OOC - Will influence in RP

Hey, I'm onm224 or Claudia Daenor. I joined the snelves in the Fringe and I've seen them degrading since then.

The aim of this post is to let you, the players know who we are, as well as how we are. After this post, I'll make another one called "RP guide for Snelves" so that you can see our culture from the inside and who knows? you maybe want to be a snelf.

Chapter 1 HATE

As you may know, [edited] snelves are one of the most hated people. I'm not saying it's not our fault, because it is. Snelves are hated for countless reasons which some of them might be true but others don't.

Snelves have had terrible leader, we know that. But what about the snelf people, the normal citizens, has anyone thought about them? No. First I would like you to RP with the snelven people, not with our leader or in the forums, take your computer, open minecraft and go find a snelf.

If you have read our lore, you've probably seen they don't explain how snleves are, or even how to RP as one (I'll probably publish how snelves should RP, a guide)

Chapter 2 What have the Mali'fenn done

You already know what the government has done, but what about the citizens. The Mali'fenn have built cities, boats and other architectural works, they've gathered for knowledge, specially in magic, we've provided food to all the Celia'fenn city, we helped merchant cities to achieve in their porpuses, we offered protection...

When we started being hunted, only the true mali'fenn scaped and kept united, our leaders didn't follow us. During this time we made friends with the lake city in the north, we helped them in farming, as well as in providing them knowledge.

I personally have rped with a lot of people, as a hooded woman. As I met someone I started leaving hints for their character to discover that I was a Mali'fenn. This lasted for days and many people finded out who I was by traveling to elven lands, asking people, looking in libraries, etc. and when they finnaly found out, they realised they had a very fun RP, as well as I had.

But the thing that most surprised them, was that all of them said: "I won't tell anyone, I'll protect you"

Chapter 3 We are not a Race, we are a culture

Yes, don't care about what others say, we are a culture. Mali'fenn are descendents of the high elves, with the only difference that we've got the "fenn gene".

A brief description of how we phisicaly are would be: not very tall and really cold. And done, we are not Gods, just "coldies", nothing overpowered here.

AND DONE! I hope this has made you be a bit less confused and that now that you know how are the citizens of Mali'fenn, you would probably have a more optimistic idea.

Also keep an eye to the roleplaying guide forum, because maybe tomorrow or so, I'll post an RP guide for us so things get a bit more clear.

If this post hasn't changed your mind, I'm really sorry. If you have been annoyed, I personaly say  "sorry" simply sorry for all that a snelf could have ever done to you.

But c'mon, now that you've seen a bit of how we are, wouldn't you give us a chance? and if not, wait for the roleplaying guide, which I'm shure it'll change your mind. :)

PD- If you have anything to comment, please be always positive, and if you want to express your hate, go to this link, and post whatever you need say, then Jax973 will respond you. Thank you

I have to agree that the snow elves have done a lot to gain the hate they currently have, and that most of that can be safely assumed to have come from its leadership. The culture itself, though, is quite different inside from what people outside see.

Might I ask.. What is this 'Fenn' gene, why're they cold because of it?

Uhm, yes sorry. I checked that again, what I ment is that you can be a snelf and your parents high elfs. Like if it was in your genes.

That doesn't make sense.

That doesn't make sense.

Well, that's what the lore says, I didn't write that.... but you need to have a distant relative for you to be a snlef.

I'll continue responding to all your doubts tomorrow. And I again I hope this post has helped.

To be frank, this made it more confusing to follow what you guys are and what your true goal is with this "culture". I believe if you guys want ANYTHING to be done with at least a bit of understanding from people, is to change your act altogether.

Write new lore for this "culture".

With this new lore, make it so everyone can better understand what the snow elves truly are. This post made it more ambiguous and confusing, that is is really doing the opposite of what you guys intended with this, like the same from all of your other snow elf related posts.

Also, I would reevaluate what you all truly want from this "culture". Are you guys TRULY looking to just be a culture? Or something more? You may have said stuff in this post relating to it, but honestly, all of this mess is just confusing.

And from the way you are saying things here, this feels like you need LM approval at this point to even go through with this culture as a whole.

Yes... I made this post representing the normal mali'fenn. Tomorrow as it is said in the post, I'll write the RP guide.

And thank you Delta Karma, for responding :)

Let them die of the snow elves active during the peak say fifteen there are now what three active snow elves and five total snow elves the "grand princedom" is a joke. Everyone but you guys have moved on the snow elves that lived in Fi'nor rerolled. In all honesty the naysayers are right lotc has too many races as is for a group of five to call themselves a Grand Princedom or even a culture for that matter. As Hydra has said many times let it die.

No need to be dicks to each other. Calm down.

And personally, I've never hated the snow elves. They just had some rough patches that never got fixed, and that was the main problem. As an outsider, all I saw was that they had people who wanted to try to fix things, but just couldn't do it, or they made it worse.

Unfortunately, in RP, if a leader makes some bad choices, their people suffer for it. Its the way Lord of the Craft works, and the real world works.

I'm going to be blunt.  No one actually cares about the Snow Elves other than the Snow Elves.  If you want to be a culture, okay.  Do it in roleplay.  Making these useless OOC threads about "look at me please don't hate me I'm a real elf" are really useless.  I've seen the Snow Elves constantly use OOC for everything, including attempting to vassalize under Oren.  Roleplay has consequences, because some leader is bad, doesn't mean you have to make an OOC post.

I advise that you stop making threads, especially if you lack the ability to not be offended by what people will post.
