As King Georg ascends to take the Crown, he seeks to form with him a new government, built upon new principles. Immense gratitude is extended towards those who have sat upon the Council of King Karl III, and to those who have chosen to continue upon King Georg’s Council.

The Aulic Council, as established herein, is the King’s Advisory Council, which shall be headed by the Lord Palatine, the only permanent member of the Council. All other positions within are summoned by their own merit by the Will of the Crown, under the day to day management of the Palatine. These positions which shall be summoned to the Aulic Council are done so with basis to the merit of the position, as well as the competency, loyalty, and perseverance of those who hold the aforementioned positions. Furthermore, new positions may be summoned to the Aulic Council by the Will of the Crown, and no position, except the Lord Palatine, is guaranteed a seat.

The King wishes to give insight into the Aulic Council, its positions and those who hold them, as well as the duties of these people. Therefore, this document is published to alleviate misconceptions of the government.

    THE CROWN

HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, GEORG SIGMUND, KING OF HANSETI AND RUSKA

    AS

    THE MONARCH

    _6ufXgold3-9G2KztlnpDTd_-xXCPeADdK1y5Fr8N3qP3lKittgdtUFGyz1QEVU2ES34hRB-gNc_tlBOOPy2qLArHvPnSibZacI8fBO_7-2FnQH48iTr4z_ys_iCaQuwXR5eB7JAC9gq7cB0NTJy4YA7sqkFMXS5yrx1E1VFTPINYWIEhgGpZWSxxG1QxABTvBd3E8C5V4rsINS0OiwhU62wHfuV0qNe9IuuEwa5CebMea4vgTBablhcD4IvUSQ9JGNHFXOrdWrcUphvGI8ATVRMJcyzIpFVRCnsEtWE7ppAXz2-hjy4e57Z5vLgDYcHbNakSAmwp2ms9ve7DB44Audr0MICkwNEIHPBBFpxJ4L1Jftvm0ueR4PjxJrg

Born as the eldest son to King Karl III and Queen Amadea of Susa, Georg grew up during a period of foreign tension and turmoil as his father carefully manoeuvred the cession of the Silver Isles from the Kingdom of Oren to the Dual Monarchy. Once stability had been returned to Almaris, he engaged in a prosperous childhood.

A friend to many during his youth, the King was mainly gripped by histories, politics, the arts, and chivalry. He penned alongside his friend, Aleksandr var Ruthern, a study on the Etiquette and Traditions of the Joust, and would be appointed Lord Speaker in 444 E.S. by his father per his own request, so that he may experience the Royal Duma and take into account these experiences for reforms during his reign.

A frequent traveller as well, the King finds great joy in witnessing other parts of the world, and therefore frequently during his time as Grand Prince accompanied foreign diplomats, especially to the Principality of Celia’nor.

A new page turns in the book of Haense as King Georg takes the burden of the Crown upon himself. The new King looks to both the future and the past, as he seeks to incorporate that which blessed our prior generations with that which may bless the coming generations. Reform is coming.

HER ROYAL MAJESTY, ESFIR AMELYA, QUEEN OF HAENSE

    AS

    THE CONSORT

    4Hcfe-QrsErhNhiA3OTyxdwiYF-gOro0fIRcnkCNYK9Ul_giJyumnT9UGoN3kXj4-0TqE0RsZp8GAGx49XzgDZgzjxoNHHj9bEOB6kzMQsgcCD3uPm4nWM0p12_OtmfTJZR27_UAIQak41mD0US33saPk_vu8jpILOMjyVKDFIpUpE7ZrFLyl6Ksy01Ebg9TP3O2rNj8J7sknA1kmFbQ6egoo56TqDpEFMD4ASCiDrUXMlPilsqZHLEKMfm3qYLDk7B9UQtNrU5yQhBI_WWyVHInm7GpbkV5HTceX0zRDxnvssVQv0g9oo_FaWIB3Rr5nmcjmPC1CmWmz57j9LDnkyTK1KxQlN4Lore25tFKauyMrwfkmpji1MlbFcXQ

Born as the eldest triplet of Count Nikolai of Jerovitz and Countess Esmée, and therefore their heir, she was raised for a future as the Countess of Jerovitz and leadership of one of Haense’s older nobility and more prominent Houses. She had been a close friend of King Georg during their childhood, which blossomed in their late teens, with the two being wed after an extensive courtship in 455 E.S.

Unlike most of her predecessors, the Queen found herself more taken with matters of diplomacy than of the Courts, and she worked diligently within the Office of the Aulic Envoy, where she was appointed as Aulic Envoy in 446 E.S. She now, however, turns her attention to caretaking a developing new concept of Royal Court, while still maintaining her interest in diplomacy.

    THE AULIC COUNCIL

    “Va Eyvize ve Krawn.”

