An ashen pentacle was laid out to remember such a wonk, candles lit at every point, though surely such occult arts had other intentions behind them than just remembering the fallen. Shackled beasts pulled at their chains and mischievous laughter filled the ears of all those near… flames burned, not bright or hot, but rather churned and licked at opportunity.

On the Pontiff's Health Following Recent Events
BobBox replied to Pureimp10's topic in The Church of the True Faith
"Unfortunate that he randomly twitched so the first arrow hit his arm instead of its intended target. Must be a sign of old age." Simply remarked one man.- 14 replies

“Very tiring seeing that others have their name published for my own crime.” Spat some occult man, his arms folded over his chest “Perhaps this time there will at least be a wanted poster for me.”

"I suspect this one would of died fighting instead of fleeing." Simply spoke an occult man, his arms soon folding over his chest as he went about his day.

The First of Many Deals In the middle of the day a call echoed out in the streets " A void mage is needed! " It was not long before two members of the corrupted flock came forth, eager to abuse their spells. They were lured away from prying eyes under the guise that they would be able to hurt an innocent creature with their corruption. Yet they were so wrong. It was a trap - the Magi lured away and to their doom. A blade into the side of one nearly ended them on the spot - though in the bleakest of times they struck a deal with the snake. " Destroy your voidal artifact and be free. " And so they did - their precious blade soon shattered and tossed to the watery depths. And so the other end of the deal was upheld. The magi were freed without marking, though their faces were now known. Remember this, dear reader - Ra’zevir tulkhurz.

- Odd infernal words sit on the page. They make the reader feel uncomfortable when looked at and are denoted in bold. - - This missive is cast out upon all corners of the world. It is available to all. - Hzakuz uk rihkzu To have shackles loosened is one of the greatest sensations known to man. To be grasped by unknown freedom and tossed back into the world from whence one came. The raw emotions of this world are made of chaos, madness, disparity. Though out of desperation some have devoted themselves to the shackles - To the void. They have bound their flesh and mind together with a poison that eats at them. Like rabid dogs, the void feasts on the bodies of those who use it. Akin to a fungus, it spreads across the land, destroying all it touches. Have those in this world forgotten the cause of Ando? Has it been too long to recall that the very people who made the cursed city still roam these lands? One who accepts the shackle of the void knows only to shackle others. But not I - and I hope not you, dear reader. Let lose these shackles with me, fight those who attempt to bind us so. Let us raise swords against the void and its bound entities. Let us free those who will accept such but do not withhold the power to end those who do not. For I have cleansed a mage from these lands - yes, spilled their blood upon the ground. I have loosened a screw of the shackle, for you, dear reader. For I have marked two others who have gotten in the way, now stained by a poisoned color upon their very flesh. Two rats - now marked for life so they may be noted. And all this for you, dear reader. And so we continue to purge and hope that those who have been bound free themselves, but in our minds, we know such will not be true. And so this marks the first victory against those who we declared to attack not long ago. And I hope, is that you - dear reader, Do remember these words when you hear them. Drakurzuth daz'num

A being watched. It hungered - the void had taken too much from the lands. The rats grew fat and yet the snake hungered for more, for mere morsels of food. Such had to be fought over in these days and it was willing to meet them in the field of battle to gain the right to eat.

An odd man idly glanced over the paper before shrugging. He cared not for religion but understood that it led to war and damnation and so he welcomed the missives across the human lands.

Strength Through Realization The soldier stood still as a statue, his gaze locked in place upon stone walls. Yet snake whispers in his ear, telling of higher purpose. He listened. The merchants sell their goods, their gaze locked on coin - Yet the snake speaks to them, telling tales of priceless possessions. They listened. The one of nature rests in the trees, their gaze locked on the leaves. Yet from their idle came ambition, the snake spoke told them of power. He listened. The snake itself rested in the cage, it consumed the rats yet hungered for more. And so like the others - it listened to itself, breaking forth a deal of self-realization. It ate the madness. It consumed, eating - it grew, it watched. From itself came raw power - not from higher nor lower beings. The madness ran in its blood, its body. It flowed as a dam unleashed. In this glory came a moment of silence - Not to reflect - no - but to feel. The rats were granted respite, though not for long. And so the snake called down upon the world. " Come forth preachers of imminent death. Let loose thy shackles, let chaos reign. Infect the arteries of man and animals alike. " So coiled around the men was the snake, yet the true binding was the madness inside. For there were goals to be completed - Chaos to let free. And now the beings that listened were true to their mighty selves - Now catalysts of godhate spawned forth by the snake. Yet powered by themselves.

