The 200 consider the offer for a good while. While not their mission, they doubted anyone would mind too heavily. They agree to go. Should any battles occur, they would use their usual tactic of ascending whatever trees are nearby and firing down on the enemy from them, making them harder to hit.

The Lost Tribes of Australia

The Confederacy of Australian Tribes.

alternative_kangaroo_flag2.gif

There was always room for change, and the name one of them. The Lost Tribes said weakness. The Confederacy of Australian Tribes said unity, strength. They would not come off as harmless from now on. There was to be a visit from a Japanese delegation and Australia had already prepared for it. The results of the deal would be kept extremely quiet.

The Scouting group in the Americas had been hiding out in the village for a while now, and once the horsemen and returned, they decided they had enough of the campfire life and prepared to re-embark. Their plan was to find a route through or around the continent. Before they left, three men sent a message to the head of the neo-mounties.

They were to scout out a route through or around the Americas, as they had very little knowledge of the land. Assuming they were much further north then they had assumed, they started sailing south, following the coast.

They decided, with the little fuel they had, they could not afford to stop for any survivors along the way, they would go along the coast until they found such a way which would allow them to swerve back around to the eastern edge of the Americas.

After a day or so of good sailing, they eventually ran into the ruins of the Panama canal, which was more likened to a strait, hoping this was not, like it had been earlier,a  bay but an actual way through, they entered the strait and continued up due north, right into Cuban territory.

Back at home, Aaron ordered 2000 men to begin working on both mines, while one still needed to be cleared out, the other would be expected to start digging ASAP.

The scouts traversing Australia scour the country side for any sign of useful resoursces or people, it is unknown if the 1000 or so men will find anything.

The Zulu

Overlooking the vast land, the beautiful farmland and huts of the Zulu people covered a large portion of South Eastern Africa. Within the very center of the vast amount of small hutts and tents. One stood out, larger and looking much more royal. Within stood a man, this man had been determined the smartest and strongest leader within the Zulu. He was Shaka, chieftain of the Zulu. Surrounded by his many inDuna's, he began to plan for the future of the Zulu. A regiment containing 400 Impi is sent along the coastline in search of any remaining ruins, information, or ships that could still possibly remain intact to be used.

Impi begin using the collected scrap metal from Central Africa to begin making new shields and spears to bolster its military force after Impi scouts encountered a warzone in what was once a capital of the old nation of South Africa. A message is sent to the spotted tribe that seemed to have held the upper hand in the warzone. Questions of what they go by and what their intentions are, are included in the diplomatic letter..

An additional regiment of 800 Impi is sent to Central Africa to continue scouting for resources and collecting additional iron. They bring with them pickaxes and carts to also preform mining missions within the newly discovered mines. They hope to bring back with them gold and whatever laid in the second mine.

中国共产主义阵营

Hong Kong, 2354

The eletrical output remains to be a problem. With the factories working and the goverment centre barely functional, the powerhungry Chinese desperatly work on water mills and salvaging more solar panels. However, more interest rises in an abandoned coal mine nearby this Dragon Empire. Construction begings, seeing how Hong Kong definetly needs more energy. ((2 pages))

The ship is finished & armed, and is moved to the old location of South Africa. The other ship clashes into cuba, but the expectation of civilization does not exist. Each ship has a PLZ-45 on them. However, with the near finish of the oil well's it would seem that more PLZ-45's could be fueled.

Hong Kong receives the reports, and becomes furious. Through radio they contact the Stalingrad Chinese to continue work in the mine, and to found some sort of Chinese district for Stalingrad to have.

Everything was running smoothly in Hong Kong, it was an advanced civilization among the world of darkness. It had everything; wifi, television, and infinite clean energy sources. It even had ships armed with laser cannons, ships which could travel at almost the speed of sound. Yet something was... wrong. A distinct smell was washing over everything. A smell of... manure.

Xi awoke in his small hut, the smell of sh*t wafting through the air. Getting up from a straw bed, he looked outside to see peasants shoveling horse manure. It appeared that this fantastic world where Hong Kong attained such fantastic technology was all a dream. It was odd that such things were thought of. What was this thing called television? Or for that matter, factories.

[Warning you Draeris, Hong Kong is gaining a lot far too fast. Energy would not even be a thing known to the Chinese people. and these ships suddenly popping up with advanced weaponry, all the way over in Africa? No. Just, no.]

Edit:

After months of scouring, the Australian scouting parties find three coal mines mostly intact. One appears to have some minor structural damage, another seems quite unstable, and the final one is ripe for the picking. All the Tribes would need is the workers and the proper tools, and perhaps a place to fend off the countless creatures roaming in the abandoned country side...

