Thesis on the Role of the Holy Sirs in War between Canonists
Eryane replied to Borin's topic in Ecclesiastical Theses
“Encouraging Canonists to spill blood. ‘And if this means the Holy Sirs must take up arms against fellow Canonists to do so, so be it.’ Disgusting.” The Empress shook her head, hoping that no further Canonist blood would be split - although, she found herself disheartened by the truth of these hopes when glancing at the thesis once again. “My people do not deserve such cruelty. Perhaps this man would be a wise one, a good man, if he didn’t attempt to incentivize violence.” -
“Ave Orenia,” said Empress Anastasia I as she received word of the upcoming parade, and proceeded to inform the entirety of the Aster Council. @Kholibrii@tilly@sunflowerist@Spicii
-
Amidst many papers that she sifted through and drafted upon, one missive appeared amongst them all; something a courier had dropped off but a saint’s hour ago. Seeing the Princess’s signature, a smile did form upon Empress Anastasia’s features. “Thank goodness for her return.”
-
Empress Anastasia frowns as she looks at the last letter sent to her from Lady Vasileia with regards of her friendship. She then begins to pen a letter of her own.
-
Empress Anastasia I nodded approvingly to the missive after signing it, "I hope that these new settlers, and the Countess of Halstaig, can bring life back into New Esbec."
-
From the imperial dais as the court henceforth proceeded after Emperor Philip III's announcement - crowned once more; once as consort, now as regnant at her husband's side - Anastasia I stands with pride for the empire she so devoutly served and loved.

^^ I can attest that this is a great group of people with a really fun RP culture, 10/10 would recommend I help lead Oren & could show you around there if you did want to give that a shot, although it’s a much larger community and I know that can be extremely daunting for a lot of people.
-
Is there any particular type of RP you enjoy, or any particular race (elf, human, dwarf) that you wanna play? That’ll help me with a better response for what I’d recommend

Eryane replied to Burnsider's topic in The Kingdom of Oren
“The Sarkozys are going insane! What in all of Almaris is going on!” An old woman, who may or may not have been a Sarkozy at some point, tells a watermelon. -
AUDITIONS FOR ‘TO THE END’ As presented by the Princess Helen Theatre Troupe ROLES AVAILABLE Philip I, Holy Orenian Emperor - The sixth emperor of the Fifth Empire in his mid-twenties. In his final days, one of the most impacting decisions in Orenian history is made - the destruction of Johannesburg. He is stalwart in his belief that the empire shall not fall to the Coalition, and is widely known as a stubborn, defiant man who greatly believes in his own capabilities and the strength of the empire. Dark brown hair, grey eyes. Prince Peter, Duke of Mardon - The uncle to Philip I and a confidant of the emperor in his mid to late thirties. The esteemed captain of the Nauzica Brigade and the powerful Duke of Mardon. He is a thin, shifty man who, though appearing soldierly enough, has difficulty looking people straight in the eye. Brown hair, grey eyes. Princess Charlotte Sophia of Alstion - The sister of Emperor Philip I and Princess Imperial of the Holy Orenian Empire in her early twenties. A well-educated woman with a gentle heart, who is married to the traitorous Archduke John d’Amaury of Lorraine and is caught between two sides of the war. Through her marriage, she has become a timid, quieted woman who desires the best for her family. Brown hair, grey eyes. Sir Walter Marshall - Originally a commoner in the capital city of Johannesburg, yet rose to gentry as a former member of the Nauzica Brigade. He is a high ranking officer in the Legion and a Knight of the Empire in his mid to late forties. Known to be devoutly loyal to the empire and quietly competent in his actions. Dark brown hair, brown eyes. Sir Maric Vimmark - The aged Grand Knight of the Empire and the veteran of the campaigns of John III, approximately in his fifties. Known to be honorable, but is a logical, straightforward man above all else. Brown hair, blue eyes. ~ Anyone may audition, regardless of the recommended age as listed for each character. The script is available for those who wish to practice beforehand, or to gather insight on the play itself: Script. Private auditions may be arranged if absolutely necessary, upon contacting either Lady Amaliya Ruthern, or the Empress Anastasya, by letter. "Marrying an elf was the least controversial thing she could do! Come on, Adeline! We were rooting for you to be a bit more chaotic!" An old woman, who most definitely had no relation to the 'Adeline Sarkozy' in question commented to someone at her side. "At least she's making things a bit interesting, good on her. Shaking things up a little." The woman grumbled as she realized that she was, again, talking to a watermelon who she thought had been a person.

The Curses of Half-breeds - A Sarkozy Sabotage
Eryane replied to fetty bridgers's topic in The Kingdom of Oren
Some old woman, in a far off land (or perhaps not too far at all) grumbles. “Dammit, Franz! The kids are acting up again! You see this? Adeline’s gone off and-” She frowns, however, realizing that Franz was not around anymore and she was yelling at a watermelon on her kitchen counter.- 8 replies

“Valiant as ever,” Empress Anastasya remarked as she was informed of the news from her chambers. “And our strength shall continue onwards in this war. Undoubtedly so.” As she glanced over the list of strong men and women who were honored for their efforts during the fight, she nearly spat out her wine in surprise at the sight of the Provins girl, Anastasie Thérèse.