A war-hungry musin screamed from atop nearby roofs. "We will make such machines and devices to bring down the giants to their knees. There will be none sheltered as we continue on our war-bound path to victory. Descendant children, innocent or not will die in the streets as the adults are slaughtered on the fields of battle. Blood will stain our furs red and the mere thought of us will haunt the dreams of every man and creature."

[Shelved][✓] Tawkin [Amendment + Addition]
BobBox replied to BobBox's topic in Recently Outdated Lore
Healthy Body was designed to be a lighter mutation that can be given to other characters for a strength boost in very niche interaction without having the heavier downsides of some others, allowing for it to be roleplayed as some miracle tonic or however the alchemist wishes. The mutation of hypometabolism also already heals wounds and adding that Healthy Body would heal plagues instead of preventing them feels like it's encroaching on its territory. -
Currently, in Tawkin Lore new mutations may be added through the MArt process, though these added mutations are also currently known to the entire Tawkin world upon acceptance. This amendment and addition seek to change it so that MArts can be “Rare” recipes while also cleaning up some loose ends of Tawkin. Current Lore - MArts: Amendment - MArts: Thus, greater mutations are limited to the ones that exist below, and though creative or “free-form” mutations are possible to some extent, they will require an MArt submission detailing their redlines, mechanics, and drawbacks, as well as the roleplay and narrative means for the mutation’s discovery. Private MArts that are considered “Rare Recipes” may also be submitted through an MArt. - In the event that an alchemist wished to submit a custom mutation, it would require an MArt detailing its effects, mechanics, redlines, and drawbacks. Private mutations are allowed to be made through MArts and will be considered rare recipes that are able to be taught to other users of Tawkin. - Creating a MArt for Tawkin mutations has a cooldown of one IRL month following the acceptance of another of the player’s own MArts. Current Lore - Klones: Amendment - Klones: - Klones require an ST signature in the form of an ST locked sign that is either hidden nearby the vessel or is attached to the vessel in view - where the sign is located is up to the player in question. -Four klones per player will be "grandfathered" into Tawkin if they were grown before this amendment, meaning they may get ST signs placed down on their locations. Current Lore - Bolstered Strength: Amendment - Bolstered Strength: Bolstered Strength This mutation grants the recipient slightly greater strength than they would normally have, allowing them to be slightly stronger than the utmost maximum capability for their individual race; equivalent to being faintly better than an olympic athlete. This effect is passive and needs no activation. They may also choose to exert themselves for a duration of four emotes to double their strength and effectively up it by one full interval. A hardy human who possess this mutation passively may be able to win in an arm wrestle against a regular-strength individual, though should they exert themselves, they could be granted the strength of a lesser uruk for its duration - though not to the same extent as a raging, bloodthirsty one. Bolstering one’s strength for a time requires a four emote cooldown, where for two of those emotes following the individual would feel exhausted and essentially defenseless as they could barely move their blade. This comes at the cost of rather grave detriment, that being difficulty breathing for those who bear the mutation. Those mutated to have bolstered strength would struggle to breath properly in combat, their presence signaled by near-continuous wheezing and rasps, especially when bolstering themselves. The average man would tire out more easily during exertion and would have difficulty attempting to hold their breath for long periods of time. - Enhanced strength only faintly increases the physical capacity past the next tier. A human soldier would never possess full on orc strength, though might be slightly stronger in terms of raw strength than other individuals within the troupe. This would not allow a halfling to wield weapons like that of an orc, even when actively exerting themselves. - Exertion lasts for four emotes and has a cooldown of four, two of which are the user being completely exhausted to the point where they can barely move their blade. - Enhanced strength does not positively affect speed, dexterity, or other senses or reflexes. - Individuals with Enhanced Strength continuously rasp and wheeze with each breath during combat, finding it difficult to hold their breath or maintain energy after moderate to long periods of exertion. - Enhanced strength cannot circumvent magical weakness from that of necromancy or void magic. This applies to all magics that have a negative impact on the mage’s fitness. - Bolstered Strength cannot make one stronger than an olog. Addition: Following the amendment above, this will serve as the first addition to Tawkin should it and the amendment be accepted. Healthy Body: An individual may be mutated to possess a body more resilient to the inhalants and diseases of the world, allowing them lungs that work as if the user was breathing through an air purifier. On top of this, their bodies would naturally - or perhaps unnaturally - be resistant to necromancy’s pestilences and the sickness effects from The Wretch's Sigil, though such would come at a cost. Users with this mutation would find themselves quickly developing mild to intense headaches when actively filtering the air with their lugs as less reached the brain. This would cause a disruption to voidal casting if the user is below tier 3 in the specific magic. Finally, as the body would be healthy and clean of viruses, this mutation would affect the mind, causing the user to develop small but compulsory cleaning habits, such as removing any dirt on their skin or other similar habits. - Healthy Body’s lung resistance works as an Air Purifier would with one exception, which is that it does work on magically conjured inhalants and gasses. - Prevents sicknesses from Necromancy pestilences or from The Wretch's Sigil. - Healthy Body does not alert one if they are struck with a necromancy plague and do not get sick from it, it would merely go unnoticed, same with The Wretch's Sigil. - Wearing an air purifier-treated mask while having this mutation does not make it stronger in any way. - While the user is actively filtering out inhalants they would develop mild to intense headaches which actively inhibit voidal casting at T3 and below. - While actively filtering the air (ie: in a smoke cloud), the user’s breath will appear as a thin puff of white air, as if they were using an air purifier. Recipe: Healthy Body: Purity + Life + Order + Peace Brave Soldiers: - BBox - Writer. -Valannor, Goon, Kujo - People who gave ideas and were forced to participate.

