Hong Kong rapidly modernized back to its old era of economy and the future. With eletricity and order coming back in the city, the goverment makes sure the media and general eletrical requires are back on track. With the people taking old televisions & microwaves, as well as beamers showing constant news & propaganda on the major abandoned office towers. Hong Kong is 'modern' once again. However, As Xi aimed for more than just eletricity returning to the city.

 

Renovated factories were constructed, and the farms produced enough food for the people for now. Several factories up north are producing weaponry and other products required for the benefit of Hong Kong. It isn't mass production, yet. Though, the major thing is the return of currency. Yen it is called, and it follows the former currency being dominant for a long time. Rations are printed to set an economy up, and the centre mall is now selling food & other products. People now work for a price, and pay the goverment for their residence and protection.

 

Word is received that a convoy is underway to China, the road takes 23 hours and As Xi sends a small division to collect the convoy and escort it to the city. The aircraft carrier seemed to be false alarm, it was a smaller type of transport ship. Repairs have started, and As Xi hopes to have the ship functional soon, fortunatly the unused ship doesn't have any damage besides the decay of time. ((2 pages))

 

 

Meanwhile, the Red Army of 90,000 soldiers guard & operate to provide safety. However, As Xi is interested in the rumours of a dragon kingdom up north. It is seen as a threat. The newly found industry is great to repair and make the old military base nearby the city functional, and a fortunate arsenal of weaponry is found. Many PLZ-45's are found. However, only some are repairable.

 

 

The QBZ-03 is also being produced, being easier to produce than the AK-47. It is an interesting comparison, seeing how the accuricy is better, but the actual damage less. The QBZ-03 is taken from the arsenal, and new ones are produced with ammunition to arm the Red Army.

 

 

Meanwhile in the local news.

 

More survivors come to the city. However, a language problem persists. Somehow, these survivors speak German. As Xi received reports that 10,000 came to the city for a home in the past year. However, the reports may be fake (Mod say if its reasonable) These Germans will hopefully teach Hong Kong its language, and future alliances or contacts may arise.

 

Meanwhile, As Xi Jingpin spoke to the people regarding the whole situation of Hong Kong for the first time.

 

"People of Hong Kong, I won't stand here to preach to you how our future looks bright. I shall be honest with our situation. Our future does not look bright, not if we don't make a glorious destiny ourselves. We have heard rumours of other survivors North. However, they seem to have their own kingdom. We are not sure if anyone is alive besides Stalingrad and them, and we shall make sure to expand and monitor our channels for potential allies. With the introduction of the currency, I request every citizen to be patient and to spend it all. It creates economy, economy who our future and existing allies can make use of. If we want to live and modernize ourselves more, everybody should go to work rather than enjoy their survival era. It has been 300 years, and we must be greatful that we have found ourselves in the glorious city of Hong Kong. We might go to war soon, a war wich we might lose. A Radio proposal is send to Stalingrad on their situation.

Radio channels are being looked upon, and more are being monitored. Plan routes for the ship are being made. The discussion starts wether to find contact west from this 'Dragon Empire' or not. The factories are being guarded for potential contact.

The convoy continues advancing towards the Neo Mounties city, eventually finding the walls of the actual city. Yelling out to them, they try to get someone to come out to speak to them.

The leadership at Hanford decides to send out a looting party. They send 500 men with travois and pistols to the nearby city of Spokane to search for food, water, books, fuel, ammo, and tarps or cloths.

The New Norwegian Kingdom

The construction of Bodø is finished, mainly consisting of big wooden houses for one or more families in suburban outer areas of the city, and sturdy apartment complexes of stone and cement in the center. It includes a Royal Palace, a town hall and several other governmental buildings. The corvette sent for scavenging radios back to the capital, reporting of the Bismarck aircraft carrier, and King Olav VI is extremely pleased. The corvette ties up to the Bismarck, and starts to haul it back towards Bodø, hugging the Norwegian coast as they steam North. The merchantile vessel that was sent to Iceland is given new orders by radio, and it turns around a few nautical miles from Iceland, and steams to intercept the corvette hauling Bismarck, it's goal to meet up and help with the hauling. 

