We have since moved to a new location in a more secure area. It's a bit colder here though. The cold really does make you appreciate a nice fire. Meeting the Gnomes ~The gnomish hamlet of Tumbetal~ We have reconnected with our distant relatives, the Gnomes, upon realizing they live somewhere near our warren! We visited their turnip patch as well, such a delightful area! Who knew that so many gnomes still existed in one place! I thought they'd nearly gone extinct after Dunwen! Barter Update -Honey's value in the warren has decreased substantially as honey production increases above zero. Mead-makers rejoice! -Fish becomes a new staple food due to the lack of other food sources (besides some berries and a bit of grain). The value of all other farm goods in the warren has increased substantially due to a desire to eat things other than fish. -The Next GOLD? Could FLOWERS be the biggest investment of this century? There's tons of them, they grow really quickly, and nobody really needs a lot of them, but just think about how COOL it would be if that wasn't the case??!!? That's why you should invest in flowers. This has nothing to do with my recent flower acquisitions or a desire to make them worth more. Attack of the bad halflings It is rumored that EVIL halflings have been attacking the warren! Barter Update ~A new halfling in the village~ -Milk increases in barter value from two wheat bundles per bucket to four, raising the value of cheese products in turn. -Potatoes crash down to two potatoes per bundle of wheat! I, Isabelle Applebrook, have become the new Thain of Amberdell! Meanwhile, the old Sheriff position has been claimed again by Hazel, making them the new Sheriff of Amberdell despite being an anarchist who refuses to enforce laws! May this new leadership (minus the unfortunately anarchistic sheriff) lead to a time of prosperity and joy for us weefolks! Strange holes around village \ ~A strange hole by the wheelbarrow~ Strange holes leading into the tunnel system underneath the village have opened up across the village. Be careful when walking around in the village, or else you might fall through and wind up in an old tunnel somewhere! Hopefully the holes get patched up soon! Barter Update ~A new halfling in Amberdell inspects his supplies~ ~Carrot value increases due to demand for new enlarged and giant carrot varieties. ~Honey value increase as demand for mead ticks upwards with new mead varieties being introduced to the village. Domestic honey production remains stagnant at zero. ~Sugar value increases from one potato per sugar lump to two potatoes per sugar lump as pumpkin pie becomes a new staple. ~Wheat regains one-to-one barter parity with potatoes, reversing a long-time trend of increasing potato value. ~Melon value crashes dramatically as it's one good trait of not rotting is now known to be irrelevant. Melons are now essentially garbage and melon speculators are all bankrupt. Constant Big-Folk appearances leads to worries ~An oversized individual visits Amberdell~ The number of big people in the village has been steadily increasing! Some worry that all of these new big-people visiting are increasing crime. Many things have gone missing from people's burrows. There have even been reports of violence caused by the sudden increase in big folks 'round the village! Time will tell if these trends continue.