THE AGREEMENT OF EBONWOOD 11th of Horen’s Calling, 1853 “And They Go out, and Malin is lieutenant to Godfrey” (Auspice 2:14) In the time of Exalted Godfrey, who so conquered the globe, there have been Elves in the Empire of man - and the union of these descendant peoples in cooperation has served as an example of what prosperity and progress can be had between their kind. For this reason, the Imperial Crown declares that the Ebonwood Principatus is hereby established as a vassal territory of the Holy Orenian Empire within the territory of the Vale of Arentine henceforth known as the 'Ebonwood', fully encompassing all of the forested land, and the downward slope of those mountains to the forests, under the purview and authority of the Princeps of Ebonwood, as a sanctuary for all Elves and Non-humans of the Empire. ARTICLE I - LAND & GOVERNMENT The Vassalage of The Ebonwood Principatus is established under the rule of a single Elven Princep, who shall retain a Princely peerage and stylized “His Serene Highness'' who is pledged as a direct vassal to the Crown of the Holy Orenian Empire and entrusted on His behalf as His senior representative of the Imperial Crown, acting fully on his behalf without equal within the Ebonwood. His Serene Highness shall have a permanent place on the Council of State, to serve as the eminent advisor to the Crown on all things related to Elven matters within and beyond His Imperial Majesty's realm. Lastly, the Principatus shall have a single guaranteed seat in the Imperial Diet. Either as a grandee of an Elven Lord appointed to the diet by the Imperial Crownor a representative to the Diet as selected by the Principatus. ARTICLE II - HONORIFICS & GOVERNANCE His Serene Highness, the Princep of Ebonwood, is entitled to the privilege of bestowing honorific, non-inheritable titles of Elven Lord or Elven Lady to residents of his lands. Any who desire peerage must appeal to the Imperial Crown for such beyond their honorary title. The Princep of Ebonwood is authorized to create those instruments of government and offices , to include the creation of its own Council, ‘The Ethereal Council’. The Princeps may accept settlements and communities who are predominantly non-human to live within the Ebonwood. They may tax them, provide them land, draft from them militia, authorize their constructions, and require obligations of them as necessary. This document shall serve as the letters patent for the Princep and their legally elected successor(s) who shall assume this peerage. If the Principatus is ever sent into dissolution, its title dissolves with it. The Princeps of Ebonwood is a non-hereditary title created for the Principatus, whose successor shall be chosen by the Ethereal Council of The Ebonwood Principatus. ARTICLE III - MILITARY Following the conclusion of the Tripartite conflict, The Princep of Ebonwood is authorized to draft, enlist, and stand up their own forces necessary for the protection of their lands. The War Office shall have ultimate oversight of all Imperial Military forces, coordinating directly with the Principatus Government for the employment of its military when necessary to do so. In times of war, the Ebonwood military force shall report to the Senior Imperial military officer’s command within the ISA reserve until such time as they are dismissed by the War Office. The Princep of Ebonwood may request, and may be reprieved, from participating in Canonist Holy Wars with pardon of the ruling sovereign. ARTICLE IV - LAWS The Principatus and it's subjects, and all travelers within its borders are subject to the Imperial Law of the ORC short of the special exceptions noted in this agreement . The Principatus may pass its own local laws not in conflict with the ORC or this agreement. In addition, it may enforce and trial all laws, local and Imperial within its borders. Execution of any Imperial Laws and policies by agents of the crownlands government shall occur only in extremus or by invitation of the Principatus, taking every precaution to respect the Princeps ability to govern their assigned Vassaldom on behalf of the Emperor. An 'in extremus' situation is one that is formally declared by the Imperial Crown, and should be used to resolve matters that the Ebonwood is unable to resolve internally. Imperial Citizens and foreigners in the Ebonwood Principatus are subject to the law of the Princep of Ebonwood, however Human citizens of the Empire may appeal any decisions that might result in a sentencing of death to the crownlands government. Foreigners of the Empire, regardless of race, shall not be afforded this right. Additionally, Elven subjects tried in the crownlands shall be afforded an opportunity to appeal any sentencing that results in death to the Ethereal Council of the Principatus. Lastly, criminals of the Principatus shall be considered criminals across the entirety of the Empire. Wanted criminals by the Principatus shall be extradited to the Principatus for trial in the location of their crime, and authorized bounty hunters may collect criminals across the Empire for return to the Principatus. The reverse is true for criminals of the Crownlands. ARTICLE V - SUPPORT TO DEFEND THEIR VASSAL The Imperial Crown endeavors to lend immediate and constant support to His Serene Highness, the Princep of Ebonwood, against any threat to his realm, or person, or subsequently any discord which may compromise the stability of his state. ARTICLE VI - PROPERTY All property within the former Vale of Arentine is now considered property of the Principatus, those taxes shall no longer be paid directly to the Imperial Crown, and are now managed by the Principatus. ARTICLE VII - TAXES The Principatus shall maintain an excise tax rate equal to its current Municipal tax rate for 3 saints months, as a grace period to assist in new construction costs, and then pay an increased rate for a total of 125 Marks per annum. 30% of its initial re-construction shall be lent by the Crown as a gift. In times of war, the Principatus shall pay a total of 150 marks per annum to help offset the costs of defense. ARTICLE VIII - RELIGIOUS REPRIEVE The Imperial Crown grants reprieve in the adherence of Canonism to his Non-Human subjects of the Ebonwood Principatus. Non-Human subjects , solely within the borders of the Ebonwood Principatus may practice those Elven faiths, including but not limited to Druidism, Mali’Ker ancestor worship, and Malinism so long as they do not attempt to spread or evangelize their faith to other territories of the Empire. His Imperial Majesty's human subjects are beholden to practice the Canonist faith, and as such the Ebonwood Principatus shall accommodate the practice of Canonism within its territory. ARTICLE IX - DURATION OF FORCE This instrument shall remain in effect in perpetuity upon signature unless altered by the signing parties or their lawful successors. Signed, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Philip III, Holy Orenian Emperor, forever August, King of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duke of Ves, Helena, Novellen, Furnestock and Lorraine, Baron of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasia I, Holy Orenian Empress, forever August, Queen of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duchess of Ves, Helena, Novellen, Furnestock and Lorraine, Baroness of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera HIS SERENE HIGHNESS, Minuvas Melphaestaus, saneyir of the Malin’onn, Princeps of the Ebonwood, Warden of the Pale of Aldemar

