Lefty 1696 Share Posted January 18, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2hRTLdvdnk There was a small breeze rolling through Abresi, the guards watching the wall as the citizens of Abresi are full of happiness and cheer. Unknown to the guards, a group of dwarves led by Igor Ireheart sneak into Abresi, murdering the guard force. One by one the guards fell to the ground, the citizens of Abresi screaming in fear and terror. As the dwarves annihilate the guard force they find the Queen unprotected and unsafe. They grab her and put her over one of their shoulders. The entire group leaves Abresi, content on what they had done. The dwarves make their way back to Kal’Ithrun, aware that the dead guards would be found and and that there would soon be a realisation that the Queen was missing. They scurry into Kal’Ithrun with their newly captured prisoner. They place her in their cells, keeping her hidden from the rest of Anthos. However the dwarves were proven right, the allied forces of the Humans and Orcs arrive outside the gates of Kal’Ithrun with the intention of reclaiming the kidnapped Queen. They attack the city, losing men as the dwarves rain arrows upon their lines. The dwarves had little to no casualties whereas the humans fall prey to the dwarven traps and techniques. The allied forces, realising they have lost too many, slowly begin to retreat, to the advantage of the dwarves. The dwarves sally and charge out and massacre the allied forces left behind. They push forward as they realise the surviving humans have occupied their lakefort. They charge once again into the lakefort, massacring its temporary residents. The dwarves realise they have won, but that it had not been enough. A charge is led from the fort by the Grand Marshal Zahrer Irongrinder, laying waste to the remaining human forces. They run out and chase the humans down, as they disperse into numbers fleeing in fear and cowardice as bodies begin to fall one by one. The dwarves ruthlessly kill all those who stand before them, showing them the same treatment they had been shown in the past. The dwarves rally back up at their trench, cheering in victory as they stand over the many corpses of humans and orcs. Though they had been clearly outnumbered, they had achieved victory. Once they arrive back in Kal’Ithrun ale is dispersed between the heroes of the battle and the citizens of Urguan cheer for their commanders. The dwarven Lords order the legionnaires to guard the gate as they go to converse about the newly captured Queen of Oren. A great victory happened that day, the dwarves proving to their enemies that they were not a force to be so easily put down. ((This was quite a fun skirmish, in preparation for the battle tomorrow. Please don’t troll or flame and if you have anything in OOC please put it in a spoiler alongside an RP post. Thanks!))

Smithers 388 Share Posted January 18, 2014 The situation becomes known. The envoy designated to speak with the Dwarven Lords about ending the war is issued new orders; the midget men attempted to deal a crushing blow only moments before diplomacy was to solve this tedious conflict. Instead, as ever, the midget men had perpetuated the conflict. There would be no open palm, no maple branch of peace. This time, the midget men and their pitiful nation would be pursued until destruction. This was no victory; just an assurance of an annihilation which could have otherwise be avoided. The midget men believed themselves to have a powerful bargaining chip but, in time, they would realize one thing: they would receive no quarter.
