The Human realm too has been preoccupied with the conflict, with much of its populace dedicating their mon for the purposes of supplying their troops. War stifled business, and my merchant’s heart grew heavy with boredom. Now, the Great Chibi War has concluded with a decisive victory for the heroic Marines of Kurai-Kuni and its Imperial Benefactors. It is thus that I am excited and proud to announce the FIRST AUCTION beneath the Heavenly Storm. I, Danzen of the Ugokoyama Clan, welcome any and all aspiring merchants, adventurers and noblemen to the capital of Yorumachi to partake. The event shall be held within the Haganeki Neko and its Kabuki Theatre. There, guests may purchase drinks and engage in games of chance with Ugokoyama staff. Every Kami’s Hour, the theme of the auction shall shift between one of three categories, and conclude with the third. The categories are as follows: Magical Bobbles This constitutes any item bearing an enchantment, regardless of origin. This includes Void, Blood Magic, and/or miscellaneous enchantments. The Ugokoyama Clan reserves the right to refuse any submission that could potentially afflict other beings with plagues or curses. Knick-Knacks, Trophies, and Relics This constitutes any item devoid of “material” value. Most often, these manifest as prizes won from fallen beasts, or which bear historical value. Miscellaneous items and Art Vouchers shall also fall into this category. Rare Materials This constitutes any item composed of rare materials bearing potent effects. Such might include Carbarum, Boomsteel, Mithuril, etcetera. The Ugokoyama Clan reserves the right to refuse any item if it is deemed “worthless” following appraisal. SHOULD YOU WISH TO OFFER YOUR OWN ITEM to the bidding, you shall be permitted to do so, and shall be guaranteed a 100% cut of the item’s final bid. One must simply locate Ugokoyama Danzen, show the item they wish to place at auction for the purposes of appraisal and cataloguing, and pay an entry fee of 100 mon (waved if a Shimin of Kurai-Kuni). You shall also indicate whether you wish to open your item for a “trade” when placed on the stage, to be accepted at your own discretion. On the day of the auction, you must attend and surrender your offered item to the designated category’s donation chest, so that the audience may appraise it for themselves. In the event you are absent, or have not notified Danzen of requiring a proxy, the item shall be removed from the catalogue. Should you desire anonymity with the posting, this shall be assured. BIDDING RULES 1. Refrain from slandering relics in any volume louder than a whisper. 2. Refrain from issuing false bids. 3. Refrain from minging and rough-housing. 4. There's a few we need to update, i.e., Jophiael. Admittedly, Old Ones are a bit of a no-touch because they deviate from the norm of aengudaemons rather significantly. For example, The BLOOD is hard to categorize as a Daemon because "Blood" isn't really a domain an Aengudaemon can control if that makes sense. Further, The Sword says that it was the Daemon of Innovation . . . but Garumdir is the Daemon of Innovation. At least for ME, I will be personally trying to tackle Old Ones when we get to starting location lore and trying to find them a relevant spot that keeps their importance, even if that means they wont necessarily be "Aengudaemons" in the traditional sense. That said, please do not take my words as some doomsaying, I will of course be deliberating with figures such as Cam, Zarsies and Squak to actually make a coherent explanation there when the time comes, and nothing I have alluded to is final or canon.

Functionally, it is not possible without heavy-handed OMNI and policing to ensure that all weapons are properly degraded during combat. That said, it is not as if your sword is guaranteed to explode anyways because it is iron durability rather than steel. Durability only functionally comes into play in one of two ways. 1) Event runners need a frame of reference, and 2) Lore specifies interaction with durability levels. With regards to #1, ET will sometimes go "if your sword isn't steel strength it gets melted by the sprayed acid" and that can give an indicator as to how players should react. If you are using Azhl, Gold, Anorum or something else that is weaker than steel, it would begin to melt in the scenario. With regards to #2, some lores like Carbarum describe that they can bend/dent metals at the level of steel or lower, and can even shatter it on horseback. When we get into the nitty gritty of durability, it becomes a significant hassle to hold everyone accountable. I promise you that there are dozens of players who use frost salts with FRESH HP every time a CRP starts, rather than accounting for previous hits. In an ideal world this could be tracked easier, but ST only becomes aware of stuff if it is reported. This is outdated, but may be relevant.

I think you’re giving too much power to animal rpers, Tentoa. It could just be that learning the recipe necessitates the knowledge of klones given that it is the same section as Klones. It would require the PK clause be implemented still (going forward, people could forget the recipe), while also letting people enjoy tawkin still.

It can BOTH be true that 1) treelord lore is bad and inconsistently ruled on, and 2) that players who agreed to the CA's red lines and functions should face the consequences of failing to adhere to mechanics. If the timing is "vague", then the criteria defaults upon a ruling by management. It can be clarified going forward, though vagueness should not be a means to weasel out of excuse and lazy RP. Sucks to have all of your RP go up in smoke; it may be worth speaking with the Haelun'or people about similar circumstances, and how they learned to move on.
