  1. Yeah, that's why i said that we have too many constructs, but at least the most of the Atronachs do not look like robots, they have clear pieces of high fantasy like elements working as hands, plus they are made with cinjuration, which explains why they work and can think. In the case of golems they are huge pieces of stone, that does not look like a robot. And Phil i said steampunk because in that style is very common see things made with gears, plus i do not see very logical to be able to create a functional mind just with a bit of alchemy, especially when the most of the constructs need something like a soul to work.
  2. The lore is excellent as always, but i do not feel that i want to see actual robots in Lotc, it just seems too steampunk and we already have plently of constructs and i think it would be an advance too big for the tech of the server which from my point of view should remain very basic.
  3. Thank you, I forgot to link the lore of the Light Stones, also I added that they grow every elven week and limited their size. Fixed.
  4. I fixed that, thank you for the input.
  5. Clamour Noctis Far away on the South of Atlas where the light of the sun doesn't dare to illuminate, a particular kind of tree of dark bark and white glowing leaves can be found and its name is Clamour Noctis, it illuminates the path of the travellers that are unfortunate enough to get lost in the snowy tundra and gives hope to the ghosts of the deceased. The Clamor Noctis are tight trees of dark bark, silver wood and white leaves that have the capability to absorb the light of the moon through their leaves and turn it into energy that allows it to continue living, but their leaves can only absorb a part of it, releasing small portions of light and lunar energy in the process, giving it an ethereal aesthetic and illuminating the surroundings of the tree. The lunar energy that is freed from their leaves when they decompose the light of the moon is akin to the one used by the lunar infusions of the Ascended, which can be used to enhance and create artifacts if it is channeled correctly. Also, ghosts would feel really comfortable around these trees, due to the lunar energy giving them a sensation of calm and fulfillment that they couldn't experience in any other place besides the Archaengul’s realm, tempting them to don't leave the surroundings of the tree. The wood of the Clamour Noctis has the special capability to store great amounts of holy energy, being one of the best materials to be infused with ember infusion but very limited by their lack of use in battle. The natives of the regions where they grow tell different stories regarding the origin of these fantastic trees that glow during the dark night while the moon is present. The most religious ones tell that it was a gift the creator to aid the travelers during their expeditions on the dark lands that only face the light of the sun during a few hours every year, others think that they just adapted to the best way possible to such inhospitable landscapes, finally those more experienced on the matter think that it could have some kind of relation to the Tree of Life or the Soulstream itself, but while there isn't proof of such it's clear that it has some sort of association with the Archaengul. But the truth is that the South of Atlas is very related to the Soulstream due to the fact that the moon is always visible there, which causes that when a group of mortals die there a small breach could be opened into the Archaengul’s realm, sending the souls to the soulstream and turning all the trees around it into Clamour Noctis, in a process similar to the one that is needed to create a psychopomp, which would explain all their different sizes and shapes that these trees could have. Though for some reason this hasn't happened in several decades and probably won't happen again. Redlines: -They would only grow naturally on the snowy south of Atlas, and they would be rather rare. -To create artifacts with the lunar energy that a Clamour Noctics provides you will need a substantial amount of trees and enough knowledge in ascended magic to be able to make them, also a MArt would be needed. -Any infusion made with the wood of a Clamour Noctis would store the double of holy energy than a normal ideogram. -Ghosts would feel comfortable near Clamour Noctis, wanting to remain near them. Awakened Clamour Noctis A Clamour Noctis could be infused by an Ascended with the help of a Light Stone and an special ideogram, the process would be lengthy and would change the color and composition of the leaves, giving them an amber hue and making them release small portions of golden soulfire which would be invoked with the help of the deific energy contained within the Light Stone, the ideogram and the lunar energy that is released by the tree itself. A Clamour Noctis that is infused receives the name of Awakened Clamour Noctis, and the process in which it is infused would be called Ritual of Awakening, this last one would change the way in which the tree lives, making it absorb the lunar energy instead of release it so it could be used to fuel the soulfire that would be invoked through the leaves, yet this has consequences because due to the stress that the tree needs to handle it would slowly start to die, the bark would slowly become darker and after forty years it would completely die. The soulfire that is invoked by an Awakened Clamour Noctis would be rather weak, similar to the one of a neophyte Ascended (T1) which would only irritate the tissues of beings of corrupted soul and give them an uncomfortable sensation when they are within their surroundings. Besides the effect that it would have on dark beings, this peculiar soulfire would recharge the Light Stone that was used for the “Ritual of Awakening” which would sustain its life, if such Light Stone is removed or shattered the tree would die if it is not successfully replaced within an elven week. The deific energy that is released would be more than what is needed to recharge