From the chambers of a seaside port resides a flaxen-haired gentleman, who combs through an array of papers he had received from Sedan's local messenger. The Brotherhood's Report on the Existence of Darkspawn in Celia’nor After reading the report, he calls over his shoulder to the man that accompanied him from the opposite end of the library. "Seems Celia'nor is under public fire." An unseen, "Oh?" echoed from around a corner. "There's been a confrontion involving the legality of the blood testing of their citizens by non-celia'norite authority. They demand change to a loophole in their codex, which inadvertently permits the existence of darkspawn within their walls." He pauses, considering the paper before continuing. "... And it' a shame. They've always been kind to me during my visits. Plenty of fascinating people I've seen there, and little trouble to be concerned with. If you ask me, the publisher of this paper criminalizes themselves as well. They admit to undermining the authority of a sovereign entity, and have the gall to further criticize their laws and policies." He folds the paper, gently sliding it to the corner of the table. I still think it should be considered that AH is a great resource for building materials and food. If it comes to a point where these things become more of a grievance than they are an RP incentive (which, lets be honest, most people do not regard mechanical hunger or building blocks as RP enhancers) I don't think it'd hurt to offer some form of restricted AH that only offers those two categories, or at the very least, easier access to building materials since resource gathering on this map is so abhorrent. RP items and books should be totally disjointed imo

something refreshing but familiar. i understand the effort the 8.0 builders went through to accomplish this, but what we currently have is not reflective of that by no means is it a bad build, but it's outlandish and familiar, and the actual layout is unnecessarily dramatic and overblown. a signature "cloud temple" palette is sandstone pillars, the pools of life and death, and even the immersion behind the "you begin to feel, you begin to see, you begin to etc etc" signs like what we had in earlier maps. those things tell a story. we don't have any of that in the current CT, and comparing it to a hypixel lobby isn't far off the mark. you can do something new and interesting without deterring from what we've grown used to for the past 10 years i'm also a strong believer that CT should not be used as a spot for casual server RP any more than it is a place for new players to learn how to play. i think it's very unhealthy to normalize using it as a safe-zone for server politics or other narratives have a potential for conflict, but every once in a while we hear situations where people will abuse this mechanic for that purpose, and to a less harmful degree, people engaging in casual RP there. RP should go to the player-ran communities and the rest of the interactable map, not a staff-ran, magically protected safe-zone 🤷♂️

exactly this road RP is a dead dream. when RP is centralized in nation capitals and settlements, we should be allowing players the easiest tools to access that RP, not force it down players' throats

I still remember when I got you banned in 2018 for egregrious metagaming and OOC toxicity. I've seen how you treat people even today. You're as sour and horrible as you were back then. You have not changed or grown as a person, and I doubt that you ever will.

i really feel like this rule could be fixed with a simple clarification to only pertain to things such as execution posts or victory posts, while excluding harmless events, streams, or flavor images. the biggest difference here is that one is often done in malice wherein players "PK shame" another no matter how good or bad the build-up was of the RP, and the other is almost always harmless

nah this isn't that bad. it encourages quality over half-baked responses that only serve as snide OOC remarks protected under the premise of being "just RP." if people actually have something meaningful to comment under a forum post, 3 sentences is easy as cake if anything i was hoping we'd see more emphasis on specifically targeting those kinds of responses, such as people asking rhetorical questions or their character making obciously OOC-inserted comments, which I think was the intent of this rule but i'm unsure i was also hoping we'd see something that completely prohibits the concept of posting screenshots in your RP posts for the sake of OOC validity. seeing bunnylord #112 post an imgur album of all his pvp kills under an enemy propaganda post to "disprove" their claims, or seeing nation politician warrior post screenshots of roleplay for the sole purpose of proving that something did or didn't happen is extremely distasteful behavior that i hope can be addressed before it gets normalized, if it isn't normalized already. it shouldn't be able to happen even with OOC consent, because there's no reason to do it in the first place