For anyone who requested for the Empress's presence that day, she refused all visitors and meetings for an important matter had arisen. That being, a new song had been released in Almaris and she was listening to the song being played (by a bard named You Tube) on repeat.

Anastasya removed a cross from around her neck and handed it out to Amelia. Seeing the gesture, Amelia removed a pearl bracelet of her own. The two little girls exchanged the items, nodding to one another. "A truce," the Princess Amelia stated. "A truce," repeated the young Anastasya. From within the confines of the imperial apartments, as the Empress cradled her sleeping baby daughter, Princess Lorena, she held up that same pearl bracelet. She looked over it with a faint smile - the Novellen family, slowly becoming completed again, with her friend and confidant now returned.

A bouquet of white roses are sent to the Lady Regent, encircled by a golden band that has a small note attached to it, sealed by a wax stamp depicting the House of Furnestock. It reads as follows; Best wishes on your regency, Lady Vasileia. I am but a letter away. Signed, Anastasya

From the seven skies above, Queen Maya of Muldav raised her bottle of Carrion Black to the birth of the princess. Soon thereafter finishing the drink, she went to inform a young Princess Aleksandriya Ceciliya, the daughter of King Andrik III and his wife Queen Milena of Adria, that their names had been combined into that of a beautiful princess’s name. “ALEX LOOK AT THIS!” @Ivoreyy

"I have met all of these men! Fine soldiers, fine men, who contribute greatly to our empire," the Empress Anastasya nodded with pride regarding the new graduation class. "I await to see all that they shall accomplish in the future as they continue to grow and prosper."

IMPERIAL APPOINTMENT TO THE CHANCELLERY 5th of Sun’s Smile, 1852 In light of the resignation of His Imperial Excellency, Minuvas Melphestaus, the Crown has thus seen fit to appoint the Privy Seal, Joseph d’Azor, Count of Azor, as his successor to the position of Archchancellor. Mister Melphestaus has done the Empire a great service amidst the transitions over the past years upon the ascension of Emperor Philip III to the Imperial throne. Amidst it all, Mister Melphestaus has been a faithful, honest, and wise, advisor of Their Imperial Majesties. As the Vice Chancellor under the Crestfall Administration, Mister Melphestaus proved to be a stalwart and capable administrator, breaking ground as an elf occupying one of the most powerful positions in the Empire. Upon the ascension of Philip III and Anastasya of Kositz as a result of the Aster Revolution of 1849, Vice Chancellor Melphestaus would serve as a bridge between the reigns, being promoted to Archchancellor to lead the Emperor’s government in the turbulent period. Furthermore, His Imperial Excellency, the Vice Chancellor, Olivier de Savoie, has also chosen to resign from his office, citing poor health and advanced age. In his stead, the Treasurer, Henry Penton, shall ascend to the office of Vice Chancellor. The Crown thanks the Prince-Emeritus for his many years of service Now, the transition has been completed, and Mister Melphestaus shall retire to focus his attention on the governance of Ephesius and be appointed to the position of Privy Seal to aid the new Azor Ministry in whatever matters require his attention. A new age arises in the Empire, and new men and women shall be tasked with leading it. HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Philip III, Holy Orenian Emperor, forever August, King of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duke of Ves, Helena, Novellen, Furnestock and Lorraine, Baron of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasya of Kositz, Empress consort of the Holy Orenian Empire, Duchess consort of Furnestock