their Light Stone, which would cause the apparition of other Light Stones under its trunk and between the roots. Redlines: -An Awakened Clamour Noctis would die after 40 years of being “awakened”. -To “awaken” a Clamour Noctis you would need to know ember infusion and own a Light Stone to energize the tree initially, after that it wouldn't need to be recharged, due to the fact that the tree would recharge it itself, however, the removal of the Light Stone at any point would imply the destruction of the Light Stone and kill the tree if another stone is not placed again within an elven week. -Each Awakened Clamour Noctis would have the possibility to generate a Light Stone under its trunk or roots every eñven week, but it depends on plenty of variables and mostly of luck. Before attempt to harvest one of these stones you will need to roll, anything below 10 out of 20 would mean that there isn't any Light Stone, while anything between 10 and 14 would mean that it is broken when you try to remove it, any number between 15 and 19 would indicate that it would be removed successfully and finally 20 out of 20 would indicate that there is two Light Stones instead of one, which ones would be appropriately subtracted. -The maximum size of the Light Stones produced by an Awakened Clamour Noctis would be similar to an average fist. -The Light Stones produced by the Awakened Clamour Noctis would only work to energize artifacts created with Ascended Magic. -The soulfire that is freed from its leaves wouldn't work to fuel any kind of artifact, due to it being so weak and just meant as an aesthetic characteristic. -Any being that is affected by soulfire would feel discomfort while standing on the surroundings of the tree, even feeling an irritation on their tissues if they touch it directly. Some extra clarifications: -A Clamour Noctis would give birth to a new sapling every elven week. The first sapling that someone plants would need LT approval, but then they would be free to self-manage their plantation as long as they respect the limit of 1 new tree per each elven week and they grow them in an area of 50 blocks around the original one. 10. Mh... tbh i like, but it seemed way better before, a construct with an Ascended infused weapon would do the same job than these constructs, the Ascended already use that kind of weapons in the most of the battles and tbh i expected some unseen ability, the holy touch of the first submission was very interesting, also give some different properties to lunar fire could make it more unique and generate more roleplay.
  11. I expected you being black... i am kinda disappointed

  14. Ashen Aquila The Gladiators of the sky. ( Credits to Kaustuv Chatterjee ) “They attacked at midnight, their reddish feathers were glowing with the light of the moon, quickly they fell upon our animals, not even fire stopped their flight ” Habitat: Mountains and volcanoes Size: Around 4,3 feet of height and 12 feet of wingspan. Diet: The Ashen Aquilas are exclusively carnivorous, once they reach their adulthood they won't eat anything that they haven't hunted by themselves, something that makes keep them in captivity almost impossible. Temperament: Usually aggressive unless tamed. Brief summary of the creature: The Ashen Aquila is specie of big bird of prey that shares characteristics with Kites and Vultures. They could be found in the continent of Atlas at great heights. Their plumage would be completely crimson if it were not for their white head and breast, also a group of black feathers would be at each edge of the wings, giving it a very aesthetic look when they fly. They tend to live around forty years and could reach a maximum size of 4’3 feet of height and 12 feet of wingspan, their shape and soft weight makes them one of the fastest species of birds. There are two kinds of Ashen Aquilas, the Royals, which are usually bigger and smarter than the average, they can easily identified because they have a group of golden feathers on the forehead, while the Common Ashen Aquilas are smaller and tend to follow the Royals. Characteristic: Crimson Feathers: The feathers of the Ashen Aquilas can stand really high temperatures for short periods of time, while it is absorbing the heat they would glow in orange and finally burning away if it is exposed for a long time, turning into ashes, if the heat is not enough to burn them they would recover its original color and slowly free the heat, this process would take a few months and would keep the Ashen Aquilas warm during their expeditions to cold lands. Behaviour: The Ashen Aquilas live in large groups leaded by at least one or two male Royals, a group of females of the same kind and an unlimited amount of Commons, which are the ones that leave the nests to hunt. The Ashen Aquilas are very aggressive with other creatures that could a treat for them or a good adversary, even with members of other groups of their same specie, they usually fight in groups and won't leave the battlefield until they kill their enemy or they die in the attempt. The male Royals are very territorial and would only allow another adult male Royal in their group, usually this one being one of their heir as leader. They live in very high places like the peak of the mountains where they can find other birds of prey to hunt or near volcanoes, where they can recharge the heat of their feathers. Once they are tamed their minds would change drastically, specially the Royal ones since they are more intelligent, they would learn to recognize their name and don't attack their owner, but this depends of the personality of the owner and how they train them. If trained with patience and kindness they would be really good partners and smart, but if trained with brutality they would become even more aggressive than when they were wild. Taming: There are four ways to tame an Ashen Aquila, the first would be get an egg and keep it warm until it is born, the second would be fight against them and humiliate it to break their feral personally, but it would