Protip; Don't spend as long as you did on Asulon with this map. I think we waited somewhere like 2-3 months for Asulon, and that was honestly what killed the servers for me.

Asulon was the shortest prepped map with a total of 35 days, we'll take as long as necessary for 4.0 - if you don't wanna stick around we can't make ya!

I'd rather have an efficient and well made map than have the devs rush through it all and leave mistakes. We can always go to a temp map in time if need be.

2.5k x 3.5k excluding the minecraft generated terrain beyond the canyon. I'm not really sure on how much of it we should generate but probably another couple thousand blocks north & east.

I find this update with the new map to seemingly be nice but considering we will be losing all of our items, houses, and animals (I have 3 horses) it is rather unfair if we don't get some compensation for our lost items. (Say we could take snap shots of our items and everyone for the new update would be returned those items). Also, why not try to establish this server within hexxit. So many more items, monsters, buildings, and dimensions are available.   

 

Isn't the whole point of a new map a fresh start? Besides, a snapshot system sounds too easy to abuse.

So with the regions, If someone were to must a few good peoplein a guild they would be able to stick up a claim for land?

Regions are only a subsection of a greater landmass.

This is how all the map changes have been. It's meant to be a fresh start. A new lands and new opportunities. We didn't get to transport items before, and I don't see it happening now.
