  2. Red Upon White: The First Siege Of The Marbled City A depiction of Inquisitors charging through a line of bandits who jumped from the city walls. It was the 6th of the Grand Harvest when sounds of an extravagant party within the Marble City of Ando Alur were interrupted by a group of bandits who charged to the entrance of the Gala with swords in hand. At the first sight of these bandits, faithful soldiers and citizens drew arms - two of which were the Prince of Ando Alur and the Grand King of Urguan - both experienced in battle. As the fight naturally progressed, one soldier stood out from the rest - a commander by the name of Acharon, and during the fight, he appointed Elren to be a second in command. It was but a few moments of fighting when the bandits escape through the painted quarry was stopped short by the heavy gate which smashed down into the ground and there it was decided that the battle was lost. Their weak armor, which appeared of Mali’ker make, was useless against the masterfully smithed blades of the Inquisitors. Their screams of dismay echoed the cave as they attempted to turn, only to face the wrath of their pursuers. Many began to jump over the marble walls and died scrambling for their lives. In total, at least three hundred soldiers were captured or slaughtered, while the guardians of marble didn’t break a sweat. Let this be a warning for all future attacks on our city - our walls of marble do not falter to such weak and dull blades. Signed, Seat of Health,
  3. Somewhere in the wastelands of hell, a lone elf raised a glass to the man who he considered his own father. "Join me old man - your time has come to an end but the party is not over yet."
  4. A Demand for Surrender A depiction of the device to be used for the trial of the century. It has come to my attention that the gross incompetence of Toffee has begun to affect the entire Musin kind. This incompetence has caused us to be treated like dirt. No giants fear our kind, for Toffee has allowed us to roll over dead in the dirt. No longer will this be allowed. I will not sit back and watch as our entire existence is being treated as if it is nothing, and as if we are just small rugs on the floor of giant homes. I, General Needle the ‘Warmonger’ of the Musin kind do hereby demand the surrender of Toffee - the ‘leader’ of the Musin burrows. I demand no other Musin or mouse folk step forward, but merely Toffee. Upon his surrender, he will be promptly put to trial (and then executed!) for his crimes against our people and kin. The jury will be filled with high-ranking military officials to ensure its legitimacy. If Toffee does not agree to this surrender, I will have no choice but to march into the Musin burrows with the full wrath of my armies and execute him in front of everyone. His head will hang from the ceiling and there will be no leader until one is elected by the Musin kind. With this demand of Toffee’s surrender, I fully expect the nations that are allied with the Musin kind - those being Urguan and Yong Ping - to assist in his trial and execution. Should a nation that is currently at war with the Musin kind wish to assist us, I will forgive your trespasses and we will enter a state of peace for the foreseeable future. Signed, General Needle ‘The Warmonger’, leader of the Musin army and warriors, bravest of them of all Musin, destroyer of nations.
  5. "I hope this makes people want to buy more of my drinks." Uttered Elren "Or at least get injured so I can seem like a good doctor."