 

Several teams in small boats set out from Bodø, their instructions clear. King Olav VI was determined to acquire fuel for the nation, to use on the newly found Bismarck and other naval units or military vehicles. The teams search areas known to have housed intense oil drilling and many rigs before, searching rigorously for any remains that could be used, hopefully an oil rig, but also looking for more detailed maps of where oil is located, to maybe build an oil rig themselves, then move it to drill oil, although the rig would be small and primitive. 

 

Word of the Neo-Swedish Kingom reaches King Olav VI, and he sends a radio message directed personally to the new Queen of Sweden. He inquires if she is of the true Swedish royal family, and points towards the fact that is she is, they would be related, although distantly. He also proposes a trade agreement and a defensive alliance for the good of the two re-born Scandinavian countries.

As Xi saw how a ship sailed nearby the Hong Kong coast, alarms went off as the news broadcasted live announcements. A PLZ-45 went to the coast aiming at the ship as a motor boat went to board the ship and sail it towards the unused Hong Kong port. Expected is that the ship would dock, or be downed.

 

Meanwhile, life continues in Hong Kong. The ship repairs are doing good so far, and the people have high morale to rebuild Hong Kong. As eletricity comes back online slowly, As Xi orders a group of researches to explore the towers of former news stations for salvage and other potential technoligy.

 

The 10,000 Germans are being learned Chinese, and plans are made for them to be of civil service. The cure for the sterilization is being tested on pregnant mothers. They give birth to babies... But they are dead by birth. As Xi will have to find a way to solve this, but security is first priority for now.

Nation Communications

China - While the Russian State agrees with the advisement of taking northern territory they respectfully refuse the option of taking on Yen as a currency as an economic project was all ready under way to reintroduce the Ruble as Russia's Currency. Russia also proposes a mutual agreement, The Russian State is willing to send its last remaining Soviet Mi-24 gunship to the Chinese so they may copy the design and use it for themselves, in return Russia wishes that 50% of the Gunships off the first production line be sent back.

 

Nation Announcements

Soon after turning down the Chinese' offer to accept Yen as the National Currency. the Ruble is finally printed and has been dispatched to all citizens in small amounts to help start up the economy, instead of the old system which simply used vouchers for food and clothing depending on the quotas its workers met.

 

The State has begone construction an Underground Base which is to be used to Stockpile Weapons and Resources such as Oil and other materials that are of Militaristic use.

 

Military Assessment & Action

The Military still only stands at 40,000 and rumors say that General Rogov (Previously a Councilor of the council of 7) has banded with the pigs who use Moscow as their territory. Conscripts are wrote up by which a Draft is now in motion. This is to increase the Military from 40,000 to 65,000. To further encourage volunteers into joining instead of being forced into service, all volunteers will be givin a large bonus in Rubles once the money is finished being printed and dispatched throughout the State.

The Council is currently underway in selecting another councilor to fill the 7th seat after Rogov's betrayal.

HORNED MEN OF ICELAND

 

Iceland had been untouched by the Last War. Well, untouched directly. Giant tsunamis still crushed through the lower land, nuclear winters drifting north occasionally and freezing the country solid. But no missiles had been sent to Iceland, no one even payed notion to the civilians up north. So through it all, some had managed to survive...

 

During the oncoming riots and wars of the survivors around the world, the small population left of Iceland lived together, sharing what they could, when they could. It was only when the volcano Eyjafjallajökull exploded in the year 2112, burying the surrounding cities in ash, that the Nordic people in Iceland were so thinned out. Their population never grew back to what it was, only staying at a steady 900 due to lack of food on the mainland. Recently in history however, the Icelandics - made up mostly of British and Nordic heritage - moved to the new coast, seeing the ravaged cities of old and remains of old tech, most of which they salvaged.

 

As far as food goes, life was well-sustained by the sea life in the northern seas. Just like before, whales, seals and scores of fish came to enjoy the Artic's summer, feeding the small population of Iceland for half of the year. They lived off of the sea, that had taken so cruelly from them. But when the freezing winter came, so did the starvation. The seas would freeze for miles, and the reserves would only last so long. The horses and ox were too important for the populace, and with no sustainable cattle, drastic measures are taken. Of a winter, other - smaller - Icelandic tribes would be killed for supplies and food. If they did not have any, they were the dinner on the table. The Nordic Tribe did not eat their own, strict laws prevented such barbarity by Chieftain Kanek II. Eating others was fine however, as many other traveling survivors found out. Such would have been the case for the Norwegian crew, if they docked in Iceland.