The Honshu Republic

bdOPhEP.png

After a brief meeting with the aboriginal scouting boat, both part and head off towards their respective countries. Several days later, a small detachment of trade and patrol vessel leave port and head towards the Confederated Tribe's position. These boats were carrying precious cargo including oil drilling equipment. As the Republic's soldiers and sailors arrive in the Australian port, the equipment is dropped off. A majority of the crew would stay with the equipment to maintain and teach the natives, as well as keep an eye on what would be mined in the area.

Another detachment of explorers and soldiers depart for the former lands of Papua New Guinea. Armed with maps detailing of the island's rich resources and the mines that would extract these riches, the Republic sets about with the colonization of several of the Guinean islands. The soldiers are well equipped and heavily armed, their primary objective being to secure the position for further mining operations. [Three of the northern islands settled upon.]

Outposts are set up in the friendly regions of Korea and East Taiwan. The primary objective is to establish easier trade routes to the regional civilizations, although a secondary objective is to clear the area of hostile forces. Soldiers stationed in Eastern Taiwan begin to aid in the fight against the Western portion of the island, pushing back the under equipped warriors. In Korea, hunting parties are dispatched periodically to sweep the area for barbarians.

After several months of negotiations, Hokkaido joins the Honshu Republic. Although the north did not offer much in terms of raw materials, it causes an influx in patriotism as the Japanese islands are once again united. With this patriotic fervor, further training of the Republic's militant forces begins. The policy of soldier-farmers are dissolved and replaced with a structured standing army system. This drastically reduces the military's size to 200,000 soldiers, although in times of emergency farmers may be called upon.

Factories continue to produce much needed munitions, although the geothermal plans appear to be slowly degrading. Alternatives such as solar or hydro power is looked into, but coal will likely be the resource needed.

Renovations on the Republic's destroyers and frigates are complete in terms of the exterior, with the rusted hulls being replaced. The inner systems will need further repairs however, and will not be ready for some time. Several faulty patrol craft found by salvage crews are repurposed with sails and in turn become fishing boats. Development on the fishing industry begins.

The Confederacy of Lost Tribes

With the new equipment from the Japanese, orders are given out for the construction of a Steel and Oil refinery. The Steel refinery is expected to take around 6 months ((3 pages.)) while the Oil refinery will take a year ((6 pages)) thanks to the large amount of help from the Japanese.

The Japanese men are directed to the mines and wells under use. The best quality coal mine is put to work, along with the iron mine. 200 men are tasked to guard the mines and wells day and night to fend off creatures.

At the capital, designs for a larger cargo are to be made, the one that is deemed most useful will be set into production upon the completion of the new Steel refinery. 2 of the new Armidale ships are sent to New Zealand, stocked with food and tools to set up a settlement. Arms are given out to defend against any barbarians.

When the scouts had told their message. their where immediately send to a shamans. The Shamans there used all his powers in a attempt to figurer out a way to save them, and perhaps any information pointing towards way to kill the cloud.

King George was now certain, he ordered the army to stand down but they would be prepared in case the gods should need a place to retreat to. The scouts where not able to figurer out what the gods where fighting, but George knew that if he should be able to come to the gods rescue, he needed the cloud gone. He then shortly after ordered a meeting with the dukes.

When the meeting was set they talked about a way to figurer out how to kill the cloud, and all the dukes was given a mission.

The duke of Orkney had to make sure his newly found communication tower always worked. and pray that outsider may come to help them. as well as searching libraries and facilities on Orkney

The other dukes was ordered to use as many resources as possible to find old libraries and factories. for books or any item that could help them discover a way to kill the cloud. King George knew the cloud came because the English  and Irish in the last war had fought, but King George was certain that the Scots had been spared for a reason. He himself also used all his current power into looking for a way to "kill the cloud," he looked through his entire province for facilities and libraries for any clue or information pointing towards a way to kill the cloud.

All power is used into finding a way to "kill the cloud." (unknown among of pages)

Ethiopian Kingdom

Peaceful it was, in the Ethiopian kingdom. The people worked their farms as they watched the trees surrounding them, forgetting about all the bad things. Ethiopia, all of Africa actually. Went dark over 300 years ago by a massive accident.  Since then, the people did what they did for years before. Survive. The devices of the old remained a mystery for the Ethiopians. However, the people moved on. For 200 years chaos plunged the lands, and people lived in ruins.

