  1. Hello there! Soviet here. So, I'm imagining character creation can be quite hard for a new applicant, so I'm here, after the few months of exprecience (on the server) and 4 years of Table top RPG to make a lil' guide on character creation! I hope you enjoy. The first step, is to picture your character in your mind. Lets say you want a Human Rogue (Even though classes aren't a thing in LotC). The first thing, which is kinda crucial, is to think of a name. I can't count the number of times I went on to create a character, let it be LotC or RPG, I finished up my character and I had ZERO idea as what to name him/her. A name needs to be filled with personality and, well, creativity, you're best off naming your character out of your mind, though inspiration is allowed, the AT encourages NOT to use famous/known/fictional character/people's names as your character, for reasons which are said in the Application Format here . After you've got a good, original and creative name, its time to think on a small backstory, 2 - 3 paragraphs long, as said in the application format, so that you can give your character depth. I personally recommend going, for your first character, an original, creative, emotion-full backstory describing greatly your character, let it be through events or decisions. You can later further that backstory via a persona card made (mainly) on google doc. If you so do wish to make one, a cool format posted by Eternal can be seen here (make sure to not claim Eternal's as your own. @EternalSaturn?) After that backstory, picture how your character looks like, initially, from the point your backstory ends, and picture it on a skin. Think on how you can find/make/request it. Try to be as close as possible to your character in your skin, people appreciate when people manage to do that! Roleplay is always better when the immersion is full and plane. After all that is set up, think about his/her personality. You can base off yourself, like I did with my first character, or you can create a totaly different character, with cool feats (not unrealistic ones) and other things. I remember an orc of mine, who was mentally disabled and liked to chew on his axe. Try being as creative or even more! Well, that sums up all my experience on character creation. I hope the formating isn't utterly disgusting, but yea! I hope I helped anyone new who's reading this, or even gave some older players some enlightenment. Thanks for reading, Soviet ouuuut~!

So basically just call an ET and make the sacrifice. Do you need to be a Shaman to do this?
  4. Feedback is highly appreciated! I'll start working on those changes and add a lil' bit of lore to them. I thought the name was too threatning aswell, and I've got some other things in mind. Their state would be more spectral (I'll add that), I'll add some traits and background to it. Thank you @Zarsies.
  5. I know I'm gonna get the undead community triggered |:) Edit: Gotta admit I'm in love with my idea, though.
  6. Dreadfiends ~====~ Introduction: The Dreadfiend are undead created by almost the same way a wraith is created, though the ritual is different. Dreadfiends share a feature with Gravens: semi-corporeality. That gives the Dreadfiends little to no interaction with the world, leaving them in an endless limbo. What makes them different from ghosts, gravens and other specters then? Well, dreadfiends at the core are like ghostly ghouls, though not braindead and taking the form of a humanoid, independant of their past race and they tend to walk in all fours. Appearance: Dreadfiends are grey or black creatures with large teeth like a tiger's, yet bigger. Their body shows signs of clear lack of life-force, leaving them in an eternal hunger, regardless of they being fed or not. Their hands have no fingers, they are enormous five inches long claws and their feet the same, making them efficient in combat without weapons. (Couldn't upload reference image, sorry) Abilities: The Dreadfiends have a single unique abilitie, which is the ability to drain the life-force out of others with their foul touch, feeding them without the need of actually eating. Though that would be really hard for a Dreadfiend, since they'd have the same weaknesses as a Graven woud, but we'll get to that later on. Weakness: Dreadfiends, like Gravens, are highly damaged by steel and aurum alike, also highly weak to fire. Exposing them to any kind of fire will purge them from the mortal plane, forcing the Dreadfiends to either succumb back to the state of death or make them imensely weak. Creation: Dreadfiends are created by a necromancer. The ritual is simple: The Dreadfiend, in the beginning a normal man or woman, gets drained out of his/her life-force. Though that seems a normal necromantic ritual, the man/woman would get drained to a point they were almost bone and ash, the necromancer leaving them in that state. Then a mystic takes place and stabs the almost bone and ash person in the chest area with a ectoplasm-imbued blade, leaving them in a state of hunt for life-force like a ghoul, though with the same cognitive abilities, strategies, personality and mindset a normal man/woman would have. After all that, the Dreadfiend is made, and it begins to take the form descripted in the Appearance section. Cons: -CA creature created by a necromancer. -Unable to interact with objects the descendants are able to. -Exposure to extreme heat or any sort of fire makes them useless or kills them. - Weakness to normal steel swords, even Iron sometimes. - If not fed daily, the Dreadfiend will become insane. - When insane, a Dreadfiend will take no other option but to attack. - They can't wear armor. - They can't wield weapons. - They can't procriate in ANY WAY. - Like a Ghoul, Dreadfiends have soul shadows, leaving them unable to practice magic. - A stab to the chest kills it. Pros: - They can drain life-force to feed themselves just by the touch. - Great speed, matching that of a dark elf's. - Claws as sharp as a sword. - Ability to hear and 'sniff' are greatly improved. OOC LINE: Well, here goes nothing. I tried, people, I did! I hope this isn't lore-breaking or anything, but I thought it was a good idea. Feel free to leave feedback that WILL be taken in. Hope you enjoy, if not, well, feel free to leave why in the comment section. Thank you~! -Soviet, Top Notch Memer.