  6. Guide to Musin Armaments for War A Musin thinking about what weapon to use when going to slaughter the innocents of nations that oppose the Musin kind. As the General and representative of all Musin kind, I believe that it is necessary to begin building a stockpile of weapons and armor to hand out to civilians and warriors alike so that all mouse folk may be prepared for this upcoming war. It is advised that all Musin arm themselves, even if they are not looking to participate in this war (though nearly all are - beware giants!). This missive will serve as a booklet to all the weapons of the Musin kind so that other mouse folk can easily choose which weapon they believe fits them best. Single-Handed Weapons While there are many single-handed weapons that we mouse folk can use, I will be going over the most basic and effective weapons for one-handed use. Needle - The needle, a weapon I was named after. Unmatched by any other weapon, be it single-handed or two-handed - this weapon can easily pierce the cracks in the armor of giants and Musin, creating an unmatched force when presented on the field of war. Fishing Hook - A multi-purpose weapon and one of a kind. This weapon sinks into the flesh of giants and creates a painful wound when pulled out because of the barb on the end of it. This weapon can also be used to scale up tall buildings, akin to the giant’s grappling hooks. With the addition of fishing wire on the end of such a weapon, it can be pulled back to the user, though be careful that the giant doesn’t pull on it and send you to the clouds. Matchstick - A weapon preferred by Musin lacking the coin for proper weaponry, the matchstick is a great weapon to scare away giants. While the matchstick proves to be nothing more than a nuisance when not lit, when on fire it is a weapon of mass destruction. Not only can it burn wounds onto giants and set their wears on fire, but it can also burn down entire buildings, creating a needed distraction for when you’re surrounded. Scissors - While not used in the traditional sense in how someone would use scissors, if the blades of such a tool are split from the handle it can create a serious threat. This weapon can also be dual-wielded because each pair of scissors breaks into two blades. A Musin equipped with a pocket-knife and a hook, ready to assassinate the leader of any Nation which opposes him. Two-Handed Weapons While single-handed weapons do allow for us mouse folk to strike quickly, sometimes you may need to pack a little extra punch when fighting the giants. This is where I introduce the two-handed weapons, which are normally larger and can cause more pain than the single-handed ones. Broken Glass - An easy weapon to obtain, this weapon is nearly invisible if the correct shade of glass is chosen. Merely breaking a bottle on the ground can supply a small squadron with enough weapons to destroy a whole giant. Careful when gripping - make sure you wrap the bottom of it for a secure handle and so that you do not cut yourself. Dagger - While this may be a human weapon, small daggers can easily be utilized by the mouse folk who have bigger muscles - such as myself. These weapons can also be easily stolen from sleeping guards, as they are small to giants and often go unnoticed, though be wary when using them - if you tire, this weapon will only be dead weight. Short Swords - Perhaps the largest of all useable weapon by the Musin kind, these swords require two hands and constant attention and effort to wield. Only the strongest of Musin (such as myself - General Needle) could use such weapons effectively. Wooden Spear - While some Musin calls this a tribal weapon, I call it using your surroundings. A key weapon in the natural warfare that will happen around the Nation of Elvenesse. These spears are created by breaking off branches and sharpening them against stones and other various objects, such as knives. The more crude the tip of the spear is, the harder it will be to stab through the skin, though if such a weapon is left being crude, it will cause many internal splinters. An old Musin soldier dual-wielding scissors with a thimble hat and scrap leather armor, his gaze tells the story of war. Shields While shields are impossible to use when dual-wielding weapons, they are a legitimate tool to hold when using single-handed weapons, as even one strike blocked could save your life, though deciding the correct shield for yourself can be a struggle. Button Shield - A shield made from a button that is medium-sized but is also heavy due to the metals that they are made out of, those being often copper or bronze, and while certain buttons made out of porcelain are lighter, they often break easier as well. This is the most standard type of shield for Musin. Wooden Shield - A small wooden shield often shaped as the user liked it. These shields are less prone to breaking and are less heavy than button shields most of the time, though they often take many more labor-intensive hours to make. The most common shapes are tower shields, kite shields, and buckle shields. Turtle Shell Shield - It is possible that a Musin is left with no other options than a shield made by nature itself - and in this case, a turtle shield is the best option for us, seeing as they are the strongest and largest of shields, but also the heaviest. It is advised that smaller turtle shells are used for this, though larger ones can also be cut up for easier handling. Coin Shield - In the most desperate times, a Musin or member of the mouse folk may have to rely on an object which they have thieved to keep them safe. In these scenarios, the coin shield is the best option. This shield is the smallest of all shield choices for a musin, but it is also very easy to use in a pinch. An experienced Musin soldier who has fought on the Elvenesse front, holding a spear with an animal tooth after he slaughtered 8 fleeing civilians and children. Armor Armor is an essential part of staying alive as a Musin, as our small statures often make us more susceptible to slashes and other attacks. All armor must be custom fit for the Musin kind. Scrap Leather Armor - Armor that is often derived from dead animals and the scraps of giant’s shoes, this armor provides good protection against slashing attacks but