However, several years later 'civilization' came back to Ethiopia. A leader came to existence, Martinez Selassie. However, after 40 more years the leader died. Within those 40 years he had salvaged the remnants of the old, and made sure Ethiopia had something to build on. After that, a new leader came to power. Haile Selassie, the one leader who made the religion and methods of the old back into the new.

Haile_Selassie_iaahdenpage1.png

Most people of Ethiopia lived in the haven of Addis Abeba. The leaders of the kingdom lived in the most intact building, the palace. It had many mysterious things in it, but only the rooms with windows where used. Ethiopia had developed several systems to survive, who are essential today. People learned how to make candles, who where used to light the dark houses of Addis. Further, the Ethiopians shared their foundings & fortune with their good spirit they had even in their darkest times.

However, Ethiopia couldn't remain to feed & live upon the ashes of the old. It was time the gates of Addis Abeba opened, and that people leave outside the walls for the first time. It seemed like paradise, until they really saw what was going on.

Outside the Haven, people fought themselves with magical firing devices. Roads went as far as the horizon could see, and fields with rivers & coast could be seen. Haile did not hesistate, seeing how the small farms in his city could expand. He orders his workers to use the nearby made river for farms, and to not stop until the city is out of sight. ((2 pages))

Meanwhile, Haile orders his people to collect wood for a project he has in mind. However, the project remains secret for now. A group of people are looking for a kettle & Yeast. However, Haile announced to his people that it will take a while for his master plan to happen. However, grain would be a major product in this.

A caravan of 5 people and camels are send south ((towards south Africa)) to scout the area and to find other survivors. They are ordered to follow the road at all costs. These 4 people where elected by the Council, seeing how they are the most fit for a long travel.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk

With the ships and explorers ready for their journey, they set off down South along the coast. On their journey, they constantly map out the coast as they sail past it. Within a few months, they will be within sight of the Icelandic ships. ((1 page))

Meanwhile, the dock begins expansion to allow for a great capacity of ships to be held, which for now would accommodate for a greater fishing fleet. ((6 pages))

HORNED MEN OF ICELAND

Alarms rang throughout the town, men grabbing their weapons, armor and ammunition before running to the coast. The cannons had hit pillars on the dock, the end of the pier collapsing to the water. As the actual men filed out the longboats however, they were met with arrows, axes and bullets as the Horned Men fought to keep their own. When they ran out of arrows, they threw axes. When the axes ran dry, they used guns. When the clips were empty, they ran in with sword and shield - tamed wolves and bears attacking with them. The fight was small, but casualties were quite extensive. As the tribe didn't have an official military or guard, counting the casualties had to be done manually. Seventy six Horned Men died, their bodies being shipped out in coffins on boats into the sea, surrounded by their fallen enemies' skulls and their weapons. They were then set on fire, beacons in the in the thick mist. One of the men who had died was Chieftain Kanek, whom had taken three shots and multiple stabs of swords before finally falling. Because of this, his daughter - Amelia, his young adult daughter, was crowned Queen of the tribe.

The ships finally reach Greenland, seeing little to no life. They have enough fuel to get back to Iceland, but not enough to go anywhere else. The 50 scouts make camp on the eastern shore of Greenland, and will be there for a week - in range of sight of the Greenlandic vessels.

After the attack, Queen Amelia orders for more metal to be found. Seven scavenging squads consisting of 15 men each set out in all different directions to hunt for scrap metal in the ruins of old cities. East of Reykjavik they find several old Paladin APCs and British IFVs, rusted to no repair. Sketches are still drawn however, and they are stripped of metal which is thrown into a horse and cart to be taken back to the camp.

Kingdom of Ethiopia.

The people woke up with a new structure in their midst. They where confused what it was, until Haile Selassie went on his balcony to have his speech. The people touching the wooden structure in confusion stood as they watched the balcony without interruption, it was not often that Haile would have his speech. An oval crowd with the newly build structure in the centre appeared. And Haile send several people to repeat what he said.

"People of Ethiopia, I greet upon you on this wonderful today. The wooden structures in the middle, is our new market. With our farms being made and our trees growing, I want to bless all of you with fair trade. Today I want , like the father before me. To show progress to my kind. May my helpers find you a stand, so that our fresh and old products can be traded. Let us all enjoy a better live. عيش صحي و أنسجام"

The people eagerly sign up, and some people start a whole merchandize. A market came to existance, and some products who were not expected to exist show up.

Marketplace_in_mansa_zambia_1.jpg

Several things became salvaged lately. The Goverment made sure several kettles where salvaged, and they still await their farms for any real progress.

