A lot of the people complaining have never interacted personally with the core Empire — the benefit of this imperium being that you aren’t required to. I have been given the option to, and could be very evil in that I could make the whole world mechanically feel choke-holded as one realm, and generally deplete and ruin the freedom of others to roleplay in their little small territories. I won’t, and I haven’t, as that isn’t the sort of roleplay my character or my Empire wishes to foster. I believe the fear of expansion is the main cause of the Empire’s woes. It growing too big, and it being done too fast without a fight. For the most part, I have not grasped these nation leaders by the throat and told them to come under me. Some people HAVE out of fear, some HAVE just because they believe being under the Empire is a good thing. The server isn’t dying bruvs — we’re hitting 260-270 players actively. If ever the day comes that the Empire becomes stale, you won’t have to await its downfall, those within it will probably tear me apart alongside the Empire (heh they can try). We’ve hit month 7 of its existence and I’m only a week or two into my reign. Thank you.
