  5. Dame Leoni of Acalonn read the missive with barely contained rage. She would send a letter to Ser Sterling. Ser Sterling, You forgot to mention in your recent report of how you and the others abandoned the Paladins to their doom. Your actions were an extreme act of cowardice and callous disregard of your kin of arms in the face of the forces of Ruin. Not even attempting to defend the Paladins so they could get away, you willingly let their evil plans flourish before your very eyes! You and the other church-men retreated with the excuse that they were 'heretics' and that some 'didn't like paladins anyways.' Now a Keeper of Xan is dead, and Azdromoth's plans for the complete destruction of our world as we know it have gotten ever-closer to fruition under your watch. Sincerely, Dame Leoni of Acalonn

  11. The Recently crowned Lich comes to hear of these deaths, a cackle resonating throughout its ribcage, as tenebrous smog leaks from its form. With understanding of soul, and mastery of bone, the Gravelord knew it was only right to summon forth those soldiers. "Our accord has been struck, and a deal is to be completed. You shall rise once more, Radmir"
  12. Days had gone by since Alberic's mother had heard from him. The house they shared was quiet, more than usual, and she had set out for him. The verdant crown of ivy and poisonous berries hung low as her head bowed, her brow now furrowed with great concern. The small room was illuminated with the gentle golden glow of candlelight as the story was told, her hand held that of the Keeper's sister tightly as she learned of her son's fate. It had been known to her that this would happen; It was only a matter of time. But she had not expected for it to happen so soon. Greying locks hung in front of her face like that of a willow's weeping branches, a curtain to hide her bereaved features from that of the sister. The Keeper's sister and her embraced each other in woe. She had not held the boy when he was a newborn, she had not disciplined him as a toddler, nor played with him as a child... She had raised him, trained him, and stood by his side from the moment they were fated to meet in his adolescent years. She loved him as her own. She had adopted other children, yes, and she had one of her own blood... but He was her only child; He was her only son. Her wails erupted with such a sadness that shook all hearts. It was unmistakable; It was unforgettable. It was a mother's cry. Once her tears had fallen and her weeping ceased, the woman lifted her head with a smile. It was tender and proud. These saltwater droplets of grief were not just of pain, but also of great pride for her son. In the years they formed their relationship, she had always taught him to to follow his golden heart, to protect the innocent, and fight for what is right... He died true to himself, and for that she was overjoyed. The mother knew what to do now. It was a conversation they had many times before. The crown of holly was removed from her hair, knotted brunette strands catching upon the pointed ivy of her hollyberry crown. A candle burned brightly at her windowsill within the home of Albert. The crimson berries reflected the light as wax dripped along the shaft of the candle, a tear of its own. The crown was dear to the mother and her son knew she almost never removed it. It was a great honor to receive her crown, and now it was his. Her eyes stared at the flicker of the flame before she bowed her head with deep reverence and kept watch that night. She had work to do.

  15. One Emigliana O'Rourke gazed at the sapphire-streaked heavens and wondered if the sacrifice of a keeper's life was all in vain. Nevertheless, she lit a candle that night within her chapel, uttering a prayer for the keeper she thought she did not know. "O, sunlit lord of the skies. . . I hope the sacrifice was worth the pain. I hope said servant suffered less knowing their virtue would become a piece in the greater puzzle of redemption. I pray for thee, whomever you are. . . For fighting in death, is never to be taken for granted. I hope your dying breaths were brave, I hope your shoulders were straight and rolled, that danger quivered at the sight of you. For you, I continue to fight To rid the world of this malice To live another day when you might not. May flame light your path May your embers be smothered by those you love Rest now." Unbeknownst, the fallen knight was a man she was kind to, a man she used to love, and now respected. Even though their last words were argumentative. . . She would write to him to meet again, knowing not that her letter hadn't arrived.
  16. 13rd of Tobias’ Bounty, 179 S.A By the direct order of the Duke of Brabant, Ser Sterling Whitewood, the two following individuals are to be granted the rank of Knighthood, for their sacrifice and martyrdom in the Silver Crusade, in defiance against the agents of Iblees to protect the flock of Canondom. May these men be forever known and recorded in history as exemplars of man, and Knights of Brabant. SER ALDER WHITEWOOD | 149 S.A - 173 THE YOUNG Ser Alder The Young, youngest son of Ser Sterling Whitewood, perished in the siege of Wicked Fort through the dastardly explosive corpse of the necromancers. Ser Alder took the brunt of the explosion, allowing the rest of the group to push forward to the doors of the gate. Ser Alder gripped onto life till the last minute of the siege, before succumbing to his injuries. SER RADMIR AMADOR| 68 S.A - 179 THE GRENADE Ser Radmir reached the age of 111 years old, and until his final moments, he remained defiant towards the evil of Iblees. Though not as strong as the other Crusaders in his old age, his heart was filled with boundless courage and piety. In the Battle of the Cerberus, as he saw the attacks of his fellows fail, he took the solemn decision to lay down his life with an explosive attack to injure the giant demon. With his efforts, the demon was sufficiently weakened, and his son, Professor Albus Amador was given the opportunity to finish it off. May descendant-kind continue to defy evil in all its forms. His Grace, Ser Sterling Blaxton-Whitewood, Duke of Brabant, Marquis of Lotusgrad, Baron of Blackwell, Lilenburg and Swan’s Keep, Lord of the Peaks, Protector of the Weefolk.
