An extra 1-2% won't affect anything. But let's think about gold. Gold is super rare, but on vanilla, it doesn't really do much. Here, we go through gold like crazy to breed horses. If we keep it just as rare, we'll have less horses, less gold overall, etc. It won't be good. But an extra 1-2% gold ore will allow us to breed horses and craft golden armor, hoes, weapons, use it for alchemy, etc.

All ores were increased by at least 1%. 

 

It really won't affect much in the long run. If anything, it'll help replenish our lifeless economy.

Just a note: Consider these mines as a 'beta'. If I messed up the ore ratios, or world edit did something bad, I'll be remaking them. I'll wait a week or two and see how well they do.