    ‘To Advise the Crown.’

The Aulic Council (New Marian: EUYLIK TRELKA), or officially known as the AULIC COUNCIL AND PRIVY COUNCIL OF THE CROWN, shall be composed of the King’s the most trusted advisors, and heads of prominent institutions within the Realm, to be summoned to sit on the Council by will of the Crown. The Aulic Council holds authority over various matters of the Realm, historically it has held authority over the legislature, military, law, interior affairs, treasury, and foreign affairs, only second to the Authority of the Crown.

The guiding principles of King Georg is to create an Aulic Council which, in its nature is fluid, where no position is guaranteed to sit upon the Aulic Council, but rather summoned by the Will of the Crown, depending on the merit of the individual institution and its head. Therefore, none of the historical Aulic Council positions of Speaker, Treasurer, Envoy, etcetera, are not guaranteed a seat upon the Aulic Council by virtue of their position, but rather by their own merit.

As per tradition, the Aulic Councillors shall be distinguished by unique Bulavas forged using different materials to symbolise where their authority reaches in the Kingdom. The reign of King Petyr I saw the creation of the Lord Palatine, the only permanent member of the Aulic Council, and the forging of the Golden Bulava. Since then, various positions have come and gone during the flourishing Aulic Councils of Monarchs. Presented below are those who currently sit upon the Aulic Council of the reigning monarch, Georg.

King Karl III is dead. Long live King Georg. While the Kongzem remains in mourning for the late King Karl and Queen Amadea, the mechanisms of the Aulic Government must continue to function for the welfare of the Haeseni people. As has become tradition since the abdication of King Henrik II in 391 E.S., it is the will of the Crown - enacted by the Treasury - that the 3rd Krawn Exchange commence to consolidate the Royal Coffers and mint new coins.

By writ of the Crown, this Krawn Exchange calls upon all customers of the Golden Edvard Amador Bank who store their mina with the Bank in the form of Krawns to exchange their existing Krawns for newly-minted Krawns at the Bank. From now until the coronation of King Georg, it shall be possible to sell back the Krawns of Karl III’s reign to the Golden Edvard Amador Bank, where after the coronation of King Georg the newly minted Krawns of his reign will be released to the public.

    Spoiler

    [OOC SPOILER]

It’s that time of year folks - this is an important notice for those of you who use Krawns to store your mina with the Golden Crow Bank. As Haense has a new Nation Leader (and, consequently, new ownership of the Treasury), all current Krawns will have to be exchanged for new ones at the Bank.

This is a simple process. All you need to do is the following:

    1. Go to the Golden Crow Bank in Karosgrad’s main square

    2. Find the stalls labelled ‘EXCHANGE OLD KRAWNS HERE’

    3. Sell your Krawns back to the corresponding stall - note that if you’re Krawn is, for example, a 2nd Edition Gold Krawn, you have to sell this to the stall buying 2nd Edition Gold Krawns. You can’t sell a 2nd Edition to a stall buying 5th Editions, etc.

    4. New Krawns will be made available for purchase after the Coronation, which is going to be after the 21st. This is to give time for minting new coins, and for the Treasury to assess many Krawns it may be necessary to put into circulation.

THANK YOU TO @Xarkly FOR WRITING THIS POST, ALL TYPOS, PAST AND PRESENT, ARE HIS DOING.

    Preamble

For long has the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and the Principality of Celia’nor maintained respect and good relations between one another, though the recent history of the two states, and the ascent of King Georg to the Haeseni throne, accompanied by his close friendship with the Celia’norian people and Princess Valyris shall bring upon this relationship renewed strength and energy, tying together the states in grand prosperity amongst one another in the stage of the world.

A.) The signatories recognize the respective claims of governance, namely that Celia’nor has the right to govern all High Elves and that Haense has the right to govern all Highlanders.

III. The Signatories agree to engage in trade with each other, whether it be through monetary exchange or bartering. Additionally, each state shall in their respective Capitals make available one stall for use of the other state.

    VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK,

Following the untimely death of both Our father and mother, Our brother, Lord Palatine Marius of Markev, has seen fit to resign to from his position to grieve Our family’s loss, as well as to focus on governing the Silver Isles alongside our younger brother, Prince Nikolas of Greywyn. We understand the grief of our brother, as it is our own, and also that of the entire Kingdom, and We wish him godspeed in his future projects.

Thus, We find that it is duly important that We appoint a new Lord Palatine posthaste, to aid Us in the transition from the administration of the late King to Our own new administration, to be built upon the foundations of Our own principles of government, and to within the near future see great reform.