 

 

The scouts and men of the tribe dressed in traditional medieval furs and armor, using bows, swords and axes over guns for hunting. Fights however, they used improvised guns, or weapons in poor condition from the Last War. Household pets such as dogs were swapped with Wolves, trained but deadly and wild at heart. Remembered history was documented by the survivors of the last war as well as religion, and so a Nordic spin-off of Christianity was the followed religion. They were as civilized as they could be to eachother, but to others, they tried to show as much aggression as possible until they trusted them.

Hong Kong accepts the proposal of Stalingrad, and prepares crews to clone the soviet gunship soon enough. The ship repairs are soon done, but Hong Kong doesn't wait for the third ship to be completed. With the oil & metals from the convoy, they fuel up the ship who would set coörds of where Britian would be. The second ship is going to transport 150 men and several trucks & building materials to create a mine in the Stalingrad lands, seeing how there is no word of current ones.

 

Meanwhile, As Xi founds several oil wells pointing towards Mongolia. It would be sufficient enough to use the low vehicle use of the Chinese. However, they seem to find a large oil field going towards Mongolia, with the agreement between Stalingrad. A division of 40 move towards a small ruïned village in the centre of the oil fields to claim the village. However, a PLZ-45 is ready to barrage the area if necessary. Though, only the centre of the city could be targeted when it comes to safety.  The Village seems tribal, but they brought gifts with them in peace.

 

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong city scape turns more eletronical. The once modern nation turned modern once again with the street lights & several basic advertisements being lit. The market increases as the farms grow some foreign plants, unfortunatly the pineapple and pommegrenade's do not survive the Chinese climate.

 

Several factories are done, and production becomes more stronger. However, the Dragon Empire threat seems more real as locals with stories roam into the city. The apartments & flats are re-used by the citizens, and the goverment claims an operative office in the centre. With the internet becoming stronger in Hong Kong, several Wi-Fi towers are shippied with the Chinese mining teams to Stalingrad, the office keeps contact with foreign convoys and monitors radios. However, it seems that the 12th floor is heavily damaged and cracked, risking the whole building to collapse. Repairs will be made, knowing that at the top of the former CCTV HQ there lies alot of technoligy regarding television & video.

 

Meanwhile, the Chinese population remains at the equal number so far. As Xi wants to have that cure finished soon, so that his population would atleast increase by 10 over time. Hong Kong might have been rebuild, but the road to Mongolia seems to have issues already. The new swamp land after the flood took over several parts, and construction teams are planning to repair this road to have a shorten travel distance. Seeing how it is 3 hours less through this road, a construction teams tries to find a way how to repair them with wood.

 

The technological scale of Hong Kong increases, the easy acces to eletronical devices teaches the goverment how to use computers. Seeing how these primitive devices barely function, a desire for computers increase in Hong Kong. It seems that a minor population, can get superiority compared to the massive gangs & northerners through technoligy. As Xi immidiatly assigns his smartest men to get these computers functional. Gothic Tribe of Nuuk

 

The High Gothi Vidar stood on a balcony in the very top of Temple of Kesuroth, which acted as both a place of worship and his office of governance, and was also the largest building in all of Nuuk. He observed the tribe before him, thinking on how he could better it. He turned back into his office, and got to work.

 

He first ordered the expansion of the town's farms. The demand for food was getting rather high, and was a problem that needed addressing quickly. The expansion will allow for an extra 1,000 mouths to be fed, allowing a total of 8,000 people in Nuuk, but until that time it would make sure that there was a surplus of food as security. ((4 pages))

 

Next, he ordered the creation of another iron mine, along with a quarry. As the population grew, that town most grow with it, and for that, resources are needed. ((6 pages))

 

Meanwhile, a band of roughly 100 men come before the Temple of Akanar, and ask the Gothi there for a blessing in one of their planned endeavours. They seek to sail around the land that Nuuk is on, heading along the south coast, and map it out. They are granted the use of 2 longboats, and a Gothi from each of the temples is sent with them. It will take a couple of months to prepare for the trip before it can begin. ((1 page))

The Radio Tower has been upgraded, The teams working it can now handle more channels. In spirit of such a Signal is broadcast across Europe and the Middle East, the signal is strong enough to possibly go over into Africa. The signals is sent in attempts to communicate with more possible survivors.