offers little to prevent getting stabbed. Overall a good and cheap armor. Custom Metal Armor - While leather armor may be good against slashes, many of us wish to be protected from stabs and slashes, and thus we turned to Metal Armor. Made by a few smiths of the Musin kind, these sets of armor are incredibly rare and valuable, though they offer incredible protection. Miscellaneous & Ranged Items While all of the options above are only useful in close range, there are a few options for longer-ranged engagements and to prevent from being stomped on. Caltrop - A wonderful weapon to prevent yourself from being stomped on - it is advised that Musin who are strong wear one on their back so that giants think twice before stepping. These can also be thrown to assist in escaping. Slingshot - A perfect weapon for Musin attempting to shoot out a giant’s eye, this weapon is extremely quick to use and is a great way to buy time when in a hurry. Special Notes While most of the things listed above seem like very static ideas, this is far from the truth. It is recommended that blades are swapped out with animal claws and teeth to add to their usefulness. -=-=- If you’d like to supply the Musin-kind for our upcoming war, please send a letter to myself - Needle. -=-=- Signed, General Needle ‘The Warmonger’, leader of the Musin army and warriors, bravest of them of all Musin, destroyer of nations.
  7. DECLARATION OF WAR A depiction of General Needle ‘The Warmonger’ after achieving victory against all nations that opposed him. Seeing that my warning of war has been scoffed at, ignored, and quite frankly disrespected, I believe that I - General of all the Musin, Needle - have been left no other option but to formally declare war against nearly every nation in Almaris until we are respected as equals. Let this be the formal warning to all nations listed below: War is coming. To Elvenesse: For the crimes of stomping on our peoples, attempting to kill me, and refusing to communicate with us mouse folk, the following will happen. The Capital of Elvenesse will be turned into rubble, the cliffsides will fall into the water and there will be nothing left besides the grass which once grew on these lands. Your people will become displaced and there will be no heritage left for any of you to speak of - the aspects will weep at the might of the Musin kind. To the Holy Orenian Empire: For the crimes of killing our people, and issuing arrest on sight warrants for innocent mouse folk, I will summon upon Providence a rain of hellfire so powerful that the bricks that make up your walls will melt into the ocean. The very palace you love will be demolished and the Musin will establish burrows of a scale never before seen. All buildings except the candy shop will be turned into rubble, and your pitiful god will weep. No longer will this nation be declared holy, as not even the ones above will recognize these lands once we are finished with them. To the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska: For the crimes of blatantly disrespecting our people, your city will be leveled. The same trolls which you struggle to defeat will eat your people as if they are berries from a bush and the snow will melt from the warmth of the hatred for your peoples which I hold in my heart. No longer will we be disrespected and forced to sit in the cold of the snow - no longer will we be disrespected. To the Silver State of Haelun’or For the crimes of abuse and murder against our people, your precious Silver City will run red. No longer will the stones be colored white, instead the blood of innocents will run throughout the streets and it will stain all of that which it touches. All of your peoples will suffer and none shall be spared. To Sutica While us mouse folk understand that you’re under new leadership, we must demand that we are treated with respect and that once there is a new set of laws in place, we demand to be treated as equals. If such is not met, we will bring upon you the full wrath of the Musin army. Use this extra time granted to you wisely, as it could otherwise mean the ruin of your new nation. To The Rexdom of Krugmar While us mouse folk recognize your significant strength, we do still declare war on your state, as this incredible feat of strength has often lead to us being stepped on or treated poorly. We move to claim the homes in which the goblins currently live, and all other loot will be taken from your lands. Homes will be ransacked and children slaughtered. To Talon’s Port For blatantly disrespecting the Musin and me in particular, your nation will be turned into nothingness. The waters which you desperately hold at bay with walls will flood into your cities and above all of your homes. The large trees providing shade to the lands in which you live will fall and break down every last building in which your people will attempt to hide in. Everyone will be displaced and you will have nothing to show for it except for the tears of the children who will weep for the lands that once were. To the Druidic Order For refusing to meet with me - Needle, the representative for all mouse folk -, your tree will burn. It will cry out helplessly and all of the leaves will shrivel. All of the animals in which you harbor in your lands will perish painfully and there will be no remorse shown to anyone within these lands. To Norland For the mistreatment of our people, I hereby declare that your precious burning bush will be extinguished by the blood of the innocents and animals which you hold so near and dear to your hearts. All wild animals will be slain and all crops will become rotten. Your people will starve and will run to other nations begging for a release from this cruel fate which you have brought upon them. A special note to Urguan and the Jade State of Yong Ping I, as General of the Musin, do hereby spare both of these nations. I have decided to spare them because of the constant support that they have shown to our peoples, and I do note that other nations may receive this treatment, should they concede in this great war. =-=-= Let all nations weep for their fate, for this was preventable. =-=-= Signed, General Needle ‘The Warmonger’, leader of the Musin army and warriors, bravest of them of all Musin, destroyer of nations.