  17. 13rd of Tobias’ Bounty, 179 S.A Upon the mustering call, 200 men rallied for the Silver Crusade. The Crusaders were split into two platoons: The Cavalry, led by the Duke of Brabant, and the footmen, commanded by the Grand Master, Holy Ser MacSkaul. The groups sallied out of the gates to search for the colossal demon, that the Crusade had battled in a previous engagement. The Commanders anticipated that the demon hid deeper into the forest to recover, however, the spawn of Ibless then manifested in front of them from pools of blood caused by ominous red rain. With little time to retreat and man the cannons, it was ordered to charge forth. The cavalry flanked the beast with their lances, while the footmen occupied the attention of the beast with alchemical, magical and ranged attacks. Any attack with a sword was met with the chitinous armour of the Cerberus demon. By lance and mace, the cavalry team cracked through the armour, with the Duke flanking the demon from behind and demolishing one of its hind legs. However, this was not enough as the demon still spewed tremendous amounts of malflame towards the footmen. Radmir Amador, sacrificed himself against the demon, by strapping himself with multiple explosive potions and throwing himself onto the beast's chest, causing its armour to crack and the beast to falter, bringing it to the brink of death. Professor Albus Amador, Wizard of the Blackwell Tower, conjured a tornado to rip the beast to shreds, while the other combatants evacuated the area. As the demon was torn to shreds by the winds, the warriors recovered and treated malflame burns. Then from the mountains, a host of 200 Azdrazi and their allies descended and captured those crusaders who were separated from the main group, then quickly riding away with the captives. The current state of these people is unknown. The Order of St. Jude regrouped and gathered the injured, fleeing to the fortified temple of Brabant, while other individual crusaders scattered. Despite being caught off guard by the demon’s appearance, the Silver Crusade successfully dispatched it with minimal casualties, however, the sudden raid of the Azdrazi, and the sheer amount of their numbers, left the group blindsided. The Silver Crusade will persist in the face of all adversity, for the Canonist Flock. Signed, His Grace, Ser Sterling Blaxton-Whitewood, Duke of Brabant, Marquis of Lotusgrad, Baron of Blackwell, Lilenburg and Swan’s Keep, Lord of the Peaks, Protector of the Weefolk.

  19. ____________________________________________________________ Votar’Lur, the Krimpgoth, looks upon the city from towering mountains, covered by the jungles of Beleth. A great beast over his shoulder, thrown atop the goblin that had explained him the missive. “Whitewazhed for practizing druidizm? Fled Krugmar? Abandoned rezponzibilitez-” The towering Uruk burst into a great laughter, stepping atop the Goblin that had been crushed by the dead beast. “Wub a bunch of pugzkah! 20. Persecution and Pardons The halfling known as Minto’lur is hereby banished from Krugmar, having his honorary status revoked, and his citizenship in Krugmar nullified. He will be now considered a whitewash in Krugmar, and will no longer have rights in Krugmar. He is being exiled for the following reasons: 1) He has abandoned his responsibilities in Krugmar 2) He has fled Krugmar to escape punishment 3) He has forsaken the spirits by practicing Druidism His practice of Druidism, whether it be no longer, was not pardoned, and shall result in his hunt until his death. His vows as an honorary have been broken by these tricks he has played against our people, and hereby shall be named whitewashed. No orc, honorary, or vassal, are exempt to the laws in which they have agreed to, and shall be punished harshly for breaking them. The Alurian vassal state is hereby removed from Krugmar and their government is officially declared non-existent in the realm of the Iron Horde. They will no longer have a home in Krugmar, and their lands shall be sold to the next group of wary people who decide to settle in it. Aluria has not paid taxes in multiple years, and has stolen from Krugmar, and in doing so, results in them being evicted. These members of their leadership, known to many as Ember, and Jakob Calavénon, will also be given exiled status, and shall no longer be allowed in Horde lands, as they owe the Iron Horde one thousand and forty mina. Eight hundred of which is from a loan they have not paid back. Until they pay this back in full, they will no longer be allowed in Horde lands, and shall be executed on sight until they pay it off. While these few are no longer allowed in the Horde lands, we are welcoming back another Horde member, and revoking their exiled status. This person is Gundanat’Vukh, wargoth of Vukh, and shall hereby be forgiven, and given a pardon for all past convictions. He is hereby given his rights back in Krugmar, and shall be respected by his fellow Uruk. He also will be given the exclusive right to live in places other than Krugmar, which is a rare thing to have, as a reward for his honor and hard work within Krugmar prior to his exile.