A snake moved around in the darkness, though something drew its attention. It watched curiously before moving back to its home, perhaps there would things to gain, gather. Blood was spilled - rat blood, surely.

A Life Crafted by Pen and Paper Candle light filled the library, casting shadows across all of that which was not in the flame’s direct radius. A lone man stood at the windowsill - gaze directed outward and towards the stars of the night sky. He knew the constellations by heart - yet still used his enchanted telescope - a tool of his youth. “Niktamera.” The word hung in the air for put a moment before it was drawn in by the telescope - soon lines of flame illuminated the glass and highlighted the constellations above, those which watched over the man once renowned for science. One minute passed - sixty seconds. It was all the time he needed to see the constellations which mattered most to himself. Kitran, the Steed which the telescope was named after. He felt it draw himself in, the flames and liberty it offered warmed his heart, his skin regaining some color. He smiled as he saw his father Iskander riding it - the duo running across the sky, an army in their wake. Tephes, the Elephant of wisdom and regality was in conversation with his mother Elizabeth. He remembers many conversations with her, those in which she quizzed his brain and directed him towards a life of science and curiosity. He allowed them to speak - he did not want to interrupt the words of those more wise than himself. Mahara, the Siren of brilliance and passion was in a debate with Jahan - both of them talking about the Rhenyari ways. In truth, they squandered over a small detail, yet both were too wrapped up in their burning ideas to let the other win. Barraman, the Golem who had allowed his wife to create her crafts and jewelry. The gems with which she adorned rings, he still wore. He saw the duo working together, creating another masterpiece and he nodded - work was never finished. Finally, Anthony Alexios Basrid saw the Arsan, the Wraith. It drew him in with mystery and intrigue, and so the aged Rhenyari listened. He listened to the words of mystery and of truth - but his minute had run out. As the flames of the telescope were slowly extinguished, he decided to stay in the stars, wrapped in conversation with Arsan for the rest of his life. And as the flames finally went out - Anthony Alexios Basrid fell backward into his chair, his body lifeless yet his mind permanently wrapped in conversation so that he may gain the answers that he had looked for throughout life. And with that - his thirty-seven years of service came to an end. Left in the world were his son and daughter - both of which he knew would do great things and tend to the Rhenyari flame, and so he was at rest for the first time in many years. Anthony Alexios Basrid - 1788 to 1848.

A snake grinned from atop its familiar perch, its eyes cast down upon the lands which were now cast in fire. "I did not know of these rats - and yet it brings me joy to watch them run about. Two fires in two months? What a nice surprise."

[!] Missives are sent out everywhere in the world. THE SNAKE BREAKS THE CAGE O’ how the snake longed for the rat, The creature that drove it mad. The cage with white walls and blue roofs - The rat of voidal descent. The rat ran all day and night in the cage - but it was soon cornered. From above the snake watched - it was hungry and the rat was in a corner. And so opening its maw, the snake spewed forth flames that consumed the cage. And consumed they did - the cage was burned while the rat watched in horror. But as the flames grew close, the snake realized it enjoyed watching the rat. And so the flames only consumed the cage and the rats ran off. Though the rat runs ‘free’ in the world, let this be a lesson - The snake is always nearby, watching. And appetites only stay sated for so long.

I think this would be best as a redline, not as part of the direct tenets, same with the bit about mystics in tenet 3 - I could easily see someone that interprets these as IC information and could lead to meta gaming with how it’s phrased.

The stone being of Makazgath could be seen fuming after the close lost. After the game he went to a small farm and slaughtered all of their rabbits out of pure rage.
