What’s your Minecraft account name?: gumshoeismygod
How old are you?: 17
What timezone are you in?: EST (UTC -5)
Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes
Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes
What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The first point under your mission statement for players, which is "To remember that roleplay isn’t about winning or losing, but about storytelling. Allow roleplay to flourish, and act as a builder of an overall story.". People often forget that there are winners and losers in roleplay as there are in real life. For every time you climb up the ladder, you'll get knocked down. That's what makes it fun!
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): No
How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Well, I'm involved in a beta test for another RP server, and a lot of the people there said they also played on here, so I decided to check it out.
Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A
Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes
Definitions
What is roleplaying?: Acting as a persona or character, and living out their life as they would.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information learned outside of roleplay in roleplay. (Ex. Learning that you are going to be assassinated in a group OOC skype chat and then having the would-be assassin arrested)
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is performing impossible or improbable feats in roleplay, often with little opportunity for others to respond. (Such as *slices off your head in one swipe of my axe* or something)

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Shamas was born in Al-Wakrah on the Isles of Vailor to Aliya bint-Amanullah and Fawaz ibn-Bilah. He remembers little from Vailor, and was quite young when the descendants fled to Axios. His father (Fawaz) took up working was a lumberjack in the south-western region of the Sultanate of Haria. While their family originally followed the teachings of Iman al-Rashidun, they lived near the Orenian exclaves south of Haria, exposing them to Church of the Canon. Fawaz eventually converted, and their proximity away from much of Harian society made it so the family could generally live in peace. Shamas grew up with very little, and the family eked out a meager existence together in relative isolation, only making trips to the city when their small garden couldn't supply them with food. Shamas received little in the way of meaningful education, and only served to perform duties around the house. Though his father was a lumberjack, he took great interest in the work of his mother, who was responsible for maintaining the garden. In fact, he dreamed of leaving his families home in the woods to find a wife and make his own way as a farmer. However, as time churned onward, so too did his love of his life in his families cabin. His father talked of building a second cabin for him and whatever maiden he brought back, and let him vastly expand the garden as well, and sell his wares at the market. He couldn't have been happier in such a state of blissful ignorance.
He was 27 when his mother passed on from this world to the next. Fawaz found her passed out in the forest outside of their home, her face a sickening blue green as venom pumped through her veins. A serpent, a spider, an unassuming plant, Shamas and his father would never know, but his mother passed away that evening, convulsing in her bed. Though Shamas took it hard, he moved on with the help of his father. However, unbeknownst to him, his father was not taking it well. At night he would sneak off to Al'Khaleed to drink and gamble, slowly racking up a nasty reputation as a loudmouthed indebted drunkard. Shamas was oblivious to this destructive behavior, as he was to wrapped up in his own sadness. It was only four weeks after Aliya passed that Fawaz would join her. It was late at night, and the sticky hair of the Grand Harvest seemed to muffle the shouting going on in the alley behind the bar. Fawaz, in his drunkenness, had been slandering the wife of a local noble, whom Fawaz also owed a good deal of money to. Little is known about the altercation that followed, but Fawaz was found dead the next day, his blood coating the walls of the alley from multiple stab wounds. Shamas was slammed into a stupor that took months to return from. The tragic deaths of the only two people he had ever been close to pushed him into deep depression. He mindlessly worked away at the cabin, eking out a meager existence, but after all these years he was doing it alone.
Over tine he made peace with the deaths of his parents. He continued to work, but began taking careful notice of the actions of the Holy Orenian Empire. While he was not exactly fond of some of the brutish actions of Orcs, he couldn't help but be marginally concerned by the Orenian military activity against them on the island of Asul. With so much free time to contemplate on his hands, he became increasingly disillusioned with his own country. He did not follow the majority of religion, and for decades his family had only been lightly involved in Harian society. He became concerned with the prospect of conflict with the Orenians, because not only would he be forced to fight believers in his own religion, he would be forced to fight for a country he felt very little connection to. Over time, his desire to leave Haria grew, until finally he made a decision. He boarded a boat for the Holy Orenian Empire, and was off to begin a new life in Johannesburg. He wasn't sure where this new life would take him, or honestly how well he would make it in this new society, but he was willing to try.
Note: If there are any historical/lore inconsistencies in my story I would really appreciate it if whoever reviews this could point them out. There was a lot to take in with the wiki and all the forum threads, so I want to make sure that I understood what I read.