  24. - VOLUME TWO: Nostalgia of Foreign Memories - Fjarriagua Addition/Amendment: Gaze onto the Winter Weeping of the Stars Part One: The Old Growth The Forlorn Totems The fruit born of an Altar and the literal pillar of their worship, each one wholly unique in its physical appearance and reflecting a part of the Fjarriagua’s mind that created it, but all Totems share the purpose of further compounding the influence and the magic of the Fjarriagua as it seeps within the physical plain evermore, acting as metaphysical extensions of the Altars and their will, as well as a safe haven for any Witch to come and rest their tireless minds and bodies. To create one, a Frost Mother along with the help of [1] Fjarriagua must plant a “seed” born of cursed ice upon any chosen land and with the empowerment of the wicked powers the witches wield, they may awaken the seed from its dormant state, rapidly and aggressively beginning to take root within the land and quickly growing into a Forlorn Totem. The newly created Totem will find itself quickly fully maturing soon after its creation, although being limited into a rather timid size as opposed to their greater variant, nevertheless still all too capable of enacting boons and a sense of comfort and safety to any and all Fjarriagua that rest by its side, even if in a lesser degree. PURPOSE: The Forlorn Totems are a cheap and easily affordable alternative to the costly and risky creation of Witch Altars. Primarily in their lessened creation requirements, as well as their far smaller area of effect, allowing them to more easily be placed in discrete locations as opposed to a Tier 3 Witch Altar’s 50 meter radius of frostbite-inducing cold that would instantly expose their presence. Nevertheless, a totem's main niche is to act as a “mini-lair” of sorts, for a Fjarriagua to be able to lick her wounds and heal from any injuries she may have suffered without requiring the creation of massive and usually permanent lairs as are required with Witch Altars. Being only capable of healing Witches and acting as a less expensive backup base in the event of the loss of a Witch Altar. Part Two: The New Growth A Blossoming Beholder The phenomenon of a Totem Blossoming is a peculiar characteristic of these inorganic yet unmistakably living structures, for should one be allowed the rare privilege to bask in the flowing northern winds that permeate the surface, entirely lacking in any obstruction from the skies above; there from which the first snow of winter always arrives, then the Totem will begin to undergo a radiant metamorphosis, as it blossoms and ascends into a Beholder; a finely tuned instrument born of wicked ice magick. Unlike the dominating presence of the Witch Altars, a Beholder specializes as a radiant beacon for the Fjarriagua, dutifully listening in and relaying to the witches the melodic influence of the birthplace of their kind; Skjoldier. PURPOSE: The main star of today’s show; The Beholder, a mechanic that was infact fully thought out and developed all the way back since late February, that I was a bit too lazy to properly finish writing out until now..! They are in essence a ‘goal’ for well established witch covens to strive for, requiring you to maintain a weak little Totem for up to a week as it is fully exposed and visible to any travelers, hunters, Holy Mages or even rivals creatures of the dark perhaps! Thus hopefully resulting in an interesting way to create conflict and rewarding those that pursue such a path. The rewards of course being purely flavourful rituals in nature that offer no combative boons. This is not to be mistaken as adding new and interesting rituals only to lock them away behind risky mechanics, rather just making the Forlorn Totems themselves have more depth that is unique to them alone, the Witch Altars will have their time soon enough. Now as for each of the mentioned rituals: Mal Du Pays The simplest of all the three, for the costs and ever-present risks of creating a Beholder, the coven’s Mothers are rewarded with being able to peer into Prophecies, something that very much thematically fits them. Unshackled Esbat Non-Metagaming-Communication-based mechanics are everyone’s favorites! And with this ritual allowing for a safe and reliable method of communication between all covens, thus benefiting all Fjarriagua, I hoped that the creation and maintenance of a Beholder would act as something that would unite and promote cooperation with any future splintered covens instead of acting as causes for greedy infighting for who gets to “control it”. The Fjarrigua after all are one of the few (if not only) Dark CAs that despite being one of the most unambiguously evil in mentality, hold an interestingly strong thematic focus on teamwork and cooperation with their fellow coven members, doubly so in the case of Frost Mothers. This ritual wishes to further cement and develop this unique theme of theirs. Sisters of Blood In current lore, it is already allowed for a Frost Mother to commune with a Soft-PKed Fjarriagua and as well as there being no mention of naturally Hard-PKed Witches suffering any “obliteration of the soul” kind of things, thus I believe there is no such an issue here with the Beholders being able to achieve such a feat, including this rituals being a common one within various other Magicks, such as Necromancy and Shamanism. Part Three: Quality of Death OLD LORE: NEW LORE: PURPOSE: Just some pre-emptive clean up to avoid conflicting lore bits should the amendment be accepted and just to be further clear: For non-Soft-PKing deaths, a witch will be automatically revived in a Witch Altar, Forlorn Totem or Beholder of their respective coven. For Soft-PKing deaths only a Witch Altar can revive them with the usage of the “Sabbath of Resurrection”. A simple decision to give the Forlorn Totems more overall importance as easier to hide “backup altars”, all the while still making it clear that a Coven without a Witch Altar will still be in constant grave risk of being wiped out in its entirety should they be so unfortunate.