The small caravan finds a tribal village nearby Addis, they seem to be primitively armed. However, the caravan raises their Ethiopian banner and slowly approaches, saying how they want to speak to the leader for negotiations. They are in fear, knowing that nothing would stop the citizens to take them down with a spearhead.

The New Norwegian Kingdom

-Oslo-

A lifeboat is lowered from the side of the corvette, and a group of 5 is in it. The new captain, who had instructed his most trusted officer and friend to take command of the ship and open fire if they do not hear anything from the group going over to the Bismarck within 45 minutes. He is escorted by 4 skilled navy men, equipped with good semi-auto rifles. They push away from the ship's hull, and head towards the Bismarck. If taken in peacefully, they would start negotiatioting and enquiring what this city is and where it came from or if it might want a peaceful unity into their Northern safe-haven. Back on the corvette, the cease-fire is used to begin repairs on the hole in the hull, repairs being low-quality and rushed, though better than nothing.

-Bodø-

The construction of the pressurized chamber and deep sea diving suits is finished, and a fishing trawler modified with a wince and other equipment for deep sea repairs set out for the rig. Once there, the two divers go down into the darkness and study the drill's damage. A small part seems to have cracked and almost broke in half, and the divers get back into the chamber and resurface, reporting by radio back to Bodø what part was needed. A quick half-sailing, half-motor boat is sent out with the part and within a couple hours the divers go back down and initiate the repairs. It is not sure if the repairs would be successful as the diving gear has not been tested much and because the knowledge on the oil rig is limited.

The Confederacy of Australian Tribes

As the scouts continue to search the rest of Australia after finding the mine, they find nothing but waste land for miles around. They might collect scrap metal from old cars and structures, but otherwise nothing. Then, out of the corner of one of the scout's eyes he notices a group of three men, one holding a black banner with an ornate golden sun sewn onto it. They wave and holler at the scouts hailing them over. It is then that these men tell them that they are from the Republic of The Outback, saying that they have constructed a great settlement not far from where they were, and offered them a chance to stay the night. They ask where they are from.

The Neo Mounties

The reinforcements arrive just in time, however as they begin to see the small fortifications a massive offensive takes place. Nearly two-hundred natives charge the flanks of the marching army from each side, slamming into the center to cause chaos. However, as the men from the fort begin to try to aid, they come to a horrible realization, they are almost of out ammo. The last battle had drained their supply.

The Zulu

The tribe in Pretoria says that it would appreciate aid from the Zulu. Should the Zulu help take over the city, the tribe would swear fealty to the Zulu out of respect. They also offer knowledge of how to drill oil shale not far north of the city should they join in the fight. They do warn however that the fighting will be rough, nearly the entire city is occupied being sieged by nearly a dozen different tribes. The regiment that scans the coast fines a few ships which could be salvaged for scrap metal should they decide to do so. One of them is able to be sailed, but would require massive repairs to get it seaworthy.

The Brothers of Stalingrad

General Rogov uses his scouts to observe the troop movements, planning his own defense of Moscow. He decides that since the winter is coming, the Brothers will either have to retreat or make an offensive. Rogov decides to hold out in Moscow, using his tanks to fortify the defensive line. Rogov sends a radio transmission out to Stalingrad, daring them to make a foolish attack on Moscow.

Ethiopia

The traders look perplexed as the banner is raised, many of them drawing their weapons. One startled trader pulls the trigger, believing the banner to be some kind of weapon. What the reaction of the Ethiopians will be is unknown, however the traders begin to rain bullets on the Ethiopians, figuring they would be hostile.

The New Norwegian Kingdom

The men within the Bismarck tell the Norwegians that this is their city, and they understand the mistake. However, they do not apologize for their attacking the ship because of the perceived threat. They say that nobody can be trusted in this world. They offer the possibility of trade, offering scrap metal and fish which they harvest from the bay. They mention something about the nuclear reactor aboard the ship still working on low power, however do not make a large deal of it. On the rig, the chamber sent to the bottom suddenly begins to crack, water slowly flooding inside. All of a sudden, the entire cabin bursts and the men inside try desperately to get to the surface. A new strategy, or stronger cabin, would be needed.

GLOBAL EVENT

As harvest season begins worldwide, farmers begin to worry. Stress almost killing some. The crops were just not able to be harvested, food supplies for the winter would be horrid. It is expected that thousands will die worldwide because of the lack of the essential food supplies. Even worse yet, one of the coldest winters since the Cataclysm is predicted by Farmer's Almanacs.

((The month is currently October, in 1 page it will be January and the next global event will take place))
