admist the great pain that he had suffered to not only his dignity and pride, but his leg. He made his way out of the keep, and began running, for Godan knew that the boy would suffer no more embarassment today. "First to Karosgrad wins!"
  15. Nevermind Adalia's attempts to spare Harren from the embarassment of falling up the stairs, he instead seemed to panick as the de Astrea threw herself down the stairs, and instead attempted to hurry up the stairs with great haste, tripping once more and slamming his leg against the stairs.
  16. "To finish first, you first have to finish." Stated Harren wisely at that, before he fell up the stairs as Adalia beckoned him to hurry, which thankfully only gave him a concussion.
  17. Harren fetches his running shoes, before he proceeds to screech at Adalia. "There's a foot race! Yam going to win! Do vy want to go for a run?!" @shay
  18. Franz firmly believes that the only good reason to smoke is if you're doing it for a talent contest, and sincerely hopes Friedrich will reconsider his decision.
  19. Harren recites the entire history of Hanseti-Ruska to his mirror while Adalia is in the room, presumably to her dismay. "Are you proud of me?" He asked with a wide grin. @shay
  20. Franz had begun the trek throughout the Attenlund a few days, scouting out the land. Weary from the exhaustion of walking for days, he set up a camp by the side of a lake, "This Attenlund will be start of something new, I can feel it." He murmured to himself with a grin as he lay himself to sleep for the night.
  21. Once more, that same giddy and excitable courtier brings the brand new edition of the Hearsay to Franz, who at the time was occupying himself with a conjoining two pieces of wood together into a toy. He reads with the paper with little to no attention, if he even read it at all, and the courtier was shocked to see a lack of violent outburst from the Prince. Though, as the courtier departed, the sound of furniture crashing against the wall and shattering mirrors was heard from Franz's chambers.
  22. "It will be a lovely occasion!" Proclaims Franz, Grand Maer of Karosgrad.
  23. @GMRO @UnBaed "Also the Duchess of Helena is not common sow! I would never say that about her!" Adds Franz quickly, continuing to shake his fist, before he calmed down as his aunt arrived. "Oh, thank you, Alex." He offered his aunt a smile, before hurriedly folding his clothes, "And I must say again, cousin Maric, that the Duchess of Helena is not a common sow! Did you hear me? I've said it twice now! Don't slander her!"
  24. @GMRO @Xarkly @Sandman_Plays "What are you lot doing in my room?! Get out!" Barked Franz as he realised the sheer amount of people hiding within his chambers, assumedly they were all tabloid journalists. He shook his fist angrily, "Get out of my room!"
  25. The same giddy and excitable courtier that had delivered him the first edition once more knocked upon the door to Franz's chambers. He ceased his writing of the second Princess Leralina book, and instead took to reading. His fist balled into a tight fist as the Prince fumed, "The audacity of these attention whores, to drag my name through the dirt like that? They have no right! I do everything in my power to maintain myself as a dignified representative of the people, and in turn they chose to portray me as some pig that sleeps in the mud with whatever sow I can find?" As his ramblings become more and more incoherent, his fist trembled with rage, before it was thrusted into the nearest mirror, shattering pieces of glass all across the floor and cutting into his hand. He drew in a deep breath, before looking to the courtier, "All lies, of course," the only remaining sound the idle drips of blood onto the floor.