  10. A MUSIN’S WARNING A depiction of a Musin warrior ready for war. Not long have we Musin folk decided to wander the streets of Almaris, exploring these lands and reclaiming missing items. Not long have we picked up sweets, gumballs, taffy, and other candies. Not long have we established our burrows so that we may live in these lands - yet all of the time that we have been here, we have been openly oppressed, slashed at, stabbed, kicked, picked up, and killed. We have one demand to place before the entirety of Almaris before the Musin kind is mobilized upon the settlements of these lands - let the leaders of all nations and groups heed this warning. Meet with me - Needle - in a neutral zone before I am forced to bring hellfire upon every group that wishes to stand by and watch as abuse happens to the Musin en masse. We demand protection laws in each nation lest we be forced to bring your settlements to rubble. While we Musin may be small, we are not afraid nor are we weak. As Toast has once said “The mother of all wars has begun, the streets shall flow with the blood of the nonbelievers. Prayers of mercy shall fall upon the indifferent ears of God almighty. There shall be no shelter, no succor, the women, the children, the animals, will bleed the same as the soldier. The Earth will drink rich of their demise and grow fat from our fury.” I look forward to meeting with each group that wishes to remain in existence come our people be mobilized. -Needle ‘The Warmonger’

  14. Hook’s Demise A drawing of Hook - the brave Musin. It was the 17th of the Grand Harvest when the Musin known as Hook wandered into the Silver City in hopes of gaining riches and sweets - though he would find none of the such. Thalion Nullivari was his first target, and it was a success to start the day - one whole mina snatched from the unknowing elf’s pocket. On the high of such a success, Hook soon moved to his next target, a guard by the name of Klovar. As Hook reached into Klovar’s pocket, he was soon kicked backwards and into a bush by the startled guard. Hook released some squeaks of pain before jumping from the bush with his signature fish hook in hand, this was his moment to shine - or so he thought! He proudly exclaimed to the group “I'm a powerful Musin! And I'm here to rob you all of one mina each!”. Sadly, this attempt to rob the elves did not last long, as he was soon picked up by April. After some very brave squirming by Hook, he managed to stab their hand with his hook and be let go - now was the time for his escape. Hook quickly began to bolt towards the nearby sewer entrance, though he was nearly instantly shot by a crossbow bolt fired from one of the guards - which pinned him to the ground. As he was pinned, Hook began to cry and beg for mercy “Oh my sweets!” He called out many times, though these pleas did not save him, as Haskir finally ended his life. RIP Hook The Brave Musin.

  21. A Basrid paused as he saw himself in one of the pictures - thinking back on his past, he then said "I remember going to a ball in Haelun'or when I was younger - and although it looked much different, the architecture has still won me over to this day. I'm sure I won't be gone for too long though - I await the next call."
  22. "I reckon today was the day that the Nordlings realize how much they're in trouble." The Basrid concluded from his desk as he folded the paper. He glanced around to the nearby servant and motioned them forward with his hand. "Go summon my daughter and sons - I suppose I can spare some time from the war."
