Tybis de Ruyter nods as he leans forward slightly, folding his hands neatly as he looks to those in the room. “Once again, I am Tybis de Ruyter, newly elected Secretary of the Interior. I would like to thank you all for this oppurtunity to uphold the previous traditions of those who held this position before me. During my time as Lord Mayor, I learned much about the inner workings of our beloved capital and how to generate a bustling city. Many compliments have already been received thanks to the proposal made by Liveryman of the Bell Ward, Gustav Mane, and his ambitious project of the Gustavian Zoning Initiative. The committee proposals and guilds have proven to keep our denizens involved for centuries. Therefore, I will be writing up a structure for a more planted guild setting within the capital. To be successful, we must be productive. Spending our afternoons and evenings in the tavern every night simply will not do. I wish to encourage a more active scene with the Crownlands, and instating a formalized guild structure will no doubt keep our denizens motivated.”
“There is much to be done and Helena’s infrastructure must be stabilized.” Tybis leans back in his chair as he concludes his statement.
