Why Is The Server Down?

Short answer: It isn't.

 

There is currently a problem with the Mojang servers affecting most, if not all, of the 1.6.2 and 1.6.4 build servers. While the server is currently up and running, connecting to it is highly difficult, if not impossible. You will see a 'Communication Error' on your client's Status List, and either a 'Bad Login' or 'End of Stream' notification when you try to connect to any MC servers.

This affects LotC and most other servers, although it is reported the 1.7.2 servers are allowing people to connect just fine. As we have little control over the problem (except rushing a 1.7.2 update, which Bukkit does not currently support), it is impossible for us to determine when these issues will be resolved. We advise everyone to hold tight, and perhaps lift your own spirit with some engaging Forum RP.
