There will be about 20, 25 mine entrances total. I'll add them over the next day or two, I just want to get some of the more important mines out ASAP. Skip to the bottom to see what mines have been released so far.

 

There might be a few issues with these mines. If you find any, message me ingame or send me a PM on the forums. Of course, you can also bug me on Skype or post here in this thread. Hopefully we'll be using World Painted mines from here on out!

 

I know you guys have been waiting a long time for this, and I'd like to apologize for taking so long. Ran into A LOT of issues with lag, crashing, multiverse being broke, as well as some other RL issues. Hopefully, it has been worth the wait! ^^

 

What comes next:

  • -Custom alchemy. Potions, some minor enchantments. Fun stuff!
  • -Once craftbook is fixed, I'll be adding a plethora of new recipes. Want to fix your bow? Bow+string! Want to craft some iron or diamond arrows, or maybe an apple or sheep-meat pie? 

 

Changes:

 

- 330 million blocks! Previously, mines had less than 100 million.

- All mines are interconnected. You can't mine to China, but you can mine your way from Storm's Crossing over to Abresi!

- Caverns, chasms, mineshafts, caves, and dungeons. 

- 100% vanilla mining, veins instead of one block at a time.  Increased ore ratios as well as non-vanilla ore. (glowstone, netherrack, quartz, clay).

- Day/Night cycle synced up. No more leaving a mine during the day, only for it to be night on the main world.

- More ore than vanilla! Slightly increased ratios should lead to slightly more ore. 

- Orc racial mine no longer has sandstone. Could not figure out how to paint that so I didn't bother. 

- Gates/locks have been removed for now. You guys might want to change the locations due to how mine travel works. Wait a week or two to figure things out/wait for all entrances to get added.

Orcs: 

 

  • 751, 64, 761 (Desert)

Elves:

 

  • -445, 72, -917

Dwarves:

 

  • 58, 58, 506 (Storm's Crossing)
  • -1321, 75, 948 (Old Capital)

Neutral:

 

  • -48, 66, -169 (Old Kingston mine)
  • 88, 64, 43 (GM Village)

Does this mean people could mine from the main world inside of Storms crossing while its locked? Seems a bit.... abusable in ways, but otherwise sounds good

Erm, no. There's still a seperate mine world, but you could... say... mine from human entrance and pop out of the dwarven exit. It makes more sense, but you guys might to change some lock/gate locations.

Wait. Higher ores concentration than vanilla...? Are the staff trying to completely destroy what little economy we have left on the server?