 

China - A labor force of roughly 180 men bring equipment to assist China in the creation of its Mine. Russia makes a radio broadcasts to its government and people thanking them for their hard work and assistance.

The geologist teams were indeed able to find at the most 2 locations where Mines could be constructed as deposits of Coal and Iron have been discovered, Labor groups and mining equipment have been shipped to these sites to begin construction (2 pages)

 

A heavily escorted convoy ships the Soviet Mi-24 Gunship to China, spirits are high within the Stalingrad army as they'll soon have air support once again!

 

Scouts are sent north to assess the threat of Kogov and his men in Moscow.

 

Military Assessments

The army has grown lately, many have joined the army through the combined draft and volunteers due to the bonuses offered. the Draft is dropped after some 30,000 loyal Russians join the state military. Training has begun and once completed, will join the ranks (2 pages)

 

Local News

The Farms have finally been completed as they have expanded increasing the quantity of food for the State. While it is celebrated that its people no longer suffer shortages there is little room for extra to be sent around as little to no excess food is produced.

The mines in Stalingrad were progressing, the Chinese never forgot their techniques to dig. As the Wi-Fi towers enabled, easier communications became possible. The Chinese felt pity with the Russians, seeing how cold & decay haunted their lands. However, the many natural resources becamed claimed by the Chinese, and they only gathered 40% for themselves. In return of their received gunship, Hong Kong delivers blueprints for the one and only PLZ-45. As convoy's move towards Hong Kong, the homeland situation turns quite different.

 

The survivors managed to get the legendary Wi-Fi back. However, they forgot that the people of the past used 'Personal Computers.'. The tsunami ressistant buildings of the past contained some. But many malfunctioned when pressing the 'power' button. In the Hong Kong Cyber university many books could be found relating to computers. However, those retards of the past had it all in German. Desperatly the Chinese turn to the Germans, who teach Chinese every day. Hopefully these Germans would repair these computers, but expected is that many resources still need to be gathered.

 

In the Hong Kong city scape, the population grows slowly. A system returned to the Chinese, and people payed taxes as they worked certain times. It was organized, and several people could fancy driving vehicles through the streets. As Xi Jingpin knew that these people will decay, and new shall be born. It was time that the people became educated, like the people who made the very buildings they live in.

 

As Xi ordered his men to gather all school books from the broken schools they could find, and sort them into 'packages' to educate the people. This progress would be slow, but if people of the future could make Personal Computers and learn how they lived in the past, they should. However, many books remained not intact. Fortunatly the news papers could press new ones. It was a matter of time before a complete package would be copied and used in rebuild schools.

 

With things going quite well, the military did not expand nor increase. The few newborne who are fully healthy would work on the farms of their parents, and the third ship was under construction.

 

A request is send to Stalingrad however, asking if they could send troops to take Mongolia for their oil.

Highlands Tribe

After Much discussion, king George decided it was for the best not to march south of the wall. A even vote it was, 3-3 vote for the dukes and the king.
The king voted against and won the vote, he voted no because he still though the gods did not want them to march into the land where the cloud rules.
But only a few days later a old man appeared in Glasgow. coming south from the wall. He walked around the city and told people that they had where making a huge mistake, he said the gods did not control the cloud, but fought it.
The highlands was the only domain left in their control, and they wanted them to fight the cloud.
The word reached the king and he called for a meeting with this man.
He said he was a old priest. and that he had seen the cloud kill one of the gods themselves right in front of his eyes.
Then it was clear for George, the gods have spoked through this man and war was needed. George, as the first king of the Highlands ever to do it, declared war on the cloud and claimed all of southern Scotland his. He promised that in the name of the Gods he would reunite Scotland. He prepared the Highlands army of 1000 men, mostly armed with swords, axes and bows. Meanwhile they prepared a small scout force of 10 people, they was send ahead they should walk to the old Scottish capital (Edinburgh) and home again. and report there founding- ((Some mod please notice that last part))

 

 

 

Meanwhile the Duke Of Orkney had found a old communication tower, and after some studying they found out how to turn it on by pressing 1 button. 
A message was recorded into it that said told about the Highlands. and that they wished for help in there fight against the cloud. and the demons who killed gods. The communication tower was weak, and did not reach out much longer than the distance to the Shetlands from Orkney, but any boat in that area should be able to find the message.