Due to his devotion to the Crown, both shown through vigorous work in the past and the present, as well as his energy and willingness, We deem fit to appoint Iosif Bishop Valwyck @Nolan_ as Lord Palatine of the Realm, to wield the Golden Bulava and in Our name. May God watch over him and bless him with a productive tenure in the Golden Office.

The ‘Veinir Bulava’, otherwise known in common as the ‘Bestowing of the Bulava’, will be held following Our coronation.

  6. I recall once a man…

The vineyard stretched as far as the eye could see, and only in the narrow distance could the landlord's manor be made, where the grapes were turned to wine. The gentle autumn sun of Ba’as bathed the young Prince, who was scarcely an adult, in a sombre light. With his basket in hand, he made his way from tree to tree, carefully picking their clusters of grapes and bringing them with him as he continued on.

The aged Rhenyari joined him then, despite their years of working together on the vineyard, Georg had never managed to learn his name, or at least it escaped him. “Eiso, affendi,” greeted the Bihar, and the elder returned a meek wave of the hand, and as the two made their way down the rows of trees, the elder spoke of the family which he had once had.

He described to him his oldest son, Yusuf, who had trained to become a soldier all of his life, though he later suffered an injury during a training exercise, which caused him to be a cripple for the remainder of his life. Having been unable to stand the thought of never being a proper soldier, Yusuf had taken his own life.

    Who told me that…

He then moved on to his two daughters, Darya and Dido, a pair of twins. The two had both been creatives, masters of expression, the elder deemed. Darya had pursued the quill and ink, writing a myriad of stories throughout her life, which was taken preemptively during a burglary of the manor she had managed to purchase for herself. Dido, however, had opened a confectionery, and married a wealthy venture capitalist who helped fund her, though he was eventually struck with an affliction of the mind, which caused him to murder his wife.

Then he brought up his youngest son, a beacon, he called him. Kasper. He had bounced with energy from a young age, though energy had quickly turned to illness, and before he had even reached the age of thirteen, Kasper had spent seven years sickly, and passed in what the aged Rhenyari described as the purest agony he had ever witnessed.

    The love for one's family…

He spoke of his wife, Esther, who he had met as a young man while peddling wares in a city bazaar. He said that he had immediately been taken with her beauty, and that he begged her night and day for two weeks before she finally accepted his proposal to go on a walk along the city river together. After that, he felt as though they had spent every moment together in bliss, but the pregnancy with Kasper had been a difficult one, and she never quite recovered from it, passing some weeks after.

Then we came to his father, the fine Damian. Damian had been a farmer throughout his entire life, and the aged Rhenyari had been the third of six children. His older brother, Hafez, had been the one to inherit their father. But he still fondly remembers his father, who had taught him everything he knew in life, and had encouraged him to pursue the path of music, which had been his passion in his youth. Damian, however, could not live forever, though he made it to a comfortable old age.

Is the greatest love there is.

But his mother, Zoe, were one he had been the closest with. She was the one who had taught him how to sing from a young age, the one who had threaded together all of his clothes throughout the years, the one who had encouraged him to pursue Esther, and she had been the first to visit once word had reached that his family had grown. Through his life, it was his mother who had been his rock, and the two had been inseparable as she reached old age. He had retired from music to be her caretaker until her last days, and she had died holding his hand.

Dusk had begun to fall over the duo, the sun settling comfortably behind the landlord’s manor. Georg grabbed his own basket, and hoisted up the elder’s as well, carrying the two grape-filled baskets with ease, as he made his way to manor with the older man in tow. “Haristo, Adefos, for your story.” The Prince stated in thanks as the two departed to their own chambers.

I realised all too late that he was right. I am sorry, Imma.

  7. The Grand Prince of Kusoraev, who had in the prior months taken to scouring around the continent of Almaris to buy Tuvmas presents for family and friends, heard rumours of the happenings among the servantry, and in great panick sought to ensure that his own presents had gone untouched, only to find them replaced by coal. He shook a skyward fist, "Damn you, Kimmitshtenaei!" He proclaimed, swearing vengeance.

    VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK,

On this day, the House of Ludovar is saddened to announce the tragic passing of their long-time Consort, Matyas of Alban. With many decades spent by the side of the Countess, as both an advisor and husband, as well as a father to their four children, the Consort passed following the wedding of the Countess and Consort’s eldest daughter, Emma.

The exact circumstances of the Count’s death are unknown. The House of Ludovar wishes to divulge that he had departed for Rickburg’s kitchens after the ceremony, where he was later found on the floor by a servant, covered in blood and flour, and scattered around him were shards of pottery. It is not known what happened, as the Consort was alive for but a brief period after the injury, and treatment was unable to save his life before he passed on.

The Count was much beloved to his wife and daughter, and the remainder of his family, and they hope that his ascension to the Seven Skies is peaceful. On this day, the House of Ludovar enters a prolonged period of mourning.