only work with the Royals and take several months or even years, the third way would already have a Royal tamed, it would make the process much easier because the others would mimic it, and the fourth way is use magical artifacts or Druidism. The eggs of the Royals would have golden circles all around the egg. To tame a Royal with the second option you will need to put them in a cage with their wings tied and feed them with meat directly to their peak and being sure that it eats it, this would put their minds in shock and make them remember when their mothers fed them, which would create a special connection with their new owner in the mind of the Ashen Aquila. Abilities in Combat: The Ashen Aquilas use their sharp peaks and they claws to fight, usually flying in circles around their enemy and aiming their attacks towards the eyes or neck. They are rather strong so if they catch a part of the body they would try to use their wings to take down their adversary or even raise them from the ground if it is a small animal. But clearly their strength are the groupal attacks, a group of three Ashen Aquilas could kill a young uruk. Breeding: The reproduction of Ashen Aquilas is very rare and requires at least one Royal for it to be successful, while the intercourse between two Commons would fail in almost all the cases. The next table would explain it: Male Royal + Female Royal= 20% Royal, 50% Common, 30% Failure. Female Royal + Male Common= 70% Common, 30% Failure. Both Common= 10% Common, 90% Failure. (This will be defined by a /roll 10, and following the table, for example to get a Royal you will need to get a 9 or 10 if you used two royals to breed it, being 1, 2 and 3 failure.)Taming: There are four ways to tame an Ashen Aquila, the first would be get an egg and keep it warm until it is born, the second would be fight against them and humiliate it to break their feral personally, but it would only work with the Royals and take several months or even years, the third way would already have a Royal tamed, it would make the process much easier because the others would mimic it, and the fourth way is use magical artifacts or Druidism. Origin: Their origin is unknown but they were discovered when small groups of descendants started to inhabit the lands of Atlas and invade their territory with cities and castles, this also caused a reduction in the amount of food available, which forced them to move to lower lands and start to attack groups of descendants, many stories were told about these gorgeous birds attacking groups of merchants or killing dozens of cows in the farms. Though this new way of life caused them to spread in different groups and increase in number, though it didn't last long, because the descendants started to hunt them, specially when they noticed the properties of their feathers, soon the population of Ashen Aquilas started to disappear, and the few that were left were constantly fighting with each other. Actually they are almost extinct, only one group remains and they have few members. Weaknesses: They are weak against mundane weapons and almost all the kinds of magic but fire evocation. LM Approval Required: Yes Redlines: -A Common Ashen Aquila wouldn't live more than 40 years, only a royal one would live past that point. And they reach their adult stage at the age of 4 years, when they can start to breed. -They would be very hard to tame, without the help of a magical item or having it from an egg that could take a few years, but once tame a Royal, the others would follow him and be easier to tame. -Only one wild group can exist per continent, because if another group is created they would enter in war and don't stop until one is completely exterminated. -The feathers would resist direct fire for only 3 emotes before they burn away, if the fire vanish the feathers would stop glowing and after 2 emotes they would come back to their original color and be warm to the touch. -They need to hunt their own food, they would prefer to die of starvation than eat already dead animals. -The breeding must be realized following the system already stated and using rolls, where the lower rolls would mean failure. -The Ashen Aquilas can’t be mounted. -The wild Ashen Aquilas can only be roleplayed by members of the Event Team or Lore Team. And the feathers must be signed by a member of either those teams if they are used for crafting.
  15. Remove that many weakness just a bit after it is acccepted seems a bit weird from my point of view, soecially if that helped to balance them, but i wish you good luck.
  16. Mh... i find weird the Groupal Shifting, why would you be able to use the magic on another person just because they are willing? I know it is an OOC rule, but it doesnt make much sense in roleplay, what kind of change would experiment the body of a person that is willing to shifted to allow them to do such? Also i expected more fluff, but good addition after all. :)
  17. There is a risk, you would only need a rogue Ascended and blood of the Ascended that you want to weaken, it even says that you could disconnect the bearer of the Living Flame. Its a huge +1 from me.
  18. -A kha and a feral after a savage night -circa 2017. I love the idea. +1
  19. Mhhh i dont know how to feel about this, how many emotes would be needed? 4? For an attack that can most likely 1 hit you... mhh. Yes, lighting evo can 1 hit you the in the most of the cases and with the same amount of emotes, but it doest destroy things, from my point of view the evocations are meant to be basic magics and thats why they can be self taught , if you make them more complex and powerful that would change, plus it needs to keep a balance with the other evocations. But i wont give you a +1 nor -1 because i dont play voidal mages, i just try to explain my thoughts regarding this piece of lore.
  20. Each magic has their own ways of disconnection, you just need to give it to a few trustworthy persons and you wont have a problem, that is something that you regulate IC, not with an application.