The Kingdom of New Norway

As the corvette begins to leave port, a single bullet, which sounded as though it came from a high power rifle, slams through the control deck window, nailing the captain of the ship in the head, killing him instantly. Immediately following, rifle and musket fire rains down on the corvette, a single small cannon penetrates the hull and the crew scrambled for cover, grabbing their rifles. It seems that the Norwegians attempted to pull a city out of port, a city within the Bismarck. The scouts sent to find oil rigs reveal that they found one which can be salvaged, but upon further inspection it is revealed the drill itself is crippled and will need to be replaced, meaning deep sea operations. This knowledge will have to be acquired somehow.

 

The Brothers of Stalingrad

As the convoy rolls through what once was Kazakhstan, the group is ambushed by nearly 1,000 raiders armed with AKs and RPG-7. The attackers sweep down the hill, destroying two supply trucks with RPGs, effectively destroying the cargo. The rest shoot up the troops escorting the resources for trade, only a few men make it out alive with only a fraction of the supplies that they had left with. They make to return for Stalingrad to report the failure. The journey was treacherous and would either need more resources or a way to make a secure road of some kind. Once the scouts reach Moscow, they see that General Rogov is amassing forces for an attack on the Brothers. He has rallied the hostile population of Moscow that shot down one of the Brother's helicopters earlier in the winter, claiming they have vast riches that can be plundered if they attack.

 

The Nordic Tribe of Iceland

As if from out of nowhere, nearly a dozen longboats materialize on the coast, massive black sails adorned with a purple crescent approach the lands of the Nordic Tribe, five cannon shots ringing out from the ships as they batter the Nordic people on the coast. An alarm is sounded and this threat must be dealt with as soon as possible.

 

Hong Kong

The electric buzz of Hong Kong suddenly goes silent, the entire cityscape lights going dark all at once. Upon study, way too much power was being used by the state. In order to fix this, it is suggested that only the most essential buildings be powered, and the Wifi and internet, as well as television programs be scrapped until a stronger power source can be found. 

 

The Honshu Republic

As ships land in the Philippines, the scouts would notice that these factories were largely destroyed due to the massive waves caused by the weapons. And when they do not find ruins, they find tribes. A new religion swept through the region, Worshippers of The Weapon (similar to those in Germany). They worship the weapon that caused the apocalypse and hail the Last War as cleansing of the Earth in His will. Who He is, nobody has any idea. However, a few vaults had not flooded and the resources are available for use.

 

The Tribe of The Highlands

The scouts that were sent to Edinborough immediately return, choking and coughing, large welts already developing on their faces and skin. They say the cloud is poison, but claim they watched the gods fighting it fiercely, thundering claps of lightning filling the sky within. They say that it will be too dangerous to get to Edinborough, however because of this war.

 

The Zulu

As the scouts reach Pretoria, they see nothing but ruins, collapse skyscrapers, and massive plumes of smoke. Should they approach the city, they will realize that it is a warzone, massive craters dot the streets, it is clear RPG-7 fire has decimated the structures of the already horrid infrastructure. The city is a warzone of multiple tribes, however one seems to be winning. Perhaps the scouts should engage this tribe in diplomacy to see if they can aid them? In Central Africa, hundreds of tanks, their symbols now faded which had once told their what Great Empire they had once been apart of, sat destroyed in the jungles and deserts. However, they were not entirely useless, the scrap metal predicted to be a good resource by the scouts, they haul a large amount of it back. They also find two mines, one that had once been used for gold and another that had once been used for rare earth minerals, which were at one time used for drones.

 

The Neo Mounties

As the most of the camp falls asleep, watchers would begin to see massive amounts of torch light surrounding the camp. Suddenly, dozens of arrows descend from the night sky, the tips yellow with fire. Soon the walls are licked with flames, smoke rising high in the night sky. Soon loud, primitive screams ring out from the area, what must have been two thousand men rush the camp, armed with shotguns, pistols, spears, shields, and really any other weapon they can get their hands on. The future of this camp looks grim.

