The Wand Plugin?

Hello there, fellow RPers! Today, I would just like to ask a simple question that has been nagging my fanny ever since I saw this plugin in action.

So, some of you may know that we have a somewhat "Alpha" edition of the newest Magic Plugin that is able to be used by carrying around a Golden Hoe and Emeralds [PS, do not rename the Golden Hoe, it won't work as a staff any longer!]. This is a very nice rendition of basic magic casting, yes, but it does come with a few bugs [Cooldown, Range, Affect, etc.]. But, that is not what I am here to discuss!

I'm here to raise question to something I believe is called the "Wand Plugin". Something along those lines, I believe. But, if you do not know what this plugin does, I can explain it from a basic standpoint:

1. You make a wand.

2. You add certain spells to said wand.

3. You use wand in battle.

Now, someone who has the plugin might say my idea of it is completely wrong, and I apologize; I have never been able to use the wands myself. But, then again, not many have.

That is the basis of my question: why are we subject to a prototype magic plugin until the newest one when we have an obviously functioning plugin sitting around for only the elite casters? I just wish to know reasons, that is all.

And with that, I shall leave the topic open for any feedback. But, I do advise no angry posts or thrashing of any sort. :)

Because prototypes need to be tested.

Yes, but it has been tested over a long period of time now. I understand coding is difficult, but why not allow another option become available to the public?

The plugin is simply put too op for everyone to be able to use willynilly I personally would like to use it. But it is just too op for a lot more people to use. Examples would be Blundermores' human dive bombers we did when fighting the antags one time on the druid island. He can launch people like 60 blocks in the air and really far out. If everyone can dot hat there will be a lot of chaos.

The wand plugin should be given to et for one reason! It has amazing effects, and et should be able to use those effects to help give a good experience. But for general public use.... ya it's ridiculously OP ;-;.

92% of the server is on the ET... you are making no sense.

Alright, but should some form of attempting to get access to the plugin be in order? Like myself - and many other mages - we hardly battle. But when we do, we are usually fighting off mobs or the Antag's hordes of never ending minions.

So, what I guess I'm saying, is that we should perhaps have some way of getting the plugin through way of application or trials. :)

Hey, I want to ask:

Why do we even have magicalspells anymore?

We have the """basic combat magic rendition""" gold hoe rocket launchers, why on earth do we have a redundant plugin that has like two or three people who can use it?

Well, I am unsure, honestly. I feel that the Wand Plugin would be quite a lot better than the new, basic plugin. But, of course, there are factors that are crazily overpowered...

... but then again, will it not be the same for when the full version of spells is released?

Lol, the golden hoe plugin was not a prototype and isn't remotely related to Nexus-Magic. ;)

If you're implying we should use MScraft then i'm going to have to mace spray you. Our plugin we have at the moment is perfectly fine until Nexus rolls out.

He's talking about the wand plugin was the prototype.

[edit] But ye, why is the wand plugin still in use?

Actually, remove the hand cannon golden hoe plugin and give wands to mages. Seriously, Hand Cannons make no sense, and their use of "it's pvp for mages" went horribly wrong.