  7. First decent lore sub. I see coming from you, though its what @Trenchist said, you don't really need a Lore Sub. for a big-ass tiger. I'll +1 this, though.

  9. The Cavallers de la Creu --<~~~~~>-- 'Gloren, et honorem in via.' The Cavallers act mainly around Karslburg and its region, alongside Ponce. Ranks: Knight-Commander: Highest in command amongst the Cavallers, he's adressed with respect by his men (If any). 13. The Children of the Sea Coat-of-arms of the Children of the Sea. ''The seas give us strenght, my brothers, let us honour that strenght'' -Rowan von Mardstadt when creating the Children of the Sea. Origins. The Children of the Sea was born midst time of Rebellion in the Orenian Empire, with a proud northman taking up the tabard and declaring himself General of an empty military organisation. Rowan von Mardstadt was his name. Patriarch of an empty, peasant House, husband nor friend to no-one. A bastard of sorts. A no-one wanting to rise to power. Purpose: The coat-of-arms of the Children of the Sea and the organisation itself serves more as bannermen and levy of House Mardstadt. They answer to any with Von Mardstadt in their name, let it be a child or a grown man. The Children of the Sea exist to that and only that purpose: to serve House Mardstadt and to bear the White Shark of Mardstadt. Ranks: General-Commander: The leader of the Children, the only man or woman able to take upon that post has to be a Mardstadt. He takes upon the task of leading and organisating the levy. General: Held by those with the most prestige within the levy, any levyman can take upon the rank of General until one decides to resign or if one happens to pass away. The rank of General is awarded most commonly to those who have fought many battles with the Shark tabbard. Colonel: The Colonel is the second in command alongside the General. He participates in training and organises duels to train the soldiers. Much like the General, one must've fought many battles to take such rank, or achieved many achievments or medals. Master Sergeant: The Master Sergeants (more than 1) take upon the duty of organising the levymen into, lets say, a proper line while in training aswell as leading in combat when a Colonel, General or General-commander are not present. Sergeant: The Sergeant has the same duties as the Master Sergeant, the only difference being that the Sergeant only effects does duties when the Master Sergeant is either not present or debilitated in any way. Man-at-Arms: Making the bulk of the levy, these soldiers are the front lines of the Shark Levy, partaking in trainings, wars, skirmishes and sieges, they hold no special position whatsoever. Footman-at-Arms: The most recently recruited within the Levy, these soldiers have yet to partake in any training or have not been oathed into the Levy by Rowan von Mardstadt. They've yet to learn even the ranks of the Levy. Application: IGN: Do you have skype?(Feel free to PM me IG or in the forums): TS(Don't have to)?: Why do you wish to join the Children?: Do you swear loyalty to House Mardstadt?: RP Name: Age: Race: Home: Uniform: http://imgur.com/a/5PPaB? Edits: -Removed alliance status. The Mardstadt house and the levy are allied to the Coalition. -Changed the current motto to not be a ******.