Trade: The Trade expedition up the Mississippi, led by el Infante Fernando, is still stopped in Northern Illinois, resting up in camp and scouting the surrounding area for other people groups to trade with. The trading sloop is filled with processed sugar and tobacco, guarded by thirty sailors with muskets and machetes.

 

Exploration: Rey Alfonso has deemed it necessary to search the continent for natural resources, as most of those in Cuba were stripped before the great calamities of the past. Two sloops are being sent to the Yucatan Peninsula with mining and logging gear, each outfitted with a single cannon with one shot each. What they will find, if anything, is unknown at this point.

 

Actions: The four ancient metal frigates have stood idly in the harbor for too long. El Rey has deemed it necessary to strip them of unnecessary parts, fix the hull, outfit each with two sets of sails and and eight cannon. This is a long process which will take up a large part of the Reino's immediate workforce. ((4 pages))

 

Secondly, the land and shipowners of the realm have been ordered to increase the production of fish in the Caribbean and are two double the food output of the kingdom in the next few cycles. ((3 pages))

Screams, chaos & fear. The poor civillians did not know what happened when the power went out. The ambition of a reconstructed Hong Kong was a bridge to far. An uprising came, but was easily beaten down by the Red Star army. The eletricity was offline, but not for long. As temporary batteries went online, the govermental building remained functional. With post haste they gathered and salvaged all solar panels , mill's and cable they could find to connect to the underpowered generators.

 

People of Hong Kong managed to make a generator for their goverment facility. However, it merely managed to keep the goverment facility functional. With the unpowering of most buildings, electricity could be spared for the factories up north.

Empire of the Dragon

 

The gift from the Wu was sent back to Su'Zu, along with word of the kingdom joining the empire. Su'Zu had known the moment it happened, his fateful and well supplied spies reporting to him over radio. When word reached him officially, he decreed Wu would be the Empire's seventh province, and the former king would become province commander. Not only was bringing more subjects and taxes in, Wu also opened up the sea to  Empire of the Dragon.

 

The Wu province's navy consisted of a few old era patrol vessels, but mainly old fashioned Chinese Junks. The Junks were loaded with diplomats and gifts of spices and silks, and sent off to the people on the former Japanese islands. Su'Zu was told they called themselves the Honshu Republic by the leader of Wu. The patrol vessels escorted the ships, and crewed by the sea faring Wu, but a small marine compliment of Dragon Knights accompanied them. The Knights were sent for two reasons, to show the military prowess of the Dragon Empire to the Honshu republic, and to ward off sea brigands.

 

With rumors of a harsh winter, the Provinces are told to stock a full 1/8 of their harvest. Though it was a risky venture, it would assure the empire would have enough food for the first few months of winter. With Wu brining in more food, and introducing sea food to the Empire, the people were well fed for now. More of the Wu's specially designed fishing ships are commissioned.

 

Imperial Spies fill the court of the new Wu Province Elector, watching his moves and reporting back to the Dragon prince. At the slightest hint of treacherous actions, him his family, and royal court would be swiftly assassinated and replaced by loyal members. This was repeated in every Province Elector's court, ensuring that they remained loyal to the Empire. Some who were absolutely trusted were excluded from this, but still watched from time to time.

 

Dragon Knights and Imperial Auxiliaries continued to travel the Empire, ensuring 1/4 of each town's male population were trained and armed as militia. They were armed with pikes, bamboo spears, and bow and arrow for now. Most Imperial cities were less desperate then the countryside, but still suffered from lack of food. They were filled with the poor, and only semi-modern, but still had a large array of artisans and merchants to sell various wares. THe capital of Xi'An and the Wu's coastal province capital are excluded from this. Xi'An is the center of the Empire, where wealth poured in in various forms straight to Imperial coffers. The city was renovated and expanded, becoming as current as most cities. To address the rising problem of lack of supplies for the ever increasing army, tow arms manufactories are commissioned. Being relatively new and under supplied, only low grade semi-automatic rifles and muskets would be produced for now.
